He told us he's going to make it right and even sent people out to assess the damage and determine what it would take to remove the staining from the ceiling. This dragged on forever; in the meantime, additional rainstorms showed that they had not properly flashed around the skylights. They did fix those issues, including replacing one of the skylights at no cost. But the ceiling issue was never resolved. It dragged on for years, and we tried to be understanding and patient. We heard claims that the insurance company would be involved to help rectify. Nothing came of it, and our texts were soon ignored. The ceilings are still water-stained.

He began by…read moreemailing me back strictly "send building plans for estimate" as the subject of an email with nothing else. Then he calls me and proceeds to tell me that "contractors don't like to work with owners as generals" to that I replied with "well, we have been trying to find a general, but it was too far above our budget to include that as well". Then he proceeded to ask questions, which is fair, but in a condescending tone and with zero respect. Once I sent him our approved plans, he sent a list of aggressive questions without any context or having bothered to look at our plans. I was ready to give our business to this company, but could not believe how he was interacting with me. I'm sure he expected a man to answer the phone and when it was a woman, he felt that he could speak to me however he pleased. I hope he learns from this experience and treats potential customers with more respect next time.

I recently bought a home on the Central Oregon Coast and was searching for a painting contractor to…read morere-stain exterior woodwork on the house. Being new to the area, I did not know of any company in particular so reached out to different companies through an internet search. The owner of GRX Roofing, Gustavo, was one of the few that responded quickly. His quote was also very reasonable for not only the staining job but also for my gutters being cleaned and leaf guards being installed. From the beginning, he was very communicative every step of the way and always showed up on time as scheduled over the course of the 3 days for the 2 projects. I am very pleased with the outcome of his work and appreciative for his spotless cleanup. He also, as he worked, went above and beyond by doing some minor courtesy repairs such as re-caulking a window, as preventatives. I am now looking at having him build a deck for me in the near future. So, if you are looking for a conscientious and skilled professional contractor, who offers quality work at fair prices, I would highly recommend him. Carolyn S.

Once they pulled the shingles the rot in the plywood and eaves was clearly extensive. We are impressed at how quickly Gold City was able to replace all the damaged wood and how well the repairs were completed. Afterwards, the workers performed a thorough clean up all around the house, the gutters and parking area. Our organization owns a large number of commercial facilities including homes and hotels and we have detailed tracking of average expenses for a project like this, Gold City's quote and final invoice for all this work was well within our expectations. Based on their communication from start to finish, their team's professionalism in all aspects and the final result for a very fair price, I highly recommend Gold City Roofing.

The bid that was provided by them had a lot of "tbd" on the bid....what? The bathroom is about 12x12 and they quoted us over $6k to paint. $7400 for linoleum flooring. $600 for a porta potty, we have two other functional bathrooms! The guy (Jason) who came out insulted my intelligence when I told him my budget and he said nobody who's good would do it for that cost. Well let me tell you that 5 other reputable, insured, bonded, etc contractors came out and said that they could. Do yourself a favor...if you're getting a bid from them be sure to get bids from other companies as well.

Carlos at The Last Roof LLC was recommended to me by a family member who had his roof replaced. His family had their roof replaced over 8 years ago and they've had no problems. I actually had a total of 3 companies bid the job and The Last Roof happened to be the lowest of the three. The Last Roof gave me estimates for three different brands of roofing and I was able to choose the color according to what the brand offered. I feel like I was assisted in making the right choice for me. My home is two stories with 5 gables and it also had to add 3 exhaust vents for the bathrooms and laundry that had not been vented properly when my house was built in 2005. Carlos and his team cleaned up after themselves each day. Besides Carlos communicating with me, Cassandra in the office checked in with me to see if I had any concerns after the first day and on the last day. The roof looks fantastic and I feel like I got my money's worth.

Even if you already have another roofer in mind, it's absolutely worth your time to get a quote from Moon Roofing for comparison. In April 2025, our offer on a house in South Salem was accepted. During the inspection, it was clear the roof needed to be replaced. Our real estate agent referred us to a roofer he knew, but I wanted a second opinion. After reading reviews on Yelp, I decided to reach out to Moon Roofing. From my first call, the experience was impressive. Ariana answered the phone right away. I explained our situation and the urgency, and she promised to follow up within a couple of hours. Less than an hour later, she let me know that Armando would be stopping by that evening to inspect the roof, and that I'd have a quote the next day. Sure enough, the quote arrived early the next morning. The roofer referred by our agent also came out and provided a quote. Both companies quoted the same product (IKO Dynasty), and their prices were competitive with each other. After we closed in June, we asked both companies to re-quote the project using a higher-end material--Malarkey Windsor architectural shingles. Moon Roofing's updated quote was less than the other roofer's updated quote. The Malarkey shingles were special order and had about a two-week lead time. Armando managed to get the product in and installed just under that timeframe. He also replaced sixteen sheets of plywood and installed a new skylight, all for a very reasonable additional cost. We are thrilled with the final result and so glad we chose Moon Roofing. The quality, service, and value exceeded our expectations.
