This is a place to stop by in the heart of WINNIE! Let me tell you their pricing is super affordable and they serve a pretty good portion! It has its own style and great for grabbing a quick bite over the normal fast food joints near by. The service is great and the staff is very good about making sure their customers are happy! I had the enchiladas lunch and it was just what I was looking for! Very simple and delicious! Please note they even have green salsa and red salsa to go with it! My fave was the green salsa and good type of spicy for chips! What I love the most is they have tons of choices from tacos, burritos, enchiladas, to crispy tacos. The best part they even have mixed plates if you want to try a little of everything. It is a small restaurant, but well worth trying! Probably the best Mexican food in Winnie. Only issue is after many years of being open from morning to late evening they are now only open for breakfast and lunch. This is really really good. I found it the other day on our way back from Beaumont and absolutely love it. There's at least six ladies in the back working so you know the food is great. All of that combined knowledge and tradition is evident in the quickly served food. The value is better than anything around. You order at the counter they bring the food to you. Quickly. Not much to chose from and food i would rate from fair to good. The service is great & find that, itself, a likely reason for return. The bummer for me was that the tortillas are not made in house and the food lacked any flair in flavor that I would write home about. This place was AMAZING! The menu was easy to navigate and well detailed. Everything was really cheap and tasted high quality. The portions are very large and you definitely get what you pay for if not more. The place itself was very clean, no clutter like you'd expect to find in a small restaurants. There was a drive through that consistently had customers the whole time I was there. Even with the busy drive-thru, after I ordered my food came out in a matter of minutes. All hot and freshly prepared. You order at the walk up window and a server will bring it to your table with silverware and two salsas; the salsa verde was so good! Red is hotter but indistinct. I ate Pork Tamales. The flavor is there, inside and covered with the cleanest and lightest tasting Masa. The sauce is red ranchera. Good experience. All is fresh. The breakfast tacos were pretty good. The tortillas were amazing. The salsa was lacking though. Too thin. Not a very good flavor. The tacos are super fresh and being that we are from out of town I cannot compared them to anywhere else nearby. But they hit the spot on our drive home from our beach house. read more

The second time here, they forgot about my order... 30 min later, being the only person there, I finally asked them and they thought I had always gotten it. Nope. This place makes the best burritos this side of i10..... The fajita meat burrito express fully loaded with guac and extra pico is my favorite but I'm told the grilled chicken is a nice second. The burritos are HUGE! Enough to save half for another meal. The breakfast burritos are truly authentic and the churrizo breakfast burrito with tomatoes and potatoes is simply heavenly on cold mornings... My dad enjoys the menudo they offer on weekends only. Although you can step inside and eat, the drive thru is typically packed and wrapped around the building. They even offer the sodas from Mexico too.... Cokes seem sweeter. No seafood incorporated in their food. It's true Mexican food here. Lots of pork, chicken and beef. Even the menu isn't the typical tex mex jargon you typically see. It's in Spanish so good luck. On the trips from The Golden Triangle to Houston, this was the one and only stop my family and i ever made in the entire 7 years i was in Texas.
