This is not the Burlington Coat Factory I remember when I was younger. And they may have had a similar add campaign years ago but it's true. I have been looking for a new coat and passed by Burlington. I thought I should stop in and check here to see what they have. A totally spontaneous addition to the days adventures. What I didn't find, a large selection of coats. They had maybe a couple racks of men's jackets/coats (in this massive store) and a lot of the same brands with little selection. It could be the time of the year, not sure since first time in here. What I did find, cologne and perfumes, shoes, pillows, mirrors, clothing (men's, women's & children), home accessories and decor, toys, and holiday items on clearance. Personal thoughts, when I described my visit to some folks I said it is somewhere between a thrift store and a TJ Maxx, not quite a Kohl's. It's a lot of everything with a nice variety. The shoe prices really stood out to me, but was looking for a coat and was a bit overwhelmed by all the "stuff" everywhere. I didn't find anything this visit, no associates were around to help or ask questions, and I would say it was just an OK visit. I am curious to see what the store and inventory looks like a little more past the holidays. It seemed like a neat place to explore when I have more time so I will head back when I have some time. read more

This is one of those places whose namesake has little to do with what it sells. It's only one small part of what they do. Burlington Coat Factory was a big disappointment when a coat was what I needed. Let the irony of that soak in for a minute. The store sells all kinds of clothes, purses, shoes, fragrances, and even housewares like most in every mall and strip mall. There's nothing special really, just a regular clothing and accessories type store. There aren't very many coats in there at all. When I go to a store that's named after a product, I expect it to be a place that specializes in that. I go there because I want to go to the specialists, the ones who have the most variety and knowledge of what I'm looking for. I wouldn't want to go to a place called Marvelous Meats or something like that and then go in to find it's just a grocery store with one little meat case. That's what happened when I needed a Fall jacket and went to Burlington Coat Factory. That is really irritating and to me that makes it a less respectable and credible store. One noteworthy thing I did notice inside is that it has a big and tall section, which is hard to find. It's a very disappointing big and tall section; it has shirts and that's it. On the other hand, there were some really nice and very affordable shirts in big sizes. That's extremely rare. Fat guys usually pay a premium for those extra inches of cloth. The store had sizes at least up to 5X that I saw and there may have been bigger ones; I don't know. But that's also impressive. I used to be a 6X/7X (now I'm a 3X/4X) and I know all too well how hard it is to find shirts that big. There are two places to get them: King Size Direct and DXL. They're both expensive and DXL is extremely over priced. So for Burlington Coat Factory to have them and at the same low price everyone else pays is a big deal to some people. The store itself was a big, wide open space and it was clean and nice. It was a pleasant enough experience. All in all, the store is nice and does seem to have a lot of nice clothes at fair prices and even has some Big and Tall stuff but very little in the way of actual coats. That's a major down side because not only is it false advertising but it's a big inconvenience to someone who went out of their way to go to a coat store because they needed a coat. read more

My review is 3.5 stars. I spent my last full day in Dublin, which is a suburb of Columbus. It has a cute downtown area and a bunch of box stores scattered away from this historical area. I wanted a Burlington and found this one. It still has the old Burlington Coat Factory signage outside, but it's branded the new way inside. The store didn't have as much stuff that excited me as the Burlington in Erie, PA. Still, it offered cool stuff. I was pleased to get a Pop Socket at a decent price. It was cute with avocados, so I got it. I also got a pancake spatula for $3. You can't go wrong with that. Yes, I love pancakes that warrants getting a larger spatula. There were more novelty items here, from fox purses, to elephant baskets. I was helped by a nice young man at the cashout area. He asked for my phone number, so I gave it to him. He figured out that I wasn't from the area. I told him that I was from the greater Toronto area, which made him smile brightly and we chatted some more. He liked that I drove all the way down to see a concert. I got my items in a bag. We wished each other a great day and I headed to my car. One thing that was annoying was pulling into the parking lot and seeing a ton of shopping carts taking up parking spaces. The parking spot that I had wanted had a cart. I temporarily parked my car, moved the cart, and then pulled into the spot. When I left the store with my purchase, I saw a minivan wanting to pull into two different spots and had the same issue with carts occupying them. I pointed to one of the spots, moved the cart, and he thanked me by pulling in. When I got to my car and his family got out of their minivan, both the man and woman said thanks to me. It was nice. Based on the reviews I was a little hesitant to come here, but I actually had a good time. I came to get Sweetie's dad a Father's Day gift. I was given a fairly specific set of requirements (and I sent pictures of the things I thought would work.) I found plenty of things that worked, and there is a lot of stuff here: shirts, pants, etc., plus trinkets, food (in the checkout aisle,) etc. I ended up getting him a shirt, and myself some shorts. There were lots of options in each size and category. Prices are reasonable, though not crazy cheap. Service was very friendly, and they kept the line moving. The store is huge, and clean. I have a bit of a like/hate relationship with this store. Pros: A big store with a big selection, good place for some gifts, you can find some great items if you want to put some time into looking Cons: Some of the selections aren't great, very small juniors section. Other sections of the store are very messy and unorganized. The cashier was very rude last time I was in. He was literally texting while I waited for him to be done so he could check me out?!? All in all, take a gamble if you have some free time on your hands but beware of the not so great aspects of shopping here. read more

