John J. Sala Construction Corp. was hired to reconstruct and upgrade the home of a 90 year old…read morewidow. This project touched major parts of the house, including all interior walls, hardwood floor, siding, deck and roof. Every single part of this project was left incomplete or damaged when John and his son Jay abandoned the project in April 2019. We had several contracts with them, for example for a new air conditioning system, replacing the basement floor, etc. When the work was nearing completion, John came and demanded more money, and we set up a payment schedule for the remainder of our contract and paid him for some additional work, removing the hot water heating system covers in all the rooms, so they could be replaced. Following a partial payment for this action, the company damaged the heating system and abandoned the project. This was a major project in the 100,000 range, for which we had paid all but the last 3,000 or so. The company did not file permits correctly or complete most of the work. We do not recommend.

My house had tremendous water damage and an entire bathroom and part of the adjoining bedroom…read moreneeded to be gutted and re-built. It was made worse when a dangerous type of mold was found once we got down to the studs. Nurzia was AMAZING! From CJ helping me navigate the horrible and confusing world of my insurance company, to Rob PM'ing the job beyond every expectation, to the team going above and beyond anything I'd ever experienced before, Nurzia was there and they were on top of it. The only thing worse than renovating is repairing/restoration, and if I ever (hopefully not) have to do one of them again, I would be thrilled to have Nurzia take the helm. I really can't say enough good things about them. They were recommended to me as one of my insurer's top accredited contractors (a heavy bar to pass in any/all states), and I am so so happy to have worked with them.
