If you see a MILF in the Cherry Hill area, ask her if she goes to La Belle Fit. Chances are the…read moreanswer is yes. This place attracts the cream of the crop from the area. I had a Groupon and was very, very excited to try the Barre Ampped classes. I enjoyed the classes tremendously. Great workout although not as intense as I would have liked. (Of course, I had just finished months of straight Pilates and running so I was in pretty good shape.) I've only done the TRX and Barre classes here but they also have Zumba, pilates, yoga, etc. A few comments-yes, some of the instructors vary in quality and teaching style which stinks because these classes are expensive and for what you're paying, you should be able to get consistency. This is normal for gyms though bc you will like some teaching styles better. It is also pricey which deters me from going more often. They run specials frequently on their website which helps with the cost i.e. a barre class will be $13 instead of $20.

I was looking to add some variation and liked that there were different classes available versus…read morejust barre. I purchased a bundle of classes during their summer sale promo. Which was not a bad deal 10 classes for $55. I tried registering online for the beach body glutes class and was unable to. I sent an email and after not hearing back at the end of the following business day I gave them a call. The beach body glutes class is a part of the barre series. So it would use up 2 of my classes versus one ok! So they were able to add me to the class. Upon entering I checked in with the front desk and being my first time I did not know where to go. I stood there is silence thinking they were not finished checking me in. I then noticed they were and explained I was new so I did not know where I was suppose to go. The women at the front desk then directed me to the studio. Can't they see in their system that I am new? Customers should be treated with more respect. On the upside, Donna was amazing and friendly. She noticed I was new and introduced herself. Throughout the class she remained engaged and so energetic. I could barely keep up and I wasn't the one working out and instructing a class! It was really a great workout with the use of a rebounder, skateboard, free weights and many other items. Unfortunately, this class interferes with yoga so i have not been back. Next, I tried spin & core with Brandi. She is also so pleasant and makes you work so hard. This class consists of 45 minutes of spin and then 15 minutes of core workouts on the mat, with weights, and the use of other equipment. She changes it up from week to week which is very nice. However, recently I noticed that this class is not available and had not been replaced on Sundays which is when I like to spin. This was what made it miss the 4 star mark in my eyes.

Let me start by saying Bristol and his wife Kenyatta have changed my life. I was at a point in my…read morelife where I had gained an unhealthy 50 pounds, every fad diet I tried was no longer working for me and I couldn't motivate myself to get through tougher workouts. I found them on Yelp and was directed to there website where I was able to fill out a form to request more info. Bristol contacted me right away and we scheduled my free in-person consultation for the next day. When we met at the gym, he showed me around, walked me through his fitness/nutrition plans and then had me complete a functional movement screening test to gauge my fitness level. Because I liked the vibe of the gym, I signed up for a 3 month, 3x a week 30-minute 1-1 training program that came with customized bi-weekly meal plans (really great, easy recipes btw). In October, my first month, following the meal plan and working out with Kenyatta 3x a week I lost 12.04 pounds and 9 inches around my body! In November I lost 10 pounds and 8 inches around body. In December, my last month of the program, I lost 9 pounds and 7 inches around body. It still shocks me how month after month, even through Thanksgiving and Christmas "off days", I still saw such a huge transformation in the way I look but most importantly the way I feel about myself. I still workout 3x a week with Kenyatta because I love there programs so much; it has been 6 months in total at BBB and I still see my body transforming every week. I'm stronger, I no longer run out of breath going up the stairs, i'm down pant/dress and generic sizes in clothes. Grateful is an understatement! I also want to mention bc of Covid-19 concerns, BBB launched online workouts using Zoom Video so there are no excuses to delay your fitness goals. If you are ready to put in the work and change your life - they'll get you to where you need to be!

But honestly, it's not an issue - the space is so welcoming and comfortable. I love that they offer a free week of classes - such a great way to get a feel for the studio without any pressure. I went to one class and absolutely loved it. The instructor was fantastic, really motivating and attentive. It felt like she was focused on making sure everyone was getting the most out of their practice, which is something I really appreciated. Another great perk: they have props available to borrow! It's always a nice touch when a studio makes sure you have everything you need to enhance your practice. I only wish I could have gone to more classes!