Came here looking for a winter jacket and was actually surprised at the variety in store. Lots and lots to choose from with different styles. My only dislike was the cashiers were sooo slow and had no sense of urgency at all. The cashiers took their time while the line grew longer and longer. Cashiers were too busy conversating with each other rather than focusing on the customer first. Also, some of the aisles were messy with clothes and shoes on the floor, which I didn't understand bcuz there were tons of associates on the floor putting clothes out on the racks. Yesterday I went to an associate and asked her about the layaway policy and she respectfully told me she wasn't fully sure about it and pointed me to an associate would know. I went and the other associate and she told me I pay 10% down and I have 30 days to pay off the rest. Today I went and got some items to put on layaway and the associate asked if I've done layaway there before. I said no but a lady explained to me yesterday that I pay 10% down and I have 30 days to pay off the rest. She gave me this blank stare. I thought it was because of a language barrier. There were also 2 other associates right next to her. I repeated 2 more times 10% down and 30 days. She then said yes that's correct. She rung up the items and gave me my total. I told her that total was not 10%. She then said no it's not, you have to pay 20% down. I tried to keep my cool and pay the 20%, but I thoroughly let it be known that I was told 10% down from the lady yesterday and I voiced it to you 3 times in front of 2 other associates and nobody cared to tell me it was actually 20%. That is a total of 4 associates who need to get their shit together or one day they're gonna misinform the wrong person and it will get real bad! read more

They advertise that they close at 10:00pm and I arrived at 9:40. The sign and website clearly stated open until 10:00pm however when I walked in they yelled at us saying they were closed and came over and locked the door. When I worked at a store we were not allowed to lock the doors until the actual closing time but they were clearly just being lazy. read more

HOLY CRAP. I used to love coming here... Sure, you had to pilfer through some disorganization or mess to find the good stuff, but there was always good stuff to find if you had the time and patience to look hard enough. NOW... I just left the store after not being able to walk down the fourth aisle in a row due to so much merchandise being all over the ground.not an employee in site, and screaming kids everywhere that seem to be parentless. Its been forever since I've been in a Burlington Coat Factory store!! Seriously!! I was on a mission to find a winter coat - yes, this late in the winter too. My previous coat had gotten a tear in the arm and then ended up getting grease and antifreeze on it from work. (Long story). Didnt want to have to wrestle with it so I went to BCF. When I walked in I didnt want to try on a miliion and one coats. I tried on a couple of coats and finally decided on a London Fog coat. Nice. Oooh, the price was even nicer!! I stopped by on the recommendation of a family member. This is a giant discount store with quite the variety of merchandise. Like other discount stores, visiting Burlington is like going on a treasure hunt. It's good to have some time on your hands for browsing. There are a wide variety of sections, including ladies, mens, children and babies, shoes, toys, and more. As one might expect, the success of one's visit depends strongly on what you find. But it's worth more than one visit to see what new stock comes in to go through! read more

Wahoo!!! Cheap prices, great name brands, nice clean store...what's not to love? I come here to buy my kids school uniform pants & some of my older sons school clothes. They also have a very nice selection of "fancier" dresses for girls. Most of their prices are the cheapest I can find (and I shop a lot!). My kids are constantly using their restroom. Other than the people shopping NOT FLUSHING THE TOILET they are almost always clean and smell good. Almost every associate has been very nice. I will say their was a lady that worked in the toy department that would get mad if my kids even touched the toys and would tell them to put them back, until I had a word with her and informed her I would make sure they put the toys back before we left and she needed to calm down. Seriously, why have toys if you don't want anyone to touch them? I would recommend this store if you are into saving money. The only item I would not recommend coming here for, as far as clothing, is shoes. Their shoe selection sucks. No Jordans and no Nike and def no KD's. read more

