I reached out, and Zack and Ryan were very quick to give a quote (super reasonable) and they were flexible with their availability with my strange schedule limitations! Overall, I will be looking to book this company again if I need to move again! First off, I was able to schedule over a week in advance easily with these guys. I had some scheduling conflicts for the Friday afternoon they could work me into their schedule, and after telling them this, they said they could do the move at 9 am that day if it worked for my schedule (which it did!). They also ended up getting to my house 15 minutes EARLY which was so helpful and better for them with the weather (it was 100 degrees forecasted for later in the day!). Even with the weather, these guys were super patient and so friendly. They really exceeded my expectations because I've heard some horror stories about movers--not these guys, they are AMAZING. They moved all my things from a first floor apartment to a third floor apartment (with no elevator--I'm so sorry!) with no issues. Everything was in the same shape as when the stuff left my other apartment. We ran into one snaffu (not any fault of theirs but mine!) when my couch couldn't fit up the stairway--they helped me move the couch back to my old apartment so that I could figure out what to do with it! They said I qualified for a free in person estimate and could have them come out the following Friday. The estimate went smoothly and the gentleman left and said he would email the estimate to us and we could secure it with a deposit through their portal and the info would be in the email. The email I did receive had the estimate for 5 movers for 6 hours but no portal access or way to secure it so I immediately called that same day and waited on hold for an hour before they told me they would have someone from the local office call me. No one called and because of the holiday weekend no one was in the office until the following Tuesday. I called first thing Tuesday morning and they again said someone from the local office would call me. No one did. I waited on hold for another hour and explained everything again and they put me on hold while they contacted the owner Matt directly. When they came back they said they were sorry and something had fallen through and they wouldn't be able to help me with the move anymore. This leaves me with an immediate upcoming move and scrambling to find help. This whole process could have been handled way better and this company was a referral from someone else. I DO NOT recommend them to anyone.

I explained that my move was relatively small and, based on my experience, could have been completed by two movers in approximately three hours. Instead, I was repeatedly pressured to hire additional movers for an estimated 11 hours, which seemed completely unreasonable for the scope of the job. The most frustrating part was when I requested to cancel. Ashley talked over me, ignored my request, and became increasingly aggressive during the conversation. I was told that because they had my request form, they would determine how the move would proceed, which made me very uncomfortable as a potential customer. Thankfully, I had not provided any credit card information directly to this company. I contacted HireAHelper.com, and they ultimately helped me avoid doing business with Friends Moving and Delivery. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this company proceed with caution. The level of customer service, communication, and pressure tactics I encountered were enough for me to take my business elsewhere.
