    Burlington store in Pico Rivera- entrance and exit are the same. Doors to the right of the photo are disabled for use.

    Yesterday, I went to Burlington store looking for an item to place underneath my rug for stability at a good price. However, as I am walking towards the store the sliding doors are only accessible on one side. I had encountered this before but thought maybe it's a door that needs servicing so I ignored it. I found what I was looking for, cashier didn't seem happy to be at work and sighed while scanning each item and placing my bag. As I head to exit I have to go through an employee who has it taped to walk through, so I asked her, is there a reason why the other doors are not working, she said they are closed for " customer service " I said, but I think its dangerous, what if there is an emergency? She just looked at me and shrugged her shoulders without saying anything.

    Lots of nice things. Very clean and waiting on line was quick. Love that's it's down the street to home.

    I love this new burlington, its always clean, always has nice merchandise. Will never shop at the whittier burlington ever again .

Okay here is some observations while shopping, saw a guy in a blue sweatshirt with his phone with a stop watch Timing each persons going through the doors near the butter area. Micro managing? Witnessing team leads being pushy and degrading to some workers because they aren't satisfied with what they see? This is not proper managing don't degrade or say things in front of customers we use to call this being on stage. It's the holidays and perfection insensitive is not needed. Customers are going to mess things up all you can do is Patchwork and make it look the best The new vest don't reflect the manor of the Team Leads if not on a phone they are huddled talking for a half Hour or more. I take my time when I shop. As for the coaches some are a little critical, get rid of the smug Face when a customer says hello. The workers that are shoppers with the carts they look so unhappy I understand they Are under a time crunch but you can't even ask them a question it's like they are told to ignore the customers? They why Where the vest I like to help? Most cashiers are friendly I have to say. But I have scan and go. Last weekend my wife and I were shopping and we know some Of the employees since we are loyal customers since it first opened and when it re opened due to unforeseen situation I won't Disclose. When we were talking to employees we knew a Hispanic employee can to our register and she hovered over our Basket with her phone. I don't know what her issues was we scanned all our items. And we were paying on line. She made me feel like we were being monitored for theft, WTH. Don't make customers feel that way.. I pay for the Walmart plus service. It's a service that I like very much. But to be micro checking is not a customer service. Yes I understand there are some who abuse this privilege but if your going to micro monitor all customers in the plus area Then stop the plus application, who's going to want to have this if you're going to be hovered over every time you shop? To note, the best department is fresh food and bakery the Team lead and his employees under him are great customers service Attentive and always friendly. Always hairnet on great job to the Team lead running this area If I didn't think this was a decent Walmart I would be going to Santa Fe Springs Walmart. The reason I am posting this is To the current Store manager and Coaches or also known as assistant manager customer service is job number one! Make your employees feel wanted, compliment their work don't micro manage and degrade, Training is key. Yes customers can be entitled and rude, but teaching to be friendly regardless keeps customers coming back. Something my former company used to follow by but now Walmart is better then they are but still needs this; The employees, stockers, warehouse personal, cashiers are the core of the establishment Team Leads and management are The teachers and guides in the end customer service shines. Stockers and those who are on pallet jacks from the warehouse personal.= 8 Employees shoppers = 7 Cashiers = 8 Walmart plus monitors = 5 Team leads = 4 Fresh food and bakery = 8 Overall store = 7

    We needed something we saw online, and we were in the area. "DOLLAR TREE!!!! Pull over now!!!!" So…read morehe did. This dollar three had one cashier, Jessie (at first), and he had about 6 people in line (when we walked in). We rush to find our double insulation clear cups with no logos (which they had 6 of, and we bought 4). By the time we made our way up front from quickly browsing through the store. Which was super clean, well stocked, and organized. This is actually one of the cleanest Dollar Tree stores I have seen. Joshua had opened up another register, and there was only one person ahead of us in each line. GREAT TEAM WORK JOSHUA AND JESSIE!!!! And your customer service was A+++. The Mr. used the restroom (which Jessie walked him to), and he said it was really clean. And I found a different flavored Kit Kat (chocolate frosted donut). Which we will be trying for the first time. I'm excited. Joshua checked us out and was very personable. Jessie even complemented the Mr's outfit. The guys customer was very welcoming and top notch and we will be coming back to this Dollar Tree when we are back in the area.

I overheard the employee ask if the store will be taking applications. the manager said yes and they will be start the hiring process soon. she then said "If they're Asian, I don't bother." When I asked again, she looked at me with attitude and said, "I already did." I then asked for her name, and she replied, "I don't feel the need to tell you my name." I pointed out that her name tag was visible and explained that when a customer asks, she should respond politely. I requested to speak with a manager, but it took a long time for anyone to come. While waiting, I asked to take my items since I had already paid. Eventually, the manager, named Edith, arrived. She asked me to explain my concern in front of her staff, but I didn't think that was appropriate and asked if she could excuse Teresita first. When I explained the situation, instead of addressing the concern professionally, the manager defended her staff, saying she was "just doing her job." At that point, I realized the manager was not handling the issue properly. I mentioned that I was in a hurry and needed to go, and as I walked away, she raised her voice and said, "You don't need to cut me off when I'm talking to you." Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. Both the staff and the manager showed poor customer service and failed to resolve the issue. The store also had long lines, which made the experience even more frustrating. :((