All I can say is, past experiences have not been this bad. I would avoid this location on the weekends. They do not have the staff or the time to support the volume of people coming in. RIP grey down, mid-length, fitted, furry-hooded Miss Sixty coat of yore from BCF :( Welcome to my life, passable-for-now, brown, slightly shorter length, down, Calvin Klein furry-hooded coat of today. :/ Either way, I'm warm again. When it was clear that the zipper (repaired recently at Cottage of Tailoring - but to no avail, and to no fault of said Cottage) really wasn't going to hold up on my favourite three-year-old, loved-to-death Miss Sixty coat from BCF, it was time to head back to the factory to pick out another jacket. (BIG ALLIGATOR TEARS) Now, I seriously dislike shopping. And, I can't even begin to describe how much I dislike trying things on. But, Burlington Coat Factory makes this experience fairly tolerable in that all the coats are generally in the correctly marked place according to size, and there is generally a great selection in all sizes. It actually took me under half an hour to find a new coat today, and I had three finalists to choose from (I was bracing myself to leave, crying, with no coat - yeah, yeah, I'm a fatalist when it comes to shopping). And, considering that I'm a hard-to-fit Apple Bottoms/Baby Phat type of girl (you get the idea), the fact that I had a selection to choose from was just fantastic. I ended up with a cute Calvin Klein coat that is good quality for the price (under $100), which hopefully will last me another three years (I woulda bought the Baby Phat one but I felt a little poser-ish with all that bling... yeah?). I can definitely justify the price range BCF offers, for the amount of time I kept my last coat and hope to keep this new one. Although I will mourn my Miss Sixty coat til my dying day. *sob* PS: My review of Cottage of Tailoring still stands. They said they could replace my zipper for $40, but I wasn't willing to chance it breaking again, so opted to borrow the extra money from my mother for a new coat. I will probably end up getting my beloved other coat re-zippered at Cottage when I can afford it in the future and still definitely recommend their service. read more

Don't go to BCF with a specific need in mind, the sheer amount of stuff will drive your crazy. I love BCF for their jewelry section and plus size work clothes. For me it is always important to have nice professional work clothes that do not break the bank. There is a great section of flattering sheath dresses and on trend cheap jewelry. I would not spend too much time in the shoe, bag or junior plus section - the quality is not worth the month. read more

The prices here are fabulous but the shopping experience doesn't add up. To find anything specific one needs to dedicate time and focus. If youre not after anything in particular this place is perfect. I do recommend trying on all garments because a lot of them run smaller and larger. I think they should just label all their clothes "irregular" honestly. I am proud that the shoe section has been a little revamped and become more organized but when half of Somalia is in the store don't count on that kind of condition. It's kind of like a big thrift store but it's all brand new! You have to look for awhile to find anything good, but when you do it makes your day!! I got a great CK dress here last year that I love, and it was only $30 or something around that. The purse selection is interesting. Most of it sucks, but there is a lot so eventually I usually find something that I like. That's pretty much the whole store though. This place has a ton of stuff, home decor, bedding, bath linens, clothing for the whole family, shoes, watches, it goes on. Def a place to stop by when you're shopping in the sawmill area. read more

If I could rate this crappy store a zero I would!!! I used to work at this store when it opened and it was soooo nice. Clean and a great place to come to work every day. Awesome displays, everything organized. I went in last week to pick up a new wallet, it should have been a very quick trip in and out. It took me 40 mins to find one thing and get through the disaster of a line! I was in absolute shock at how disgusting it was. I literally had to search through a giant pile on the floor to find what I wanted. On the floor!! And I'm pretty sure someone peed somewhere close to where I was because it smelled awful! Then I waited in line forever because cashiers were just walking away. Who does that? Walks away to take a sizer off the hanger like a friggin snail! So when it was my turn my cashier looked at me and walked away!! Are you kidding me? So I politely as I could muster told him I was in a hurry and my husband was in the car waiting for me. I kid you not he checked me out like the sloth off that new movie zootopia!!! Then he tried to get my number from me in case I wanted to return it?! I had to reach over the counter and physically snatch my change from him. I left the receipt, there is absolutely no way in hell I'll ever go back to that store!!! As a white girl in a predominantly foreign store I was treated like garbage. You suck Burlington coat factory!!!!!!!! I'm so fucking mad and horrified at the state of this store. It's a great store, the prices are low and you can find pretty much everything for every style. I'm very picky about what clothes I buy and usually end up with buying 1 piece after trying 100 on, but I left this store with 2 full bags. The only thing I dislike that it's not well-organized, the clothes from new collections is often mixed with sale items and fitting rooms are not very comfortable. read more

This used to be a great store, but now it's horrendous. The last two times I've been there It's looked like a bomb went off inside. Clearly no one has straightened the merchandose in months. The sizes of everything are completely mixed up. The quality of the merchandose is deplorable. The worst thing is that there were actual piles of garbage on the floor throughout the store! I do continue to shop here occasionally, because the prices are great, IF you can find what you need, you can really get a bargain. However, the store is a hot mess. Surprisingly, (after all they are Burlington Coat Factory) the coat area in particular is in shambles. Even though they clearly have a designated place for every size category, the different sizes and types are mingled together, many on the completely wrong hanger. You will find the hanger marked small with a 2x coat, a 3x hanger with a medium coat, men's coats on the junior racks, and women's on men's, so allow plenty of time to hunt for an item that might fit you. Not good place to shop if you are in a hurry or short on patience. Located in the Dublin area, but feels like a failing store in a decaying neighborhood. read more
