I ordered from Burrito King via GrubHub a few nights ago. Food arrived hot and the portions are massive! My husband got the Burrito King, seriously it's huge, can easily feed 2 people. Also ordered the enchiladas supremas which weren't bad, it was terribly messy though in its container, it's I think 5 different enchiladas, couldn't tell which was which, too much sauce too. Ordered from here using eatstreet order. Order was on time. Got my food and wasn't correct food. Ordered a burrito king and burrito princess and got two princesses. Called back about this, talked to person on phone and they said they would have one sent out to me quickly. Waited over an hour before calling back. Got on the phone and the person answering was disrespectful, threatened to hang up on me, and when I asked questions, was being abruptly rude. This kind of service is something that will make me not come back here. He was then offering a $1.25 refund for a $10.00 burrito and when I said that did not make sense, he presumed to say the same thing. Two of three meals were correct. Veggie Fajita quesadilla, veg burrito, shrimp burrito ordered, but received a very meaty burrito instead of a veg fajita. It was a delivery to people staying at a hospital, and it came with no napkins, silverware, or straws. The horchata was flavorless. I wish I could give this zero stars. The burrito I got from here made me feel sad and is honestly the worst burrito I have had in my life. I don't leave many reviews but this experience forced me to write one. There is not one grain of seasoning in the entire burrito. Very pricey for below average Mexican food. The only above average part about this place is the chips and dip which will run you a quick 4 dollars btw with far too much dip and basically 10 chips all together. And if you want more chips and salsa then you can pay even more money. The burritos here are about 9 dollars I believe, and for this price I should get the same quality and amount of food I would at Pepe's, which I absolutely don't. Oh and the burritos can very easily be made at your house for probably one dollar in ingredients with more flavor and proportions that are actually fair. These burritos come with an extremely minimal amount of protein in them too, it's all practically veggies and did not even completely fill my 150lb frame up. I almost forgot to mention that the wait here is almost always 30 minutes. The only plus side is that it is open til about 3:30am I believe. I have trouble admitting it, but Torticas is probably my favorite place to eat in all of Champaign. What I enjoy most there is the bang for your buck. Never before have I gotten so much food for so little. Not to mention, the food is amazing. Now granted, I have a very, very favorable disposition to Mexican food. But there's just something so wonderful about getting a massive burrito covered in queso in a flimsy to go box, accompanied with a small, greasy brown bag of complimentary chips and salsa (delivery). My favorite place on campus to get late next Mexican. They are always open late which is perfect because you can hit up the bar and then head over for some Mexican. I always order a vegetarian but without mushrooms. Whenever I order for delivery they rarely get my order correct by putting mushrooms in the burrito. The food here is absolutely delicious. I get the vegetarian fajita (which is full of a variety of veggies, unlike other places) and comes with rice, beans, and salsa (it does not come with chips). Came here hunger pang laden and left in a food coma! My first visit here definitely surpassed the expectations I had. The people working there are very pleasant and the servings are gigantic while the prices are very nominal. The food tastes fantastic - hence the overeating on my part. They're a great place to eat at after hitting the bars on green- they're open until 3am practically every school night. The food is really hit-and-miss, though. Some times it's been amazing and some times it's been really crappy. The one amazing constant has been their chips and salsa. They give those for free with your food- their salsa is 100% better than maize's and that's saying something. Absolutely love the recipe!! I've had deliveries from Tortica's over 6 times every month. The combo meals are a great value- you can get a relatively authentic meal of two tacos, rice, and beans for $7 out the door, or a bigger platter (my choice was the burrito, enchilada, and tamale) for just a little bit more. Sure, the value and authenticity are great, but the one thing that will keep me coming back is the chorizo. The really smoky flavor is among the best that I have had. I have only had the worst experiences with burrito king. Out of the 4 times I have ordered from here, I have only actually been able to eat my food once. I have dietary restrictions and literally ask for everything to be as plain as can be (especially no dairy) and every time, my order has been completely wrong (literally drenched in sour cream and cheese) and has been delivered incredibly late. The only time I was able to eat the food was because someone else pitied me and swapped their meal with mine. I have even tried going to the restaurant to order to see if that would help the situation but my order is always messed up. Maybe I'd enjoy it, if I was actually able to eat it. read more

Burrito King is always one of my favorite late-night food stops. I went in this past Saturday for the quesadilla meal - a cheese quesadilla with rice, salad, and chips and salsa is only $5. So last night the Chori Pollo I ordered was missing the cheese and when I called Burrito King to complain and ask for cheese I was unable to reach them via telephone, which was very frustrating. That all being said, the manager ended up calling me to apologize and he offered to bring me a free replacement meal today, which definitely makes up for last night's snafu. I used to work in food service and I totally understand that sometimes things can get crazy and mistakes will be made. What is most important is how a business deals with making up for the mistake and I feel like Burrito King went above and beyond. To start off, it took like 10 minutes to get our order. It also took quite a while to get our chips and salsa. They were pretty good, but you can't really mess that up. My whole party ordered steak burritos and it was surprisingly quick. However, you can't hold the burrito, so you have to cut it up with a fork and knife. I love Burrito King- it's amazing and delicious. Their service is awful in terms of timing. Pick up orders say they'll take 20 minutes and EASILY take an hour. This has happened every single time I've ordered there and it sucks but I keep going back because I love the food.
