I ordered a chicken burrito and I was shocked when I saw that the meat added was brown? Either way, the burrito wasn't very good and tasted like nothing but bread. I wouldn't recommend coming here. read more

The service is always so slow!!!! My order was wrong, so I had to wait again.... I saw them mess up two other orders during my wait. Go across the street to Fat Bastard, way better flavor and clearly more organized. read more

I love this place. Quick, "healthy", filling and affordable! I always get the mix chicken and steak and it's the best! One thing I find super awkward is when they ask if I want everything on and say and pick things individually. I CANT THINK WHAT I DONT WANT THAT FAST, IM SORRY! I always seem to get an "ugh hurry up look" That said it's delicious and $8 for a large that's basically football sized? Not bad at all. read more

Just try it. Favourite burrito place in kw. The (naked)bowls are good too! Good toppings and yummy meat as well as rice and beans. Ugh I want to eat there again now that I'm thinking about it. read more

Pretty good, but not amazing. Tried the haddock burrito and it didn't have nearly enough sauce on it, and the "hot" sauce was not spicy at all (or there just wasn't enough to taste it). Ingredients seemed fresh though, and even the small burrito was huge--although it's still twice the price you'd pay for a similar burrito at a taco truck in California. Good if you're in the area and craving a burrito, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. read more

Paid $12 for a calamari bowl only to realize that it comes with 5 tiny pieces of it. When I asked for extra salsa on the side, they said it'd be an extra charge. I don't understand the difference between putting more on my bowl compared to giving it to me on the side so I can do it myself. The only pros of this place is the quantity and amount of veggies they gave. read more

Their burrito is tasty and very big for a reasonably affordable price. Very good for takeout if you feel like eating Mexican.

Honestly they took my burrito virginity and I've tried chipotle in the states and I'm kinda like burrito boyz is better and its kinda cheaper since the american dollar is higher. You get what you paid for, big ass burrito for a good price and it makes me full every time. Tastes good, like I dono what else to say nothing is bad really. All good in my opinion! read more

Went there today, looked the the lettuce was chopped up last week. If I hadn't already paid I would have walked out. Didn't get any of that old was lettuce on my burrito, but that lack of quality that goes into almost every burrito. Pretty disappointed. read more

Burrito Boyz - Tex-Mex Near Me - Waterloo, Ontario

This is the best place to get a burrito in the area. Call in to pre-order and skip the lines when it's busy.

Tried every burrito here and combination. Compared to all the ones i have tried, it seems there wrap here is cheaper. Other then that they know how to make good burritos and are consistent. If someone else opened a burrito place near by wouldnt be surprised if some of the customers would go there as it gets boring after you have tried everything. read more

2star as the service is getting weaker but maybe they are having a long day. Depends on who is making your burrito sometimes it has more or less toppings. The fish burrito is the best one as its freshly prepared read more

The burritos are decently sized for the price. It's about as good of tex-mex as one will find in Waterloo...

Overall, very good. Lost a star due a "modest" price increase in early April. The increase for my usual burrito is about 14%. If someone told burrito boys that they'd lose 14% profit, would that still be considered "modest"? Meh. Anyway, I still consider it decent value, and it's always tasty, although the hot sauce had gotten milder. What used to be good at 2 drops is now good at 5. Ymmv. Wait times have grown longer, too. read more

I'm young... But the music is always too loud. Every time we go in the music is blaring - and the servers are unable to hear. We have tried to call in our orders to avoid line up and have been hung up on twice. The food is great. But turn down the tunes to provide better service. read more

Awesome, fresh quality ... except the last few times I've been. I usually get naked burritos and it seems that they've cut the amount of rice/bean paste they put in drastically. Very disappointing. as well when I order sweet potatoes, the amount I'm given is always changing. I'll probably start going across the street to Fat Bastard, their naked burritos are superb. read more

Delicious food, good prices. Open very late on weekends. Decided to try this place recently. I initially questioned the prices as they seem steep for a single burrito. After seeing the wrap and portion sizes, I can understand why. I ordered a large steak and was very satisfied. They're enormous and are just packed with meat and toppings. Can get extra cheese at no cost if you don't plan on getting guac. Great quality and great taste. So as for cost versus portion size, 5/5. I was not satisfied with half of the employees however. We walked in for our first time, it was empty. Some of the employees were cleaning. We decided what we wanted, and waited for about 4 minutes before anyone said a word to us. When I finally initiated, an employee said "he'll take your order over there." I look to the fellow and he says just one second (while he continues cleaning--which he certainly could have done after taking our order). I believe cleaning to be a secondary duty, whereas customers are addressed promptly. $20 for two burritos, you'd expect to feel welcome and acknowledged. I watched one employee carelessly spray cleaner on the counter, which ended up misting on several of the toppings. I was hopeful it was vinegar but it certainly looked sudsy and smelled like cleaner. A female employee witnessed it and her face read disgust, but she didn't say or do anything. She acknowledged we saw, and again, did nothing. Luckily, she served us from the other side which wasn't contaminated, but because it was late I felt like had I complained, it would have been met with attitude or dismissal. One other issue I had is the burritos weren't heated thoroughly enough. I'd imagine they should be heated until the cheese has melted. We waited 10-15 minutes while they were prepped and grilled, but it clearly wasn't enough. Regarding cleanliness, service, attention to detail and attitude, 3/5. Obviously you can't hold every employee accountable, I'm sure at least 2 of the 4 employees take their job seriously and understand food safety. Unfortunately, food safety/contamination only requires one bad link in the chain to result in customer illness or simply disgust. All in all, I think I will return. I think I'd rather try a different location, though..or perhaps visit during the day. I did enjoy the food but am hopeful for some more caring and less reckless employees. I'm looking forward to trying their other burritos, and am hoping for consistency among portions. I'd recommend the chain, but not the location (at least during the evening/night). read more

compared to the locations in missisauga and toronto, the waterloo Burriot Boyz was not up to par, maybe because its so new, it just seemed a lot less tasty then other locations. read more

I ordered a regular and large chicken burrito. Could not finish the burrito. The chicken was chalky, maybe been cooking too long. There was minimal difference in size. Finally customer service was poor. I could hardly hear the order taker. Won't be going back. read more

Always amazing. I have a gluten allergy and I've never been "glutened" there. Drove through a snow storm just to get a burrito, definitely worth it read more

Good for a quick bite. Organized service. Need to upgrade ambiance.

The Burrito's are big and heavy, but not a culinary experience by any stretch. They're okay, but there are a lot of better burrito's elsewhere. (Big Fat burrito in Toronto is Delicious) read more
