So there office hours are 7-3 which makes it difficult to call them because normal people work during that time... You have to call to change anything with your service. So you are finally able to call during that time and no one is there to answer! You leave a message like the recording asks... you guessed it no one call you back! So terrible customer service. All this on top of the trash guys leaving most of the trash in your trash can and when they do take all of your trash they leave the can in the middle of your driveway so you can't get in it. My two-year-old boy was playing with a ball when it unfortunately rolled down the street. The TEDS Trash employees noticed this and grabbed the ball on their way down the cul-de-sac. Was really looking forward to switching to them from Republic services as we have been having issues with Republic. Checked our their website for rates on trash and recycling and corresponded with their staff via email regarding switching over both services. I canceled my Republic service first at their recommendation then headed to their office to setup service. When I got there I was told I can start trash service but new recycling pick up is not available right now, I found that odd because neither their website nor our email conversations mentioned this. They did offer to put me on a wait list, but when I inquired about the likely wait I was told not anytime soon as they have no intent to add more recycling trucks and the wait list is already very long. Luckily I was able to reverse my cancelation with Republic. Excellent job pushing away the business of those trying to reduce the waste going to landfills. read more

Hired Ted's for a 30 yd roll-off dumpster to clean out a rental house that a hoarder had left. Brought the dumpster on time, picked it back up as expected, placed it exactly where I had asked, and the pricing was exactly spot on. Will hire again! I'd like to note that they list very clearly in the rules that there are limitations on what can be put in the dumpster, and that it can't be sticking out, otherwise there are additional fees that could be incurred...I think that is an issue that another reviewer probably encountered when they didn't read the rules! read more

We have been a Ted's Trash customer since 1998. We have never had a problem with our trash being picked up or any billing issues. Their pricing is very fair and straight forward. We also have found that they have really good roll off dumpster pricing and we have utilized that service a couple of times in the past. This is by far the worst company and customer service you will come across. Last week our trash that was IN THE TRASH CANS did not get picked up. We called to try and find a resolution to the problem, and spoke with the most rude woman in customer service I have ever talked to. She tried shifting the blame to us multiple times, when all we were trying to do was figure out why it wasn't picked up, and to make sure the extra trash got picked up since now we have TWO weeks of trash. They also picked up a piece of furniture that was nowhere near our trash that was already sold to someone on Facebook marketplace, and the woman in customer service basically told us that was impossible because they only pick up stuff like that when it's scheduled. So now your customers are liars, and it's our fault you can't do your job? They are the cheapest trash company in Independence, and believe me...you get what you pay for. Terrible service. They do not pick up trash. They have willy-nilly excuses for not doing it. If you want to pay for service and not have them perform it, these people are the ones. Horrible customer service. Since we have moved to Raytown, in a few short months, several times they have neglected to pick up the trash. Yet again this week. It is a 96-gallon container, but don't put more than one 13-quart garbage bag in it.
