This bar is my favorite in Green Bay! The atmosphere, the menu and staff are all spot on! You will agree!

Walked over from our hotel after landing in Green Bay late. Only a couple girls working and some type of poker tournament going on, so we opted to sit at the bar. The bartender was friendly and took great care of us. The beer list seemed to be very out of date because the first 3 things we asked for were changed to something else apparently. We ordered food before the kitchen closed and it was average. We started with the cheese curds because we are from out of town and had to. They were tasty and large enough to share. I ordered the club and it was large, as expected. It was a basic club but I was starving and it did the job. Overall, friendly staff, decent beer once we figured out what they had, and average food. Typical bar that serves food and drinks with tons of TVs. This place is probably chaotic on game days. read more

I went there on a Tuesday night. The place wasn't busy at all. A couple of tables and maybe 8 people at the bar. The bartender was nice but had a hard time running the entire room. I'm not sure why there wasn't a second person working the restaurant. Finally after 15 minutes of waiting for her to come back and take my order I decide to leave. There are several other bars to get food at in the area and they all seem to be adequately staffed. I will not be returning. Sorry, service is a big part of running a good restaurant. read more

Bad food, bad service, crabby staff. I won't be going back there ever again! Avoid this place

This place is the perfect location and establishment for a good time. We were excited to give it a try. Unfortunately the vibe we got from the moment we walked in was this clearly is a no fun zone. Bartender was annoyed with us (group of 7 adults) from the moment we sat down. At one point, we just asked point blank what we did to upset her to which she responded "I'm just kidding." Little odd? Either way, we all left and agree we won't be back. Also overheard 2 women in the bathroom stating similar confusion as to why their bartender seemed upset with them. Hoping they address the staffing situation. No one will return to a place like this that makes you feel like you're annoying them by being there. read more

Stopped at Burkels for perch, which was good. The problem was we were swatting at fruit flit's the entire time we were there. Also saw people sitting at the bar also swatting the fruit flies. We mentioned it to the waitress and was told yes there is a fruit fly problem and didn't seem a bit concerned. Will not be going back as totally grossed out. The waitress also made the comment that all the restaurants are having a problem. We eat out a lot and have never come across this problem. read more

Came in on a Sunday night, no Packer game. Service was good, one bartender,/waitress/server for entire place which wasn't too many people. Ordered the BBQ burger- had onion rings on it, they were bad, the burger had absolutely no taste- like not even salt on it. My friend got the Juicy Lucy which is supposed to have "cheese oozing" out if the center. There was no cheese. The fries and tits were good. The drinks were good. We came at a recommendation of some Packer fans looking for some Poutine, all they needed to say was cheese curds and we were sold lol. This place is typically closed on Sundays but looks like they open it right after the game and they only have selected options available from their menu. Poutine was one of the things that was not available. This sports bar decor is pretty awesome, filled with so much memorabilia and plenty of it is signed too. Plenty of TV's to watch the afternoon games and they also have some pretty good tunes going on. The service was fine no complaints there since the place was completely packed, the girls were doing a great job keeping everyone with food and drinks. The problem here would be the grub lol. The chicken in the fajitas had absolutely no flavor to them, the onions and bell peppers were not grilled. I would say the food was a hot mess. Obviously people love coming here for some more drinking lol, hanging out, watching games and all the stuff on the wall, which I would too but you also need good food. read more

I didn't even know this was a place until the other night. We had our first experience here and it was pleasant. Overall the place itself is huge with a lot of seating. They had a bar area and a dinning area in the back. The waitress we had was awesome. She was super kind and helpful. She also came back several times to ask us how we were doing and refilled our drinks whenever they look empty. And the food was delicious. I ordered a chicken bacon ranch wrap with fries. My boyfriend got the boneless wings. Everything was really good. I will definitely be back. I would highly recommend checking this place out! You will not be disappointed! read more

