Let's be real, I don't come to Burlingtons for the service, it's for the value. They usually have great prices on name brand products, shoes, toys, purses, etc. I think the home goods area is just more excess, but I saw some sheet sets for $12-$16. This particular visit was that I saw a Barbie scooter at the Clovis Burlington but did not get it, and decided I wanted to get it for my daughter to keep at her grandparents house. Today I just happened to be in the a Blackstone area, so I went in to grab the scooter. Imagine my surprise, when I walked in and could not enter the store with the entrance roped off, I started to ask if they were open yet, and the vested security guard ignored my question and gave a schpeal about needing everyone to stop before entry to improve shopping and security and I must wait. A few seconds later he let me through and then closed off the ropes again. I then watched this happen again and again as people came into the store. I guess I get it, it just threw me off. But I went and grabbed the scooter and a couple other sale Christmas items and went to stand behind the gentleman being rung up by the cashier. Then my friend the security guard came right up to me and pointed to a sign a bit of a way back and said " there's the line, please stand behind that sign and she'll be with you shortly." There was no one in "that" line and the sign was small and only one sided, so hard to think people will intuitively know what to do if they have never been there before, but the good thing is, my friend the security guard will let them know for sure. The gal who rung me up was actually very sweet, and so I mentioned not coming for the service, but I didn't have a bad interaction. Burlington is what it is. Can't fault them for being in a crime ridden area in a crime ridden Fresno. lol read more

When I have been to the store all the associates are very friendly. I can understand the disaray but again it's the shoppers that make it. So a good idea is if you see something on the floor pick it up and put it on the shelf easy as that! That's what I do I even take time to put clothes on a hanger and I don't work there. read more

My thoughts yesterday: It was an absolute mess when I stopped in early in the evening on a week night. Displays in disarray, stuff just piled on the shelves, if not on the floor. Clothing on the floor. Messy racks. No visible employees picking stuff up or tidying the areas. The second floor is closed now. The few remaining baby items they carry are at the back of the first floor. The home section is in the back corner. A long line to check out, maybe they were having staffing issues. I love shopping for bargains at B, but just the appearance was a bit much for me. My thoughts the next morning: I decided to stop back in to see if what I saw yesterday is the new norm, or if shopping early in the day made a difference. There were still a few clothing items on the floor under the racks, but much better than yesterday. There were about the same amount of shoppers, so time of day doesn't seem to make a difference. Shelves were still messy and carpets were still dirty and stained. I did take the time to wander around the store and discovered there are still a lot of bargains to be found there. I saw some cute acrylic glasses that might match the dishes I bought for our beach themed guest house we're working on. There was a good selection of faux plants that looked nice. Lots of workout pants. I'll stop back in from time to time, as this location is closest to my home, but with two other choices now for Burlington in the area, I'll probably visit the locations at The Marketplace at El Paseo (Riverside, near Herndon 99) or the Clovis store more frequently. All in all, I changed my rating from one star yesterday to three today, as there are still fun finds here, you just have to dig for them. read more

Me and my family came here to shop as they were visiting for a while and wanted to get them some items during their stay. I will never return to this specific Burlington ever again. Always so dirty inside when I come here and this time they had 3 or 4 security guards in the front of the doors who were so disrespectful! Worst Burlington ever . Shopped . Had a basket full of stuff . There was a long line at check out at least 25 people, the line was already there so I got into the end of it . About 5 minutes later an employee said we all needed to move the line to the other side so everyone lost their place in the line that had already started . Low stock on everything said up to 50% off and the only things 50% off were shoes everything else was 25% off so we only save about .75- 4$ on each item. Cashier had the price screen flipped to where only she could see it so I asked can we also she the prices and she gave an attitude. Very rude lady bad customer service. read more

