At this particular location in Humble, Tx, every time I come to this Burlington there's always a line and NEVER seem to have enough cashiers. "I made an oath to myself to never come back". I haven't been this pissed in a while. This morning I went to Burlington after dropping my granddaughter to school. I shopped and stood in line probably 30 minutes and the young lady was through checking my items and I looked over between the two registers and picked up some butter cookies. Laughing,,,, I told the lady that I needed these cookies like I needed a hole in the head...we laughed and I finished checking out and left. Couple hours later I was ready to sit down and eat some cookies. Had my Chocolate Milk sitting here and I opened the container and the white cover paper had black oily prints on it. I'm realizing now that I didn't remove any kind of protective wrap that you usually find on Any items these days. There had been none. I had found a little strip of scotch tape towards the top of the container.... As bad as I hate leaving the house, I got my receipt and went back and stood in another 20 minutes line and happened to get the Same lady that checked me out. Laughing,, I said... I told you I didn't need these cookies. She asked what was wrong and I told her and I even opened the container so she could see what I'd seen,,, and she said " We don't take opened food back. My first response was "You Sold it !!! So she called her supervisor who said pretty much the same things. I told her "SOMEBODY " gonna take it !! Off she goes to ask a manager (who never showed her face) and said...." I'm going to take it back THIS TIME and I stopped her right there and said YOU tell HER that she's not doing ME Nooo favor. So she returned it to my card and I already had examined another container and put it on the counter ,,so she said "You want to exchange it " ??? I said YEAH !!! I wanted the cookies and she finished checking me out and I told her again... You make sure you tell your manager that she's NOT doing ME any favors. That's crazy,,, the fact that they will "Sell " damaged goods,, and Expect YOU to use it... but By no means are you to return it. Stick to selling clothes and leave the Food items "behind" Walmart's and Kroger. My advice to customers is IF you buy some of those "last minute items " that you pass by while standing in line, please examine it Carefully. It's there because it makes you make a "last minute " decision without checking it out. This World is SAD these days...Everyone is trying to make a quick buck. But NOT at MY expense. read more

Ok...holiday season(check).....long lines(bring patience)...bad attitude(unprofessional)..not good. Just needed to dash in to get a few athletic workout clothes and some knicks and knacks, but got more than a bargain. I can deal with long lines, which is understandable being this time of year, but in a customer service environment attitudes need to be left at the door before you address consumers. Waiting in a line of about 20 people I see only two cashiers at the front register. One of the cashiers is steadily trying to take care of customers as quickly as possible while the other cashier helps one customer then pretends like she is sorting a basket full of clothes, then helps one customer..repeat cycle. At this point, I am like really, do you not see this long line of customers and you are sorting a basket full of clothes at the front register. Patience in check, but after 20 minutes I am like this is ridiculous so my sidekick steps out of line to try and find a manager. Well, first go around she just found another store employee and explained the situation and asked if another register could be opened. Said employee gingerly walks to the cashier(K K) and pulls her to the side for a chat. I can only deduce that she was informed of our dissatisfaction with the service, at which point she exclaims, "Girl, I don't care about these people." The other employee quickly put distance between herself and the cashier walking away with haste. I look around and some of the other consumers had expressions on their faces in disbelief, some with giggles! After hearing this unprofessional exclamation, my sidekick went to find a manager. After a few minutes, two more employees rush to the register and started assisting customers. I bought the clothes because I was already in the process of checking out, but I returned my purchase at a different Burlington the next day!!! On an additional note, the conversation between the employees could also be heard on their walkie-talkies with no earpieces. If Burlington could not have enough employees to cover the register maybe they could have a couple of employees come in a couple of hours before closing and work strictly on reorganizing clothes/restocking items not purchased. read more

I don't remember if I left a review or not but it's been so long since I've visited this particular Burlington anyway the reason for this review is because I can understand short handed but when you got a line of people almost wrapped around the store it shouldn't be just one cashier. It need to be all hands on deck not people in the back ground hanging up clothes and then when you ask a question about whether the store manager is there you get told they have left for the day, something's not right about that. In order to keep customers they have to be satisfied and I am not, I'm just saying. Y'all didn't deserve that one star should have added a space for zero. read more