A so called sport bar one block away from Lambeau Field. Ran out of Miller High life. No scotch other than J & B. Dozens of TV's and what do they have on? Jimmy Fallon!! . Followed by Late nite with some other low life comedian. I guess the manager never heard of the NFL Channel, ESPN, SEC or BIG TEN Channel. . No excuse to run out of any Miller Products in Wisconsin ever. It's not the first time they had a football game. read more

Burkel's is one of the handful of bars near Lambeau Field, across the street from Badger State Brewing. Because of that, it is a sports bar with lots of TVs and Packer memorabilia all over the walls. They have a stage area where I think they do one of the Packer radio shows. The space is very open, so it's a good spot to before a Packers game. The few times I've been here has mainly been for drinks. They have plenty of domestic beers, but does carry some WI craft beers. Downsides I've run into is their beer menu is not updated, so it takes a couple of times to choose something they do have. Also, some of the tapped beer tastes odd. Don't know if it's cleaning the taps or the beer is old. I'd rather get something from a can or bottle. Never ate a full meal, but some apps like cheese curds, fries, poutine. It gets the job done, but it's nothing I would rave about. It's a good back up option if you don't want to hit the other bars around Lambeau read more

I have no clue how this place doesn't have a 5 star overall rating! All the bartenders are absolutely amazing they are quick to get your order and always a smile to top it off. The manager, Emily, provides exceptional service and deals with customers professionally, Kevin the owner has always been a great man and has a good history of successful bar business. The atmosphere demonstrates the proven history of the Green Bay Packers with the memorabilia everywhere in the bar. The food fills you up and the daily and weekly specials are good priced. I would definitely recommend making this bar a daily watering hole for those in search of one and a place to go to for those game day travelers. read more

On Friday nights in Wisconsin because of familiarity people stand in line for sub par fish when Burkel's the hidden gem! Has the best baked cod and perch! Worst customer service I have ever experienced: First I don't typically write reviews but this had to be done. In town from GA for a packers game. Stoped In on Friday night at 9pm. Restaurant was ~20% full ( took pictures to show it). My wife and I ordered wings at 9:15 pm. At 10 pm wings still had not shown up. I asked a waitress how much longer and she went to the kitchen and comes back with an eta of 10min... she states a cook walked out and that caused delay. Well that's fine as long as the restaurant makes it right. 15 minutes later the food shows up...almost an hour after our order. The waitress asked if she could give us a free drink, I told her no, just take some of the wings off the tab ($12)...Fast forward to when we ask for the check from "Emily" ( not same waitress we spoke to...she had disappeared) ...I tell her they need to take one of the two wing orders off..she flat out refused since we ate them...I explain we sat there for an hour before getting them...she proceeds to explain that since we ate the food we have to pay...it's not her fault the kitchen was backed up...backed up???? You only had 30 people in the entire place...then she explains its more Uber eats than patrons in the restaurant... then it's the fact we didn't let her know we had an issue but instead let the waitress know. ( and turns out Emily is the manager) the excuses went on and on. Bottom line: poor excuse for customer service and will never go back. Stay Away PS: read the other reviews and see for yourself. A great place with really good food!! After I went once I found myself going once a week!!!

Stopped in on a Wednesday night for dinner. They had some good beer on tap so we ordered that and burgers. The burger was decent for the price only lack of a star because when I am asked how I want my burger done and I say medium it better be medium not well done. Why even ask if you are going to cook it how you want? Fries were piping hot and seasoned well. The bathrooms were clean and the bartender was nice. I was able to watch some of the US-Open while eating which I liked. read more

We had high hopes visiting this bar the day before a game and were more than disappointed. We were ok with the limited "game day" menu because of the NYE holiday but the nachos were inedible - stale chips, liquid cheese, something that looked like olives, and a number of pieces of chicken I could count on one hand for $15. The bartender was very nice and took it off the bill but the biggest thing is no free water. We both ordered drinks at the bar and were told if we wanted water we had to buy $2 bottles - no free water. What bar have you ever been to that doesn't give you free water with a purchase of an alcoholic drink? read more
