I've been craving fried chicken and have been disappointed no matter where I've been, but I thought I'd give the popular Krispy Krunchy a try. It's inside of a Topstop convenience store. Every southerner knows that the best fried chicken comes from a gas station, but generally the further away you get from the south the worse it gets. This place is the exception. The chicken was moist and crispy and didn't taste like it had spent a few days under the heat lamp. I had a honey biscuit, and it was a real biscuit. They also offered a blueberry biscuit. The guy behind the counter suggested their red beans and rice as a side and I gave that a try and it was good too. Other sides include mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, fries, and jambalaya. Service was quick and friendly, and the prices were okay. Not cheap, but it's worth every penny. My taste buds are so happy to finally have some decent chicken again. Thumbs up!
