I was first attracted by "now open" sign from looking at the turning lane. I was gonna grab lunch. Ah, that's new. Let me check it out. Before I enter, I thought smoke shop was a dark and smelly place. Once I opened the door, my old imagery was all wiped out. Smokey Doke is modern and clean. Employee was really helpful and patient. I actually met the owner, Richie. He educated me the difference between CBD and Delta 8 aka THC. All these acronyms blew me off. These things are in the forms of gummy or tincture. Very easy to handle and consume. You know me, I'm adventurous. I tried both. And, yeah. Delta 8 is a little overwhelming for me. I need to be on vacation and out of touch first. (Means no Yelp or social media when I use it.) CBD or Hemp occupies only a small section of the store. They're building a cigar room at the adjacent corner. The rest of store is filled with smoke accessories and stuff I have not seen but known to other regular users. It's fantastic to learn this is not the only store in Houston. But when I walked in today for the first time I was taken back. It felt like the ultimate guys hangout spot. There a few guys relaxing in the leather chairs, smoking and watching tv. This was a short visit as it wasn't planned and I had to get back to the office. To be honest the only reason I walked in was because my coworker wanted to check if they had something in stock. We were greeted as we walked in. Asked if we needed help finding anything while we were browsing and was told to let them know if we had any questions. Then we were left alone but in a good way. No one was hovering over us, or trying to push us to buy certain ones. I could have spent some serious time and money in here as there was so many options. They also seemed to have something for everyone. From mild to strong and price points from high to low. I'm looking forward to coming back and actually hanging out and relaxing.

Ok, so let's bring this down to the basics. When you enter a smoke shop, you see some glass pieces, a down and depressed guy/girl who's life is in shambles because they've amounted to nothing, You see a depressing existence that you, a consumer, are being consumed by. -Well, with BURN smoke shop, they shatter all of those expectations. You've got Nick, a big boy badass mofo who is knowledgeable and genuinely cares for what he does. A man with principle and wakes up pissing excellence. He makes me wanna rip a bowl in his honor on a daily basis in sheer hope I can be vaguely like him. You are nothing till you buy one of his many beautiful pieces. So wake up, and do something with your pathetic life and buy something you can be proud of, from the one and only Nick at BURN. -Then you've got the gorgeous Amanda, the wet dreams you'll have about her aren't ONLY due to the fact that she's hotter than a devils fart in hell, but because of her extensive product knowledge too. She is happy to help with eyes that'll kill. Literally, kill prices that is. Ha, get your ass in to BURN today and see what an experience really is. Do something with your life.... read more

From the moment you walk in they give a warm and inviting atmosphere. You can come in and be clueless and they'll guide you towards your needs and wants. The customer service is attentive, and informative. I have a become a semi-regular customer, but will be in there more regularly just for the customer service and A-grade merchandise. The prices are reasonable, but of course for me is quality over anything. Nick knows his stuff, and always speaks from experience with any of the products, he doesn't make feel like a burden for asking questions. 5 stars for a well oiled machine of a smoke shop! :) read more

Been going to Burn since it opened and all the employees that work there know their stuff. Very convinient since i work close to burn and live next to zig zags. The only two smoke shops i ever go to. The only reason I'm giving them one star is because you can't give them zero. I went into this smoke shop last night only for them to refuse selling me the hookah hose that I wanted. It was like the person at the register couldn't listen effectively or something. I told him over 5 times which hookah hose I wanted and he still rang me up for the wrong one. After he handed me the one I specifically told him I DID NOT want (which was a measly temporary hookah hose that's disposable), I had to re-explain that was not the one I wanted. And do you know this person had the audacity to ask which one I wanted after he had already been told 5 times? He put his hand on the one I wanted and then still gave me the one he pretty much thought I should have. I promise it was almost like he was on drugs or something. I would never go back to the smoke shop as far as I'm concerned they owe me the money I paid for this object that I don't want. Then the other guy in the store insisted that he could go ahead and ring me up for the one I wanted... Well you should've did that in the first place sir.