I stopped in for work pants and found a pair of jeans marked and tagged with a security pin for $7.99 so I grabbed them up as well. I went to the register and they scanned for $12.99. Mgr Yesenia came and said that because sometimes people change tags that she couldn't sell them to me at that price and that because she doesn't have a tag I can have them for $13.49. Almost double the price and mind you they were no name jeans. I was only buying them because they were marked at a low price. I explained that because one of their employees tagged this price on these jeans with a security tag that surely they should take some accountability and honor the price on the jeans. She responded we're not Walmart and we don't price match! Clearly she doesn't know what price matching is. And was very disrespectful. I'm from Southern California and the Burlington stores were very clean and the staff was friendly. Completely different experience here. Will never return. I'd rather shop online. read more

First of all, I like Burlington's clothes and prices. However, this location is completely unorganized with bad customer service. The Clovis and Marketplace at El Paseo locations deserve 5 stars, but I feel this one deserves 3. They all have the same products and great prices. Upstairs in the home department though, there is almost no organization and the shelves are falling apart. There are shoes all over the floor in the shoe department at this location. Also, the customer service here is almost non-existant. They do not have the one line setup like the others, and they never have more than 2 out of 12 registers open. I have a continuous problem with this store where they block off access to the handicap/family changing room. I've mentioned it to multiple people including a supervisor and the supervisors response was " well they can come and ask if they need it open". To me, that's not equal access. A disabled person shouldn't have to go and ask for their designated changing area to be open when non-disabled people don't. The side that has the handicap room also has regular rooms so there is no reason why they can't leave that side open and close the other side. It's disturbing to find that their employees don't care about ALL their customers, only the ones who aren't disabled. read more

They have such a variety of everything here. I like the variety of footwear and purses. Sometimes the purses can be a bit pricey but there have been times where I find another one similar to the pricey one I wanted initially that has $20 knocked off of it. Burlington Coat Factory is a hit and miss for me and my siginificant other. He is always able to find what he needs, and I never find what I need. He found a delightful Michael Kors suit for his graduation celebrations for a fantastic price (we have gotten our money's worth out of this suit, it is fantastic!) If you need a coat, definitely check Burlington. If you need a suit or ties, definitely check out Burlington. Sadly, the men's department is way more promising than women's department. Be cautious ordering online thinking you can return to one of their stores so I wouldn't have to pay the shipping cost to return if it didn't work out. I placed an order for a coat for my daughter and paid with paypal. The coat came without any paperwork and was too big. Not a problem, I thought we'll take it to a store and exchange it. But, I had to try three times before they finally gave me a store credit when I produced my order shipping confirmation and paypal statement. The first two times they insisted that I needed the credit card that I purchased the coat with. Really? Also, I would have gladly exchanged the coat but they had a very limited selection. Imagine almost no coats in January at Burlington COAT Factory! I got the store credit and my daughter found a nice coat at the new Clovis store. Worst Burlington ever!! Implementing their own policies. Borderline discriminatory. After 2 terrible experiences I will never shop here again!!!! The first time it was a rude cashier who tried to tell me she could not look my item up on my debit card and proceeded to rudely hand me back my items before I asked for a manager who later found my item on my card and was able to complete my transaction. Tonight I had a cashier tell me I had to put a minimum of $50 down on my layaway which came up to $170. When I asked was their policy different from all other Burlington's that require a 20% deposit on all layaways I was given some lame excuse about $50 being the minimum. After some back and forth I requested to speak with the manager. She immediately came over and began to back her employee. I explained to her I had never heard of the things she was stating and that my receipt clearly started a deposit of $34.99 was due. I asked her to void the layaway so I could purchase my items and vowed to never return to the poorly ran and managed store again!!! read more

I like to shop at the Burlington coat factorys in other cities. The ones in Fresno are difficult to deal with. The Blackstone location is dark, dingy, messy, and unfriendly. The bathrooms stay gross and staff are not typically courteous. Good deals only go so far. They do have good deals and nice selections but when it's trashy who wants to shop? That's why I don't go to DDs. The location on Herndon is better but very small baby depot selection and horrible maternity selection. read more

The last time I was there I couldn't even move my baby's stroller cz of all the mess on the floor (by mess I meant all their products) but boy did they clean up. Good job new manager!!!!!!!!
