Not much we can do as this is a City service. But I am a local resident and an apartment manager and every time I call and speak to Cathy she is incredibly rude. I hope someone in upper Management see's this as has a conversation with her. For example today, I asked for a confirmation number for a large item pick up (as we are being billed and I have to charge back this cost) and she says "I don't know what that is" and I responded that we normally receive a number for the work scheduled and she then rudely laughs and says "oh you mean the work order number?! It's for a work order" and I simply said, yes. That please. Then, on Monday, I called and asked for her to confirm that a pick up was done at the property over the weekend, and then never heard back from her. She said she had to reach out to the driver and I was not able to hold on the phone to find out. That she would call me back and surprise surprise, I never heard back from her. Overall Burrtec is great, but I think this employee could use some customer service training. read more

I don't see how to specifically shout out upland burrtec waste but I've been incredibly pleased with them. They've been patient and accommodating when I've had to run out late with my bin, and friendly in general. I've had to call twice in the last few years to exchange bins and they are quick and helpful. Today I called Upland Burrtec and Marilyn was friendly, upbeat and helped me. I was dreading making phone calls this morning, and she got me off to a great start with free removal and replacement this upcoming Monday and happy to serve! Great service read more

Worst service ever. They don't do what they say they're going to do- even if you're working construction and you request the bins to be picked up daily. Also, the drivers will lie and say the bin is empty when it's full. They won't get you serviced that same day, and certainly won't hold their drivers to a time. Horrible company. read more

Only service in San Gabriel, Los Angeles County, their motto is "We'll Take Care of It," BUT they don't. Be aware: Cleaning out your home /garage items are EQUAL to dried leaves and yard waste bags for bulky pick-up! read more

Only service in Sierra Lakes. The service is timely, and the staff handles every issue I can think of. Four times a year you can schedule up to 5 large items for pickup and they do it on our scheduled route day. Trucks are clean and drivers are friendly. The price for this service is reasonable, especially when considering any alternatives. Thanks! read more

Terrible pick up service. Have forgotten more than once. They need to change the way they do service. read more

This was my first visit to this Burrtec Fontana, CA recycling facility. Normally, l use a recycling center located in Ontario, CA, to submit my plastic PET water bottles and aluminum cans for CRV redemption.. I learned of this Fontana Burrtec recycling center from a recent flyer that was enclosed with my last waste service billing statement. I found the Fontana Burrtec facility cleaner, and more professionally operated than other recycling centers that l've used in the past. The Fontana recycling center is a very large facility. Unlike other center's, the Burrtec crew l met were more courteous and customer helpful; attired in full-body suit protective clothing, hearing protection and protective head-gear. Years ago, l worked as an industrial safety consultant & inspector conducting CAL/OSHA-like inspections, and visited similar-like businesses. From my brief, outside-looking into that main recycling facility, it appeared that it was well-maintained and employee safety was a priority. I talked a little with an employee named "Zack" about the facility. I will utilize this facility for my future recycling needs. read more

They suck so bad. We have them for our city's trash and recycling. Threw a box I had to be recycled into a spot very difficult to get. If you aren't going to take it leave it, don't throw it. I feel like I am being harassed by my garbage man. They have done several things to me. I haven't done anything to cause it. read more

Bad service, I had a bit (not even half way full) of green waste and the guy did not want to take it and I called to complain and the wanted to charge $20 to take that extra waste smh read more

Burrtec sucks!!! I wish there is an option to give a negative score; that how much they suck! So, trash day is Monday. 9 out of 10 times, Burrtec picks up the Recycling bin (the blue container) on a Tuesday. And on a windy day, they just don't even come around. How asinine is that? I wish Fontana would look for a different vendor. The city and its residents deserve better. read more

Customer service is non-existent. 30 minute waits for the representative who "will be on the line shortly" are common. Two missed collections just this month. If you have a choice, don't use Burrtec. If you don't have a choice, consider buying a truck and taking it to the dump yourself. It's probably cheaper, and certainly more reliable. read more

If I could give this company a negative rating I would. This is definitely a GARBAGE company, not just in classification but in literally every way possible. They harrass their customers for payment while delivering the worst service possible. The last bulk pick up we ordered sat in front of our house for 5 days after the scheduled date, I had to call numerous times to get someone to take it away. Yard waste wasn't picked up two weeks ago, cans are cracked even though I have asked for replacements and extra recycle and green bins they haven't been delivered. This company is EXCELLENT at harassment though. Sending threats of liens and what not to home owners who don't even occupy the home but have renters who are doing their best to keep up. ALL other utility companies are working to help their customers but not this trashy business. read more

Literally just watched one of these guys pick up a toppled trash can, drop an entire bag of garbage, and proceed to leave the bag on the street rather than simply put it back in the dumpster for the truck to dispose of. Why would I pay for anyone to dump my trash in the street? Train your lazy employees to do a simple job rather than waste our money and destroy your image.. read more

