Anchored Cafe and Deli is off to a great start! They have a small menu with a variety of…read moresandwiches, along with pastries and the typical coffee shop beverages. The sandwiches are made to order and the plans are to add more to the menu in the very near future. All pastries and bagels are baked by the owner and there are gluten-free options (scones, muffins), too. Very few (if any) local restaurants have GF items on hand and this is one of them! The vibe here is laid back yet welcoming. They have multiple tables and chairs set up for work or enjoying your purchases. There is a small private room for meetings which can be reserved on a first-come basis by talking to a barista to get on their calendar. I ordered an iced chai latte (perfectly made) and a chicken salad sandwich. The chicken salad didn't have any usual fillers, yet was flavorful, and was enhanced by a beautiful tomato slice and fresh lettuce. Included in the lunchbox were slaw and to my delight - potato salad, which was probably the best I've ever had in a commercial establishment. They should sell it by the pound, it's THAT good. Anchored Cafe has a drive-through for ordering beverages and staff told me they plan to utilize online ordering soon with pickup through that window, too. Follow them on Facebook for updates. Hours are 6am-2pm (or thereabouts) but are usually open later while they are baking goodies for the next day. If you see people there, stop by! They are located in the corner unit at the strip of stores where the Minuteman Gas station is - across from CVS.

So, you have to order and take what you get or ask the prices of each and every single thing?? I asked for a menu and he said they don't print them? How do people order or get catering? DELICIOUS WERE: the cinnamon roll, nutter butter cookie, and the cream puff, which were all outstanding!! $20.76 bill a little pricey.

The bagel was just ok. I spoke to a friend, since perhaps it was a one off paltry amount, but they had the same experience- where the egg was hardly visible in the sandwich. Limited hours: 6:00 AM- 2:00 PM. Caring staff makes sure your order is prepared in a timely manner! Popular spot for the locals there tends to always be a line. Many customers order ahead and carry out. That's when you know it's a great place! They're proud of their New York style of bagels and unique creations & daily bakery delights. We saw a BBQ sauce blended bagel & so many more combinations of different blends. The sandwiches look delicious, as well as their cream cheese fillings. We wanted to get one but, we were meeting family for lunch in Myrtle Beach. Yet, we had to get some baked treats. Ordered the peach strudel, apple crumb strudel & butter cookie with apricot filling. The peach strudel was a little too sweet, the apple strudel was absolutely amazing and that butter cookie was literally the best thing ever! It wasn't the hard cookie crunch most are made. It was a soft, delicate light pillow of perfection. I could have ate a few more and refrained from taking a bag "to go" LOL Note- Many other local finds from jams to spreads. Can make great gifts. *They have on-site parking. *Specials on day old goods and daily discounted prices if anything is left over from a few days before. Highly recommend this adorable little store.

It gets busy here but they move through the line fast, you may just wait a little for your order. We loved grabbing ours and heading down to the dock, but there's plenty of indoor (and outdoor!) tables. This is a must try! I'd gladly drive over the state line for these bad boys.
