This has been my opticians since... forever. Both my parents are short sighted and my dad picks up his prescription here after years and years of being a customer.
When I was younger a trip to the opticians was always a lot more exciting than going to the doctors or heaven forbid - the dentist. I used to quite enjoy reading the letters on the board and my eyesight was always pretty good so I never needed to get glasses or anything, even though I often wondered how I would look sporting a pair of specs. They have a huge range here and I often longed to try them all on, but I wasn't allowed to paw at all the expensive frames as my mother would have given me a stern telling off. I always remember Mr Burnside being very friendly and I even got a sticker after my eye visits.
I haven't been to get my eyes tested in a while, but I will definitely need to make an appointment as soon as possible as I've noticed my eyesight taking a sharp decline. Things that have made me notice this is the fact that I need to squint to see things, I can barely read subtitles and I've been talking to my lampshade in the far corner of my room thinking it's my mum. Only kidding about the last one but if I leave it any longer I'm worried I'll end up like Mr Magoo. read more
