I found out about TF via Groupon. I had always wanted to try a boot camp, so I gave it a go. I look forward to working with her every day. Like a lot of the other reviews mention; I don't even feel like I've been there an hour; it goes by so fast! But the workouts are intense and are set up in a way that I always feel motivated to push myself. (More than I ever have before) I am happy to report that I am signing up for a year membership; as well as their 6 week body transformation that starts in a couple of weeks. (Nutrition based). If you haven't found a gym or program that works for you, I urge you to try TF for a month!

I first learned about Torched on Facebook. I was hesitant to get started but bit the bullet and…read moresigned up for a boot camp. WOW. I have belonged to several gyms over the years and they don't hold a candle to Torched. I went to 24 Hour Fitness for the hours but it didn't stick. I tried Club Fitness for the price but it was really intimidating and I wound up feeling lost and out of place the whole time. I gave up on gym life for a while but eventually was lured to Planet Fitness by their promise of a no judgement zone. Sure, I never felt judged but it also never felt like a gym. It was too easy to talk myself into biking for ten minutes then getting a massage. Eventually I wound up using it pretty much just for the tanning. So fast forward to the beginning of 2018 and I'm the heaviest I've ever been, looking at a rigorous work/school schedule, and trying to have a baby with my husband. I needed a change. So I signed up for Torched and had a sit down with Jeremy, the head dude. We talked about my goals and about where I had failed - nix that - where my gyms had failed me before. I bought his sales pitch and decided to try out the 6 week boot camp because, worst case scenario, it's only six weeks, right? DUDE. I was a little nervous the first day because I've never done this sort of pseudo-cross-fit-circuit-training type of thing before. The trainer, Daniel, was a star, though, and walked me through it step by step. The second day was easier, then the third, until suddenly I realize I'm three weeks in and I'm LOVING IT. I go at 5am and see pretty much the same people every week. I feel like I'm making friends - I look forward to seeing them and working out with a great group of people keeps me motivated to keep pushing forward when I'm tired and want to stop. Everyone I've met has been friendly and kind and motivated to work hard and do better. The trainer in the morning, Emily, is brilliant. I pulled a muscle and hurt my knee (not at the gym!) during the boot camp and she was right there with me during my workouts to make sure that I was taking care of my injuries while still getting the most out of my time. Well, sadly I didn't finish the boot camp, but for good reason. The last week I found out I'm pregnant! I sat down with Jeremy again and we talked it all through. He's super supportive and is dedicated to making sure that I can still have a safe, effective workout throughout my pregnancy. I signed up for a whole year! Never in my life did I ever think that *I* would love going to the gym (mostly because video games are amazing and pizza is like crack). I guess it took finding the right gym.

While I was extremely happy with my new arrival, I wanted to get back to my healthier self as soon as possible. And, I knew I couldn't do it on my own. Just a few months later I found a fun, motivating way to start that journey - the New Year, New You Transformation contest at Pursuit Fitness. It was exactly what I needed. Fun, high energy group workouts, an easy to follow meal plan and prizes... you can never go wrong with prizes! While I didn't win the trip to Hawaii (I came in third) by the time the contest was over I was wearing my favorite jeans again. The competition was awesome, but I wanted to keep the momentum going so I decided to become a regular member of the gym. I love that every time I go to the gym there is a challenging, full body workout just waiting to kick my butt. Ryan, Adam and Sarah are always there encouraging me, ensuring good form and pushing me to push myself. The other members help motivate me and make working out enjoyable and fun. I have even convinced my husband to join the gym, so now we challenge each other. I did the wheelbarrows WITH the push-ups, did you =)? I am now just over half way through the Back to School Transformation Contest and seeing great results again (did I mention I like prizes?). My goal for the contest is to get back to my wedding day weight. I have never felt healthier or more confident than I did on my wedding day. I have 5 more pounds to go to hit my goal. My goal after the contest is to continue getting stronger and leaner so that come next summer I am comfortable and confident in my pre-baby bikini. As long as I follow the plan and work my butt off during my workouts I know I will succeed.

As an OTF regular, I find the extra square footage makes a massive difference in workout quality. The coaches and staff are consistently welcoming. Parking is generous and allows for a quick in and out. While the studio is less crowded than others, which can mean fewer time slots on the schedule, the lack of congestion is a major benefit. I highly recommend this location for anyone who prefers a less cramped environment and a professional atmosphere. The workouts change daily but always provide a balanced, full-body focus. I appreciate that the programming stays fresh while ensuring no muscle group is overlooked. Even with the variety, the structure remains consistent enough to track personal progress over time. Plus I do enjoy the challenges and benchmarks to keep things interesting.

This is our favorite, other locations can feel crowded as equipment is close together but this one doesn't. We also love our trainers here. For us only complaint is no classed after 5pm on certain days so we have to go to another studio those days but understand it won't fit all. Orange Theory has really helped me to increase my fitness over the last few years. I love that's its full body with both cardio and strength so you get a holistic workout. Workouts are tough but intensity can easily be adjusted by personal fitness.
