After passing this place grocery shopping we decided to stop in for some of Pete's Sweets. While their ice cream is not homemade, it's Hershey brand, they have many flavor options to choose from. I picked the chocolate Moose Tracks, as opposed to the regular Moose Tracks option they offer and it was delicious! Pete's Sweets has various hard candy, salt water taffy, and fudge. We picked up some dark chocolate, Carmel, with sea salt and it was phenomenal. The peanut-butter and chocolate was amazing too! They even have a deal that you get a half a pound free for every pound you buy. Which is awesome but dangerous. Service was friendly and quick too! They also even have a small area inside to eat your ice cream. Definitely recommend if you're in the area! read more

Another great little spot just over the causeway from OIB. We were a group of 5, and some of us tried their homemade fudge and others went for ice cream selections. Gotta say, their Cappuccino Crunch ice cream in a waffle cone was pretty delish! For the fudge options, they had Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel (oh my that was good!), Cookies and Cream, Vanilla, Rocky Road, Chocolate, Butter Pecan, and a Peanut Butter Swirl. They were offering a free 1/2 lb of fudge for every pound purchased, so we had a sampling of every variety. We were on sugar overload, but I should mention they have some unique candy offerings as well. Sweets for every palate! read more

Went there twice on our week-long vacation this year. New place, and we loved it. The ice cream has great flavor, it's so creamy and delicious. I got the praline pecan both times it was so good. My Mom got cookies and cream the 1st time then chocolate chip cookie dough the 2nd, hers was excellent as well. Good value, good portions. Their homemade waffle cones were great. We sampled the homemade fudge but didn't buy any this time but the flavors we tried were very tasty! Stopped by with our group of 20 after dinner in Ocean Isle. They moved the group through quickly and we got to sit outside and enjoy the ice cream. I love this place! The ice cream is great, fresh and kept well frozen. The serving sizes are generous and the price reasonable. The servers are friendly. I love that they have Taffy Town brand salt water taffy for sale! It is the best salt water taffy I have ever had, very fresh and flavorful! The only things I would suggest are adding another table or two of indoor seating and adding Hot Fudge and Hot Caramel to the menu, versus just chocolate syrup. read more
