It was pretty delightful & the staff were super friendly and interacting with the animals. The CC was started 20 years ago with Al the Alligator! He was dropped off at the Vet clinic and they started CC all around him. Pretty awesome. It's not a massive space so it was perfect to get there at 3:30pm - in time for the 4pm show which is followed by an Al the Alligator feeding! We checked out all the habitats on the outside as well. Super cool experience - I'd love to come back for one of their turtle yoga, 18+ paint nights, etc. They always have pretty cool themed programming. There is a lot of green everywhere and soo many different flowers (especially the peonies before they were vandalized)!! We parked in the back where it is about a 15-20 min walk to the peonies. It was a nice and mostly shaded walk. We even saw a new bird (Great Crested Flycatcher)! I think it's only worth coming for the peonies but otherwise, it's free (unless you park in the front and then you have to pay).

We stopped by the visitor center and got a guide to the different types of peonies. They also had a restroom which was nice. We took the 2.7 Nichols Walking Trail and really enjoyed the nature, wildlife, scenic city overlooks, and the Huron river views. I would say it's a medium level of hard given that most of the path is easy walking but some steeper inclines and steps that get your heart rate working. It was incredibly pleasant, we spent a little over 90 mins exploring. Also, we learned there is free parking in the Blue M28 lot on the weekends and were able to utilize it! Looked like dogs were welcome, met some friendly pups. Saw people having a picnic in the park and a cute little free library! Such a wonderful place, really glad we came!

The building is huge and they had tons of classes and items to paint separately. There were quite a few people signed up for the class and they had a few teachers helping out. We were given an overview and an example of what we needed to do and we were off. The class included one of our creations to be glazed and colored. It was such a fun class and the 2.5 hours went very quick! Awesome thing to do and super fun!

Located in the Emagine Theater strip mall on Michigan Ave. a couple of miles East of downtown Saline, it sports 4 of the latest simulators. I love that these simulators tee up your ball automatically...the only simulator that I've found in the area that does so. X-Golf also has a full bar and some bar snacks available although we usually walk right next door and snag some outstanding sushi from Biwako Sushi. We have always found the staff here to be extremely helpful in setting up the simulators to your choice from around 25 of the most storied courses in North America along with selected courses in Japan and Korea. I also noticed that X-Golf pipes in some great tunes on their house sound system as background music...Nothing like a solid 7-iron to the rhythm of a little 1989's Free Fallin' by Tom Petty. 4-stars.

They won't rent tubes/canoes to go past the cascades if the river level is too high or if the current is too fast. They sell dry bags and phone bags at the desk as well which I totally recommend! Was happy to have my tevas on as well. The only thing I wish I had during our trip was a paddle for the end. We tubed from Argo to Gallup and there is no current at the end. The water was also kind of dirty looking due to the recent thunderstorms. So much fun though!! Recommend buying rope to tie tubes together while on the river!

Required for check in and the mask for the shuttle ride. On hot days it's not a bad idea to bring a water bottle and hat. There is also a nice multi-use path after you are done.

It is also so important to point out that the environment the center has created is so welcoming and relaxing! They have a designated place where guests can sit and enjoy their time. Came here this afternoon in need of some kitten therapy and it didn't disappoint! They had one…read moreadult cat and I believe 18 or so kittens. The kittens were sweet and playful, and for the most part people were respectful, although I did see one grown woman who kept handling cats that clearly did not want to be picked up. They have coffee, snacks, and soft drinks for a recommended donation of $1 per item which was a nice convenience, and plenty of tables, although the main "play" area was pretty crowded. Its $6 for a half hour or $10 for an hour and you can make reservations online beforehand or take your chances that they'll have room for you day of. They give you a buzzer programmed to go off after your time is up which felt a little unnecessary...seems like they could easily just go honors system and just accept that worst case scenario people might stay a couple minutes over. In some ways I wish they had more of a mix of older cats and young kittens because it was NOT a calming environment, with that being said I had a good time hangin with some kitties.
