This place is excellent. My favorite burrito is the pork rojo. It's the best burrito- New Mexican style similar to carne adovada

Dinner: We sat in the beautiful downstairs dining room and had the Brussels sprouts salad and sea bass with a yummy Riesling wine. It was all DELICIOUS! Brunch: We opted for a more relaxed brunch with friends on their upstairs outdoor covered patio. We were so excited to have the same server from the night before because she rocks & now I'm bummed that we can't recall her name. But everyone loved their food. I got the Country Benny & my husband got the Benny Madame. We also shared a caraffe of cranberry mimosas. So so so good! In the words of a sweet southern sister worth following, Cherie Hicks Leone, "Y'all try this!"

A beautifully laid out two story restaurant. The ambience is elegant, but not pretentious. It was an amazing combination of layer flavors that layered together wonderfully. The ribeye was perfectly cooked and tender, the bison was the juiciest we've ever had in our life. We finished off with the bread pudding (I can never say no to bread pudding.) it was very tasty and although I don't like coconut flakes, they did not distract me from the flavor profile or deter me from eating it completely.

While visiting Amarillo, I wanted to try a few local coffee shops while working remotely. Located…read morenear the Medi Park area was Strata Coffee Bar, a catch all spot that functions as a coffee shop, bar, and brunch location. When I walked in, the place was absolutely packed with TTUHSC or TTU Vet Med students who were celebrating finishing their final classes for the year. It was quite busy with a large line in front of me, and since I was staying for a while, I was not in a rush. I ordered a lavender latte, and after waiting just over 15 minutes behind the gaggle of people who ordered before me, my hot beverage was ready. I really liked the cup they served it in. It had a cute mountain gradient with their logo on top. The coffee itself was pretty good. It was not anything groundbreaking, but I enjoyed it for what it was. Having to briefly hop on a call with my boss, I went out to their small outdoor patio and took the call. It was also a pretty decent spot for getting some work done. They serve a ton of different options, and it is probably a popular stop for people in the surrounding medical district to get a quick coffee boost. There were also plenty of people drinking beers and mimosas when I came in, celebrating their semester coming to a close at 9:30 in the morning, so good for them. You love a catch all spot. About 9am, I walked in to the ordering desk and needed a minute to view the menu, as I had never…read moreeaten there before, the lady was seemingly irritated with needing to give me time to find something to order. Once order was placed, I filled my cup with unsweet tea and it was soured. For the sake of pure awareness, I let the lady know about the finding and she further tasted it but didn't find it unpleasant. Mind you, I have ran a restaurant on my own and have worked in the restaurant industry since high school.... I know what bad tea tastes like. I make a new drink choice and move on, not the end of the world with 15 other drink choices available!! Once my food arrived and I'm half way through eating, she proceeds to come to the table in a very offensive manner asking "Well would you like me to make you new tea? What do you want me to do?" At this point, I was shocked at how she approached me and did not have much response other than "It's alright, I got something else to drink, thank you." So I finished the meal, go to top off with lemonade before leaving, and the manager/owner hurries over and says "No, No! That is not lemonade, just the concentrate!" In my mind I think to myself "umm, sorry Sir, I didn't know that. I thought that the "Hours of Operation 8am-10pm" on the door meant that this place was fully functioning and in service within the hours that you have posted. The entire time I was in this restaurant, the workers were refilling and setting up for the day..... the place was not to par within their "Hours of Operation." Will never return!!!!!

But here again it's great for those that don't want to socialize I suppose. The order out was super busy (door dash, Uber eats orders) the employees were hustlin. All and all a nice blast from the past. Food was fair for a taco and queso; a solid Torchy's situation.
