I usually have a problem with anesthesia not working and Michelle was very understanding and patient until I no longer felt pain. The procedure then was quick and painless. The wound care they sent me home to do was easy on my face, but I live alone and had to rely on friends and neighbors to help me with the two on my back that I couldn't reach and could barely see. Having the stitches taken out was also easy and relatively painless. They gave me medicine for a patch on my scalp that I have had problems with for years and have followed up to do what no one else could do: stop the itch! They also gave me medicine for my nail fungus that another doctor had told me was not a fungus, but caused by trauma, though I couldn't remember any trauma, but could date the problem back to a pedicure. I trust these people. I think they know what they are doing!

I just had what was supposed to be a follow up appointment at Dr. Andrews office on Tuesday, July…read more31. I had been in early June to get a rash on my upper thighs and buttocks examined after my family doctor had originally prescribed a cream with a steroid in it that seemed to make the rash spread. I was scheduled to see the practitioner, Michelle, instead of the doctor himself because getting in to see the doctor would have taken at least another month. Fine. I had seen her before when I had a mole removed by the doctor last year and she seemed relatively knowledgeable although she was basically assisting the doctor as he was also teaching her along the way. Anyway, back to this situation...after being referred by my family doctor and seeing Michelle, she prescribed a type of shampoo and a cream that had no steroids in it. I was to use the shampoo with a buff and scrub my affected area and leave it on for 5 minutes, then apply the cream twice a day. So I did this and then went back in for my follow up two days ago. Well, from the moment I stopped at the front desk to check in, I was met with nothing but nasty ineptness! The woman at the front desk who checks you in wouldn't even make eye contact with me! I stood there, after having waited my turn in line behind someone else whom she was gabbing it up with and laughing with, and she wouldn't even say good morning! I said good morning to this RUDE woman who still wasn't making eye contact with me. She gave a curt "good morning" and I explained that I was early for my appointment, that I had gotten dropped off early, about an hour early actually (I use a medical transportation company for my doctor's appts and often they have a few people to be dropped off at sundry places, so you may be early sometimes). I had no problem just sitting in the waiting room waiting, but after I sat down, I saw and HEARD her talking out loud saying, about me, "A LITTLE early? She's WAY early!" and she had such a frown on her face, as if me being early and sitting in the waiting room was a problem for her. I ignored her, determined that I was not going to let this horrid woman ruin my day. But things only went downhill from there. As I said, I was early and was fully prepared to sit and wait for my appointed time, but then surprisingly the nurse came and called my name! I was pleasantly surprised and grabbed my purse to walk through the door only to look over and see that the same RUDE woman at the front desk had stopped what she was doing to glare over at me with the same nasty frown she had had on her face when she realized how early I was for my appointment. I just turned my head and walked through the door following closely behind the nurse, who took me to an exam room and closed the door. I sat in a chair and the nurse asked, "what are you here to see Michelle about?" I said, "a follow up". She said "Ok, she'll be in shortly". After a short time, Michelle did come into the office. She said hello but did not look at my chart or anything. She asked me to remind her of what was going on with me. I reminded her about the rash, the cream, the shampoo, the fact that she scheduled this follow up appointment. She then took out her little flashlight and began to examine...MY NECK! I said, "No! It's on my thighs and buttocks". She THEN finally sat down at the desk and pulled up my chart and I asked her what she had diagnosed when she had taken a sample of the rash in my previous appointment. She said "I put down that it was a fungal but not sure which type". Then she went about explaining how we all have fungus in our bodies that can be activated with lack of sleep, stress, etc. I found this interesting. THEN she asked me "so where is the rash? On your back?" WTF?! I said, "No, Michelle! It's on my buttocks and thighs!" I then stood up and said, "don't you want to look at it?" and began to lower my slacks to which she said, "well, yeah, okay". WTF?! How the hell do you do a follow up on a situation when you don't even look at the area you are following up on?! She took out her little flashlight again as I stood there bare butt because I was never offered the opportunity to put on a gown or put anything over myself, and she started talking about how it seemed like it PROBABLY was getting better and told me I should buy some CeraVee for dry skin! I was so done with this appointment, I only wanted to get out of there. I asked if she would give me a refill on the cream so that I could keep applying it and hopefully the rash would clear up. She sent in the cream refill and a lotion as well and told me that I didn't need to come back unless as needed. There at the checkOUT desk was the same RUDE woman who works the front checkIN desk and she looked right in my eye and lowered her head. No good bye, no have a nice day. Nothing. Just a horrible experience all the way around.
