Store clean! ......HOWEVER THE GIRL BEHIND THE COUNTER (maroon or purple hair?) was too busy with her phone (looking at it not talking on it so I KNOW it was unimportant compared to customers and your livelihood). DID NOT EVEN LOOK UP ! We had to ask the price and stood after we bagged our candy up at the counter and waited but no offer of assistance. We left what we were going to buy and YOU left us with an aftertaste. May want to visit with your employees and bring back customer service before it's too late. They didn't deal with customers today like they did 90 years ago when your taffy machine was made and customer service was important. read more

Plenty of saltwater taffy flavors. My favorite was Beach Ball which was a fruit punch flavor. You can grab however many you want it get it weighed or buy a pre-bagged bunch for a set price. The taffy is soft but warms up quickly when eating. They also sell gourmet chocolates. read more

Had a great dinner and wanted something sweet for the ride home. Bad idea. Got some taffy and dark chocolate pecan turtles. The taffy has little flavor and the turtles...tasted like an industrial cleaning agent. They were awful, all 4 of us spit them out, they were that bad. read more

We thought this place was going to be so much dessert but left pretty disappointed. The people behind the counter didn't really acknowledge us or bothered to help us in any way and we actually came in to the store twice. We were really wanting some fudge and finally got someone's attention to try some and it was pretty disappointing. Out of the three flavors we tried we were really put off by all of them. They really didn't taste like anything. The machine that make the taffy is cool but I didn't like the packaging to the taffy. Since its not sealed or even closed tight all the way it felt like a sanitary hazard. I kept picking from the one at the bottom or the back because I was afraid too many dirty hands would've touched the ones on top leading to some sort of contamination. There are a number of other places at Broadway at the Beach that are much better and they are not getting the credit they deserve. This place is simply not worth it. read more

I type this with a delicious piece of Wee-R-Sweetz taffy melting in my mouth... Found this place while strolling through 'Broadway at the Beach' in Myrtle Beach, SC. While honestly, I found the place nondescript and overtly 'touristy', Wee-R-Sweetz made my afternoon. I have vivid memories of childhood trips to Atlantic City to get real salt water taffy, and watch the machines stretch and pull it, anticipation growing every second. Wee-R Sweetz brought all of that back... Authentic Taffy made on authentic machines, at a great price... YAY! read more

This place caught my attention because of the taffy machine spinning at the window. I love watching it being made. As you enter the shop, the person behind the area matching the taffy shouts at you and throws you a fresh sample. Yes, please! That was awesome. The shop has about 10 to 15 different flavors. The guy with the black hat was extremely rude! First off, we walked in and no one bothered to ask if we needed any help. Finally after having to approach the guy, I asked a non ignorant question. He gave me the rudest response as if I was supposed to know the answer. Buddy, you're working a customer service job where you need to be polite to people. I would have bought a lot more salt water taffy to bring back to my family and friends, but ended up buying the minimal. If I could do zero, I would do zero. I Purchased a bag of pumpkin spice popcorn. Two days later I opened the sealed popcorn and discovered it was very stale. I promptly returned to the store and was told they would not do a refund, return or exchange unless I had a paper receipt. I offered to pull up the purchase on my bank card to verify it, and was told they would only honor a paper receipt. My problem is that they sold me a poor quality product and refused to exchange it or refund. It's not even about the money, as the bag cost $4.99. Bad business practice to not stand behind your product, very bad. Will make sure all my friends are made aware of the bad business policy! read more

My husband and I bought a pound bag of wrapped salt water toffee. Horrible, tastes like poison. The first piece was orange, bitter and a very unusual taste. I tried a second thinking the first was a fluke. No, couldn't swallow it. They make the taffy fresh every day and you will usually get a piece of the freshly wrapped taffy thrown at you just as it is finished. They have several delicious flavors. Great place to get fresh taffy. It's very soft. Lots of flavors to choose from. You can bag your own variety of flavors of your choosing. Sold by weight, $9.99/lb (apx 60 pieces per pound).
