We passed this place on our way into Surf City and were intrigued by the message on the sign that said we have eggs! So we stopped back a few days after Easter and were immediately drawn in by the delicious smell of chocolate and confections. The service was warm and welcoming and it was hard to choose, there were so many temptations! Was riding back from Surf City NC and we saw this shop along Rt 17 and decided to check it out. They had a kinds of home made dark chocolate (my favorite) covered nuts that it was hard to choose. So bought some of each. They had peanut, pecan, almond which were all delicious. The also had awesome chocolate mint wafers. There was much more, but I will sample the rest when we are back in the area. If you have a sweet tooth, this is a place to stop in. read more

My family and I stopped in here tonight on our way to Swansboro. My mom was in heaven! We met one of the owners and she was so sweet. We learned the whole story of how they started. Absolutely fantastic little chocolate and ice cream shop. We drive by here all of the time and finally made the impulse decision to stop. The outside is very cute with a a few tables and yard games. As soon as you open the door, the smell of fresh chocolate hits and we were so glad we stopped! The staff was so kind and friendly, welcoming us and telling us how pricing works. There were so many prepackaged choices or a build your own box with dark or milk chocolates. We built our own (which was perfect since I love milk chocolate and my husband loves dark chocolate).The price was $28.99/lb. We thought we'd get away without getting any of the ice cream, but they had free tasting sample. They use their chocolate in vanilla ice cream... it was to die for so easily caved and bought 2 pints! They had two flavors of icecream at the time (chocolate peanut butter and mint chocolate). The staff asked how far we were traveling as they have icepacks for further drives so the icecream can make the trip home. We couldn't wait to eat the chocolate and ate half the box in the 20 minute drive home. The chocolate is absolutely delicious! We could not recommend stopping at this cute little local place more!!!! read more

Burry's is my go to for any occasion that I need a gift for. Holidays, birthdays, teacher appreciation, you name it. They have an amazing selection of fresh chocolates for a great price. I often go in for some of the prepackaged goods but always end of leaving with a box of goodies. They chocolate covered s'mores are my FAVORITE and we are a big fan of the chocolate covered crackers too. The other awesome thing about this spot is they always have little gift sets out together and holiday themed ones. They also do a bunch of fruit dipped in chocolate too which is always nice. The last thing I want to point out is how friendly the staff is. I have never walked in and not been greeted. Called a while about dark choc pecans and was told the machine was down, but a part was on order and to check back tomorrow. Called the next morning and they said the part was in and could have dark choc pecans by 1. So i placed an order. I got there a little before 2 and was told they cant do dark choc pecans. When i said i called that morning and was told i could have an order at 1 the girl told me "we just got the part this morning, how could we do that?" I happened to drive by when someone staked in a chocolate sign signifying they were open. I literally made my husband turn the car around so we could try it. As I walked in, you could smell the heavenly aroma of fresh chocolate! They had just finished making a batch of chocolate covered Oreos and graham crackers. My kids kinda went ooh and ahhh so they kindly gave them a sample of each. We're all digging the the chocolate dipped graham crackers. I asked what was their signature. They pointed me to their chocolate and almond covered brittles in milk and dark chocolate. After giving me a sample, I snagged a bag.