There was little to no attention to the individuals, she just stood at the front of the room the entire time doing the poses with us which made it feel somewhat impersonal. The space was also too small for the amount of people that showed up, so it felt a bit claustrophobic. Following my free trial, I also sent out MULTIPLE emails to her regarding the membership fee I was charged. I was not please with the service due to the above reasons so I did not wish to be charged for something I will not be returning to, but she never responded to my emails. (She had been very responsive to my previous emails prior to enrolling in the free trial). It just left me feeling like she was trying to get money regardless of my experience with the studio.

My only issue is I really can't make out 70% of what the instructor is saying. I find it so hard to discern if she is talking to the people on the floor or the people on the treadmills, let alone what she is actually saying... but I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer so take that with a grain of salt. I just kind of look over at what my girlfriend is doing, and do +1 speed or just go straight by feel. I love the mix of weights and cardio, and there is nothing like pushing yourself on a treadmill to see your top speed. There is something so freeing in making the mental decision of "I'm either going to hit this speed or I'm going to hit the floor in front of this whole class. No in between." You can also order a smoothie to be ready right when you finish class, which is such an elite touch. Having my Slutty PB smoothie waiting for me after I just left my soul in the Barry's Red Room is what life is all about. Remember earlier when I said I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer? Well I just want to clarify something: I am sharp...and I am in the drawer. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

Obviously, when the instructor gets there - he goes over it with you too. The first class I attended had a lower body focus, and we did running, step ups, single leg things, squats, running, jumps .... It was no joke, and a good workout. The second class I attended was seriously killer. It was apparently cardio day, and boy did we run. We ran to the penn track area and did a ton of running, sprints, etc. He made it sort of competitive, but in a way that didn't make people feel bad. The "break" between sprinting was running up and down stairs with your hands over your head. (Doesn't sound hard, you say? You try being exhausted from sprinting and then do it. You can get back to me.) I will definitely be going back to early morning classes in the fall and spring (I am a teacher and don't so 6ams in summer. And winter is too cold for me.) They meet rain or shine (or snow?) so be sure to check them out. One thing I wish they had was a better website! But they are on classpass!

*OUTDOOR BOOTCAMP REVIEW* (2400 Walnut under the bridge)…read more Ughhhh Nate, I hate you. But I love you. These classes are legit brutal and you feel like dying the whole time. Because there are no weights, you're using body weight the whole time which is infinitely harder. Each class has a focus (upper body, cardio, lower body) 6am or 7pm. Class size approx 5-10 people , 75/25 women/men. The workouts are different than anything I normally do at the gym/other studios, again because it's all body weight. He varies it up every class and every so often so you're not bored. And most likely you're dying anyways so you can't really be bored while dying right? Be prepared to rough it! You're going to be doing pushups on the gravel so gloves help. You're going to be doing ab work on the muddy grass, so don't come with fancy clothes. And you're sweating the whole time! Nate is tough, but also super nice. I love that he compliments you when deserved so you feel so much better. He does some competition stuff, which also pushes you to want to beat the others in class, but in a friendly way. I took Nate for 2 months in the summer via a Groupon (btw very worth the $) and got a ton of comments from friends on how I looked more tone and stuff! So glad they're on Classpass!

The sessions with Justin vary every time, so I'm not doing the same exercises every visit. Even week to week, it's never the same. I left the room and I didn't realize he switched my weights to 20's until I put them away. Mind over matter. Justin also listens and remembers your limitations. They have added spin and zumba classes ($10 each), in addition to their Saturday group workout session (a bargain at $5). I hope to get to spin soon. I also like their new app to book your session, pay, check in, etc. There is a little lounge area, vending machines and a kids room on site as well. Everyone seems friendly and when you keep seeing the same faces, it becomes easier to come in and feel comfortable. You even have your fellow gym goers as commiserate as you do your workout :-)

Shedding the pandemic pounds isn't easy, so I'm glad the instructors here do an amazing job at masking the calorie-burning exercises in the disguise of dance routines. I'm a fan of hip-hop choreography and both of these fine instructors are great at creating fresh routines to match with the good beats. Aside from hip-hop, Zumba classes here are also great.
