Probably the best Mexican food in Winnie. Only issue is after many years of being open from morning to late evening they are now only open for breakfast and lunch. So if u want a delicious burrito come before lunch time is done. Best things to order is the Burrito Express Burrito all the way, chips con queso and Mexican cokes!!! Just wish they would be open for dinner again!

This is really really good. I found it the other day on our way back from Beaumont and absolutely love it. There's at least six ladies in the back working so you know the food is great. All of that combined knowledge and tradition is evident in the quickly served food. The value is better than anything around. You order at the counter they bring the food to you. Quickly. This has become destination point when we are in the area. I've had the gorditas, the tacos and the enchiladas. My husband was had the fajitas and a burrito, again great value. Highly recommend

This place was AMAZING! The menu was easy to navigate and well detailed. Everything was really cheap and tasted high quality. The portions are very large and you definitely get what you pay for if not more. The place itself was very clean, no clutter like you'd expect to find in a small restaurants. There was a drive through that consistently had customers the whole time I was there. Even with the busy drive-thru, after I ordered my food came out in a matter of minutes. All hot and freshly prepared. You order at the walk up window and a server will bring it to your table with silverware and two salsas; the salsa verde was so good! The queso and quac were also very good. Highly impressed, and would go often if I lived closer.

Drove from Beaumont to try this place. And I was not let down. Some of the best Mexican food I've ever had can be found here. The prices are very fair and the food filling. I loved every second of the tamale and the the enchilada. The taco was stuffed to the brim with love. I'll be back as a repeat customer from now on.

Counter order, delivered ti your table. Ordered a Tamale Lunch plate. The beans and rice are simple and mediocre. Table sauces to squirt on the dish are red and green. The verde is tasty tomatillo. Red is hotter but indistinct. I ate Pork Tamales. The flavor is there, inside and covered with the cleanest and lightest tasting Masa. The sauce is red ranchera. Good experience. All is fresh. Not tried the tacos.

Tacos are great at a great price! Homemade food served super fast. Two different salsas green and red both are delicious! Stop on your way to the beach and have a taco picnic.

The breakfast tacos were pretty good. The tortillas were amazing. The salsa was lacking though. Too thin. Not a very good flavor. The tacos are super fresh and being that we are from out of town I cannot compared them to anywhere else nearby. But they hit the spot on our drive home from our beach house.

    Great menu

This place was amazing!!! The menu and prices were great. I got the tacos and they were really good. I have no complaints.

Good size, fresh tasting. Didn't feel like a slob after having one. Wish there was an Express closer to home.

Great food. Great service. Great prices. An unassuming little place to grab a burrito or torta if you ever find yourself in Winnie.

You can't miss it, the brightly painted exterior with the name of the restaurant in big letters along the roof is impossible to miss. We arrived at around 1:15 so the usual lunch crowd had thinned out and we got a table for the 8 of us right away. Our server took drink orders while we all checked out the menu. Tia Juanita's Fish Camp serves a mix of Cajun/TexMex and great seafood all rolled into one! While we were tempted to order an appetizer of fried alligator balls, we opted to just proceed with lunch as we hoped to be ahead of early rush hour traffic back in Houston. I ended up trying a cup of the Seafood Gumbo, it was perfectly made with a decent amount of shrimp and other seafood, nicely flavored gumbo broth and a small amount of rice to pull it all together. After that I had the Shrimp Quesadillas. Other members of our group got fish or fish tacos, seafood enchiladas and other tasty things and everyone agreed the food was great with large portions. You want seafood? Well they don't skimp on the seafood in your order, it's virtually popping out of your tacos! Our server was great and took care of each of us, when she brought out the separate checks she delivered them to each person correctly and then returned credit cards to each without a mistake. The restaurant is brightly decorated, hardly a square inch of free space on the walls! This place is definitely worth the trip or pulling off of the freeway as you drive by.

The place was pretty full the 2 times we visited recently, even at 5:30 pm. The first time we ended up being seated near the entrance to the rest room, so there was a continuous stream of people going by yesterday. No Bueno. We started with drinks, and ordered chips and salsa. Yes, they charge for this, but the chips are really good. On our first visit this time I ordered a blackened fish po boy combo, which was a half sandwich, fries, and choice of gumbo. My husband ordered a roast beef po boy with fries and potato salad. I love a good gumbo. The cup of seafood gumbo that came with my meal had plenty of shrimp and fish, but the roux bordered on burned. My sandwich was overly salty, but the fries were excellent. I had peach sweet tea, which was very refreshing. My husband enjoyed his beef po boy. It came with dipping sauce. There was no skimping on the amount of meat in his sandwich. On our 2nd visit this trip we asked to be seated in a quiet area. It was much better. We had salads... grilled chicken for him, taco salad for me. We really enjoyed our meals. If we return to Winnie, we will give Tia Juanita another try. But we'll be sure to insist on being seated away from the rest rooms.

I have only once had corn tortillas that were like that... and the charro beans weren't overly seasoned but were soft and you could taste the bean itself... and the Spanish rice was the same way lightly seasoned but moist and you could taste the rice's flavor... the entire staff was bright, friendly and energetic and the food was served very promptly... I translated the name and it means "the casserole" in English and when I asked the waitress about the name she said it is also the name of an area in Mexico where they are from...I'm sure these girls will have a successful business... So keep up the good work I give them a big two thumbs up!