Burrtec's lowboy trash bin delivery window is "between 6 AM and 6 PM" in Riverside. Plumbers are able to provide a 2 to 3 arrival window. Cable companies are able to provide a 2 to 3 hour arrival window. Electricians are able to provide a 2 to 3 hour arrival window. Burrtec is unable to provide a 2 to 3 hour arrival window. read more

Every time I call for a large pickup, these ladies are so nice . It's a breath of fresh air to talk to someone over the phone that gives you common courtesy . They replace my broken trash cans , they answer all my dumb questions. They wait for me in rainy days to run my trash cans to the curb. They are just cool people all around . Thanks! read more

We have used Burrtec for many years and never had any issue. Annually we order a dumpster for our annual garden clean up, the customer service has always been great. When we have large furniture items we no longer want they are a phone call away and will pick up at no charge. Last we my daughter in law and l were trying to move. big oak tv cabinet down our driveway for pickup the next day when a Burrtec truck happened to drive down our street, the driver saw us struggling with it pulled up got out of the truck and helped us. He asked what we were doing and l told him we were putting it at the street for a scheduled pick up later in the week. He said even though it was not our scheduled day he would take it. Now that was going above & beyond. These guys work very hard and it's a job that nobody wants and this guy went out of his way to help us with a great attitude and a smile. Thank you! read more

I have been a Burrtec customer for the last 6 years, and unfortunately, because Burrtec is the ONLY waste management company in my area (North Fontana), we are at Burrtec's mercy. I would not have a problem with Burrtec monopolizing this industry if they actually lived up to their moto, "We get it done." I called Burrtec on Friday, May 19, 2017, and scheduled a bulk waste pick-up. The representative I spoke with was very polite and prompt. However, to my demise, it was probably because she wasn't doing her job right or didn't know how to do it. She didn't ask me what type of bulk items I wanted picked up, nor did she specify the limit of items, as other representatives have disclosed in the past. I just figured she didn't ask or disclose those details to me because she pulled up my account and saw that I have had bulk pick-ups in the past and was already familiar with Burrtec's policy. This representative scheduled me for bulk pick-up on Monday, May 22, 2017. I went out of my way to have the bulk items out by the curb the night before. Unfortunately, toward the end of the business day on Monday, May 22, 2017, the items were still sitting in front of my house and had not been moved. I immediately called Burrtec to inquire why the items were still here and I was informed that I had not been scheduled for bulk pick-up. WHAT?!? The representative I spoke to (Nadine) asked me for a ticket number for the scheduled bulk pick-up and I told her that I was not provided with one. Nadine then told me that her system was going to log her out and that she had to transfer me to another representative (Judy). What the heck is THAT all about? Why take a call if your "system" can't handle it? So now I'm getting transferred around just to reschedule an appointment that an incompetent Burrtec representative dropped the ball on and failed to schedule. Even though the bulk pick-up hours are from 6 am to 6 pm, Nadine and Judy both told me that they were unable to contact the driver to have the driver conduct a bulk pick-up at my house. Mind you, this phone call took place before 5 pm. What kind of shenanigans is this?? Who does not have a cell phone nowadays? Is Burrtec operating in the stone age? Judy ensured me that I have been scheduled for the following week, but who knows for sure. I don't have much faith in Burrtec. If there was an alternative to Burrtec, I would take it in a heartbeat. Needless to say, I had to pull all my bulk waste back onto my property, store them for another week, and drag them back out next week in hopes that Burrtec pulls through with their (false) promise and "get it done." ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!! read more

THANK YOU Burrtec for hosting the Upland Leadership class last night--food, facilities and presentations were outstanding! The class was very impressed with major improvements in the array of "trash" Burrtec recycles. We learned a great deal about waste recycling and all of the products that are derived from the raw materials you collect. Keep up the good and progressive work you are doing! A tour of this waste recycling center is an eye-opener for anyone who seldom uses their BLUE recycling bin. I highly suggest looking into scheduling one. Burrtec's offices are at this facility and their training room has a window overlooking the blue bin recycling operations...one word, wow! Thank you again Burrtec! read more

Folks I spoke with were courteous and responsive with my special pick-up. Professional company

Absolute garbage, the cashier lied to my face and just made up a price. Since I was required to give her a deposit before hand I had to argue for my own money and be lied to about some made up extra cost that didn't even appear on the receipt. Absolute pathetic garbage. Be on the lookout for that thief named Vero. read more

The customer service is always attentive and they came back as a courtesy because our bin was not placed out in time. Thank You so much.