I have to admit--Jordy H makes a great point. The clothes can be a little dated at times.I laughed a little too when she said that "it almost looks like a big garage sale" because yeah it kind of does! Clothes are stacked and stuffed EVERYWHERE. You have to be on a mission to do some fishin to find clothes at BCF! There are some nice and inexpensive finds if you dig long enough, but then who has the energy to try on what you find? If you do, then you might find the dressing room unattended on and off, which makes it a challenge to find and open room that isn't trashed--in the sense of someone leaving clothes all over the dressing room and not taking them out. If you do find something at BCF, I usually only wear it once or twice. It's not a recyclable garment that becomes a staple in your wardrobe unless you find a name brand item discounted down real cheap. On the other hand, you may find something that you like and is wearable, but the price is inflated. All in all, a great place to bargain shop, but don't be surprised if you do not find anything and walk out with nothing. read more

I have called and complained on so many Burlingtons due to the lack of service. This one was about the same...until one day. I went to check out and saw long lines and only 3 cashiers, thinking to myself oh jeez, shocker here. But what was a total shock was when i saw the store manager walking up and immediately started calling for all cashiers AND baggers to assist! She immediately started helping getting the lines flowing and with a great big smile! Charlotte, store manager, has made me enjoy this visit! And has also ensured I will definitely come back to her store, and I will! Finally, a manager there that has some sense and understands customer service. My hope is restored! read more

I dropped in recently to get some shoes for my toddler. Apparently these guys have a major theft problem because every pair of toddler shoes had a big old theft device attached to it. All the shoes were quite expensive for a discount retailer too (average $20-25 for a pair of toddler shoes?) We also couldn't really try the shoes on properly because of the anti theft device. Call me crazy, but that kind of bothered me and soured me on shopping here in the future. read more

I love this store. They have great prices on clothes and a decent selection. Also have a lot of knick knacks in home decor and a good selection of bedding. Yesterday I was looking for hardware to hang frames -- they sell frames and art, so I figured they must have the hardware. Didn't have any luck finding it and no employees around to ask. When I got to the register, the manager on duty, Heather, was chatting on her headset with employees. She asked me if I found everything I needed. I mentioned the frame hanging hardware. She told me she thought they had some "back there," waving generally toward the rear of the store. Didn't offer to find anything or have an employee help. Why bother asking me if I found what I'm looking for if you're not going to bother to help? Disappointed in the service. The men's shirt collection is a disaster area -- doesn't look like any employees bother to organize shirts that are left out of place by customers. read more

Love this location. It has lots of stuff compared to the one in greenspoint. I went to the gym last week and I had a tshirt which wasn't a good thing for yoga since when we did the head stand my shirt went from my waist line to my neck line real quick. So I went here just browsing and I found a cute workout top and hopefully it won't run down my stomach. It's also light weight so it's good while sweating. Also they have a lot of stuff on the walls. Don't get stuck looking at the racks alone. They have a huge clearance area and it's filled with stuff. I love this place. It's a bit of a drive since there are lots of lights on 1960 so be prepared to stop every mile or two for a red light. There's traffic too due to lots of construction because of new businesses coming up and mall. read more

I witnessed one of the employees, i think it was the manager, her name was Stephanie yelling at two employees and they were almost in tears. A fellow customer asked her to treat her employees like adults and stop yelling, surely it wasn't that bad, and she yelled at the woman and told her to mind her business. I really enjoy checking out what little treasures or everyday items I can find at Burlington's prices. This particular store has a good variety of items and the workers were working to keep things straight on the selves during my visit. I will say that the shoe department was a hot mess. Sizes were wherever, I don't even know why they have size signs. So I ended up spending a lot of time, unsuccessful time at that, in the shoe dept. The home decor items are always fun to scout out and I was happy to find a trendy vase to go in living room this visit, thanks Burlington's! read more

The customer service sucks. I ordered some items online that didn't fit and brought them in to return them, they couldn't find my card information and were very rude about it. I do not plan to shop here again anytime soon. read more
