I popped along to this Specsavers recently as I've been having a bit of a problem with my eyes - while my last eye test was only a year ago, some recent sensitivity saw me needing to pop in and get things checked out.
Thankfully this Specsavers is part of a North Lanarkshire initiative to provide a minor injuries service for eye issues which is nice to have. After filling in a triage form an appointment was set for my peepers to get...well, peeped at.
I was seen nice and quickly by a friendly gentleman who took some basic details, the nice snazzy picture of my eye, and checked my current prescription before the optometrist had a look at what was going on. 5 minutes later I was popping out with a prescription for my dr to get some medicated eye drops.
I had thought previously opticians could prescribe - so having to wait 2 days for my doctor to fill the prescription is a tiny inconvenience, but not the end of the world. Apart from that it was a fairly run of the mill visit.
Since I wear glasses all the time I pop in here quite a lot - and although it's a small branch, they still have a lot of glasses in store so it's worth a visit if you want to avoid heading into Glasgow. read more