Burrtec in Yucca Valley has different rules according to different customer service rep? I just moved to Morongo Valley- I called and asked to transfer my service that I had paid thru OCt in Joshua Tree to my new location, the customer service who was rushed & grumpy said we do not do that. Then I asked for a new service letting her know I just bought the house & moving the next day, instead of welcoming me to the area, she demanded that I fax her my deed, I said the deed will become the public record, for now I have escrow information & I do not have a fax machine. She refused to work with me & got unreasonable & I hung up on her. Next day I called & got a nice lady who took my order & said she will bill me. On the day of the delivery of the bin I got a call that they had my address number wrong & they corrected it but still did not deliver, I called again & after waiting about 10 minutes I found out from Cindy they had just left me a VM that they will not deliver the bin, the message said they needed payment in advance for the full 4 months, although they had transferred from my Joshua Tree acct. they were still short a bit to cover the full next 4 months....Ridiculous!!!! I said to Cindy when I made the order the lady said you will bill me, She asked who said that ? What was the name? I said I do not know, I can't remember the names. Cindy said we have 12 people working here you need to know the name. I gave in to the demand and paid them over the phone with my credit card but it was too late for the delivery for this week. They already had my money for at least the next 2 months & the other lady had said they will bill me any way ... What is this about? Why cause more stress for stressful moving? While my garbage is piling up the next day I got the bill in the mail, the same bill that I was forced to pay by my credit card on the phone! All I can think is that grumpy lady was getting even with me because I hung up the phone on her & did not obey her ridiculous demands!!! While moving is so stressful Burrtec customer service created a very unsafe situation for us, the unsafe environment with garbage & bugs! read more

While the customer service is acceptable, the time management is appalling. I've had to call Burrtec 4 times to get a replacement for a recycle can that was stolen from the front of our house. Four times!!! And we still haven't gotten the replacement they promise that will come on Friday. Now I'll have to go to the office myself to shut someone down in person . Of course that won't matter because who else can I use for trash? Not a damn thing I can do. read more

Your drivers in Bloomington are some fat lazy drivers. How effort does it take to throw a piece of trash into the back of the truck. Unbelievable. You drive around in a truck ALL day and you can't fathom the idea of throwing a piece of trash another 2 feet above you. Laziness at its absolute finest read more

If I could give a zero I would. I got there to offload and it took 20 mins to get to. Then sat in a line to get out for like 40 mins. This is bullshit. They need to work out something for their trucks to use a different entrance and exit. I'll never come back. read more

Recently purchased a new house in Burrtec's service area. Called and spoke to a lady over the phone who was pretty rude. Had to send in proof of ownership and she was not very helpful and I felt rushed and did not get all of the information I had requested. After emailing the required documents, I did not receive a confirmation or customer account #. As a result I had to call back and during the time I was on hold the call was dropped three different times. I eventually was able to speak to another lady who was equally short/rude/not informative. Have not experienced the actual waste removal but hope it is nothing like the customer service experience over the phone. My feedback would be some additional customer service training and monitoring customer calls to encourage friendly, helpful customer service rep's who are not so rude. read more

Since the City of Fontana gets a kick-back for letting companies have a monopoly on services such as roll off dumpsters, were getting basically raped on the cost for these services. The rules that are imposed are ridiculous and the costs are absorbent and very over priced if look upon as to the standard of the industry. read more

Worst customer service. I got charged double($245) for some reason. No big deal I just needed a refund. Called to get my refund and s/w Blanca, she informed me it would need to be sent to supervisor and would come as a live check and would take 4-6weeks till it arrives and asked me to call back in 2 days to make sure it was sent. I was ok with that as long as it was done. Called back in 2 days and to my surprise Blanca did not send my refund check to supervisor for approval. She told me she would send it as expedited so it would arrive sooner. She again told me to call back in a few days. I let 1 1/2 weeks go by and called back. This time I s/w Liz, who looked in system and said Blanca put in notes but never sent it to supervisor for approval.WTF!! It's been a month come on and do your job right! I'm calling back before closing today to make sure it's done. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER in Fontana! read more

The pick up drivers- all 3 get 5 stars!! The telephone service - i believe her name is Cathy- is a poor worker with a negative attitude. She was supposed to get me a blue recyclable can replaced since the other was split down the side and top cover busted off on one side and the other side only worked if manually latched together by hand. Ms. Cathy said the can would be replaced in 2 weeks. Two weeks passed -nothing on Monday-Trash day. I called the next day- Ms. Cathy picked up the phone -lucky for me; She said, i will send out a driver and have it delivered tomorrow since it will take a day. The next came and went. Nothing. I called back the following day and another lady picked up the phone and said the original order was scheduled for this upcoming Monday. I gave her detailed time and dates while she was writing information for her supervisor to read and have replacement sent. The same day blue can was replaced. I had very bad vibes when speaking with Cathy by phone. She was not at all considerate to my request and seems to have a personal self issue that manifests and spreads toward co-workers and customers. read more
