I mostly just use this Specsavers because it's close to where I live, but they have good opening…read morehours (including Sundays) and they open until 7pm on Thursdays which is handy if you can't do appointments during work hours. The staff are friendly, the opticians will chat through your test results with you if (like me) you start asking questions about the photos of the inside of your eyes and they don't seem to do the hard sell too much. Last time I was in, my distance prescription had increased slightly but not much, and they were quite happy when I said I'd hold onto my existing glasses for another two years. Never had any bother here, would definitely recommend them.

The prices, shipping and frames were okay, but the frames I purchased didn't work out. I shipped…read morethem back with tracking and they were received by Framed Indulgence. However, they didn't credit my account and now won't return my emails regarding the credit I should receive for the returned frames. Not cool, as I'm out $145 (plus the $36 it cost to ship them back to the UK with tracking). UPDATE: With a few bad social media reviews and a nudge from the credit card company, they ultimately did credit the return. I've upgraded to two stars, but in the end, it was still a difficult transaction because of their unresponsiveness to the original emails, including the one they ignored where I originally asked for a return authorization number. They do seem very nice, though, so it may be a much different experience when you go to their storefront...they may just be very disorganized for online shopping.
