I am so glad that there is another restaurant that has opened after Covid. I know it is exceptionally hard to hire skilled customer focused employees, even without Covid. In light of slower service the food quality was exceptional exceeding my expectations after dining multiple times at the 3 other larger Mexican restaurants in town. The beverage selection was large with the jumbo margarita being awesome! The key to an enjoyable meal that is not going as well as you would like is to get up and nicely speak with the supervisor or manager. This is how restaurants improve service and how is locals can help non-branded restaurants survive. Cheers! read more

Food was awesome I got the paella, drinks were tall. Prices were cheap and portions were big. My brother got the barrito amigo. Lots of room and comfortable booths to sit in steak plate for two for 18 dollars is awesome too. Service was timely! read more

This place is amazing! The ambiance is typical for a Mexican restaurant, and it was nice and clean. Service was nice and our server was very attentive. I had the Mojarra, which is the whole fried tilapia fish with rice and a salad. Presentation was beautiful and the food was perfectly seasoned. I will definitely be back again!!! read more

For the longest time, when I go to a new Mexican restaurant I order the carnitas. Mainly because I love the flavor and portion size, but a secondary reason is that carnitas aren't easy to make and takes a long time to make. If the restaurant gets it right, you're guaranteed to have a rich, flavorful meal. Now, obviously if the Cooks mess it up or rush it, you've got a 50/50 chance. Unfortunately the carnitas I was served here were pretty lack luster. It was tender and wasn't full of big pieces of fat which were all positive attributes, but it had a crock pot roast flavor, not the slow roasted/braised flavor I'm looking for in this dish. Didn't see or taste any crispy bits, which is were lots of the flavor comes from. The fried potatoes, refried beans and rice weren't anything special either. I will go back to this establishment though, as everyone else seemed to really enjoy their selections, the service was prompted, and the place was very clean. Over all it was a pleasant experience, just not what I was hoping for. read more

Great food , ample portions , huge menu . Lol only bummer seeing old crush .,, the staff was so friendly !

Excellent shrimp dishes and attentive service. Some of the best chips and salsa in the area. It's a noisy place, but the high booths work to keep conversation in your party. read more

Yummy food, big lunch portions and super nice staff. Restaurant has a very laid back atmosphere

My go to for fast food and good drinks!! The staff is very friendly! I always get supreme quesadillas with mushrooms instead of meat and they've never done me wrong! Definitely not the most authentic or healthy option but it's a great for pregaming or GNO read more

Las Palmas - Lime margarita, beans and rice, mushroom supreme quesadilla - Mexican Near Me - Champaign, Illinois

Food was okay, very uncomfortable experiences with the staff making comments towards me (female) both times we went. The service is not great. All in all, not worth feeling uncomfortable and waiting long amounts of time for subpar food. read more

Went during lunch, 2 adults and 1 child. Let's say the best thing that came out of the kitchen was the Corndog and fries. I ordered a chicken fajita taco salad and I had to dig and look for my chicken, the tortilla bowl it came in was stale. The carnitas were tender but ZERO flavor. The service was great the food was not. read more

Loved the mango margarita! We got there and had to give our number for the waitlist. They called us back about 20 minutes later. We got there and I noticed our server is in a rush but I get it they were busy. But still, other servers "served" us more whenever we needed something, like spoon or more salsa, a different waiter noticed us and was more attentive. Overall the food was great! And the margarita wasnt too strong but the flavor was good. Will be back soon! read more

Love this place. Service is great, Staff is very friendly/attentive and food is amazing. Would recommend

the menu they handed us and the price on the menu were different. when we received our bill every item was more than what listed. when we asked to see a menu to compare we were denied. For example tacos were listed on the menu as 6.99 and we were charged 9.99. we were also up charged on every item, receiving larger portion sizes and being charged for them and the price was still inflated. read more

I don't recommend ordering from this restaurant for pickup. I used Doordash for this order, which air commonly use for many restaurant pickups. All of the food was cold though we arrived promptly enough that it should have at least been warm. The chicken fajitas were missing the rice, beans, and tortillas. I requested no cheese on top of a burrito but it came with cheese, anyway. I ordered for 4 people and each requested hot sauce with their meal. We were only given one small hot sauce. It was a very disappointing lunch for the price. read more

Margarita was watery. Rice wasn't correctly cooked (crunch/under cooked). Refried beans were less than meh. Seafood burrito was tasty! Bug in bottom of basket of chips. Veggie quesadilla was fine. Waited 15+ minutes to get our check. Probably won't be back. read more

I eat here about once a week. They definitely DO NOT skimp on portions. I've thoroughly enjoyed every dish I've tried with the exception of the guacamole which is a bit bland for my taste. Service is fast, friendly and exceptional. read more

The service was awful!!! Our waiter only came to check on us to rush us out. When we got the bill I noticed a 1.50 charge and asked what it was for. During dinner I asked for extra sour cream and received about two tablespoons of sour cream. When I asked the waiter he told us it was for the sour cream. The problem I have is not with the charge, but with the lie. He didn't inform us of the charge and I would have been okay with it if he had actually said something. When I said he lied he then decided he would take it off the Bill. I then said the point was not for him to remove it but to admit he lied. I'm only giving it a one star because you have to. read more
