We shared the chicken chimichanga plate with rice and beans. We really liked the rice. It had a nice garlic flavor in it. The beans were average as well as the chimichanga. Our server was very attentive and did a great job. The restaurant was clean. The murals in the waiting area was cool. The booths were average and old. We would have given this one more star if we weren't charged $1.00 for a 16oz. To go styrofoam cum with lid. (No ice or soda) too bad the restaurant owner makes the server deliver the bad news. I was quite skeptical of trying this Mexican restaurant as I was unsure of what to expect in this small town. But I was pleasantly surprised as the food and service exceeded my expectations. I was for sure skeptical, but they proved me wrong. We all really enjoyed the food. My daughter absolutely loved the Alfredo. My steak burrito was really good as well. Our server, Lisa, was amazing. I'll give this a 3, but that is only because the salsa was good, and the service was great. Always looking for a new Mexican restaurant to try, and tried this on Saturday night. Was greeted and seated, server was really friendly and great. The salsa was good, but the chips were definitely not fresh, they were definitely purchased from somewhere. As far as go, I got a steak burrito with green chili, and I felt that the burritos were probably bought and not made homemade. The green chili was kind of bland. The refried beans was literally super flat, with no texture, and your typical melted cheese. If you're just looking for regular Mexican, this is the place. So here I am in Roosevelt (Ballard, I guess?), Utah, for a week due to a project for work. I don't really ever come out this way often, but tend to stay in smaller towns when I do. A lot of the time, there isn't much happening in town, and my usual routine is just to go about my workday, head back to the hotel, crash, and wake up to do it all over again. Well, I just so happened to be craving Mexican food, and there also just so happened to be a Mexican restaurant close to where I was staying. Coincidence? I yanked out my phone and popped open the Yelp app to see what was up with this place before I committed, and the reviews I read were totally convincing. A short walk, and I was here - stomach growling and daydreaming of dancing chips and salsa. Lol. Anyway, there was no wait, and I was guided straight to my table. The dining area was surprisingly way bigger than I thought it was going to be walking in, and despite the fact there weren't many cars in the parking lot, there were quite a few people who seemed to be enjoying a meal out! I got my chips and salsa (yum!), decided on a beer, and proceeded to make my way through the pretty extensive menu. Decisions, decisions... I forget the number on the menu, but I settled on a chicken enchilada combo that came with rice and beans. I was SO close to getting a bigger combo, but decided to keep my waistline in mind and not gorge myself because my eyes were bigger than my stomach. The young lady helping me was super sweet and very patient with my indecisive behavior, which I appreciated. If you've read any of my reviews, I'm sure you get the sense that it's hard for me to choose a meal most of the time lol. My food came out extremely fast, was piping hot, and looked super yummy. I was definitely excited. This is unrelated to the food, but I always seem to get caught taking photos of my dishes for Yelp lol... it caught me off guard and I got a wee bit embarrassed, but back to the story. The food was great!! Everything was cooked well and super delicious. Even the rice and beans, which are usually very generic, bland sides were flavorful and went well with the enchilada. I may have just been insanely hungry when I got my food, but I thought the whole meal was great - so much so that my plate was clean by the time it came to pay the bill. The prices are very reasonable, and potion sizes are generous, no doubt. My entire meal came out to about $17, which included two beers. The atmosphere is friendly, casual, and super chill, and everyone I came into contact with was friendly and polite. I had a very nice dinner last night in this family restaurant. The food was great and the service was excellent.

Busy lunch option for Ballard but ample sitting. Chips were served warm with a good salsa. Lunch menu has a variety of options from classic Mexican to hamburgers. We got the steak fajita salad and the shrimp fajita salad. There was a good portion of meat on both and very flavorful however the lettuce seemed like it was bagged shredded romaine. The choices for dinner are pretty slim in this small town. This restaurant is hidden behind a motel on the main road. The service is great; the waiter came to our table as soon as we were seated. The food is reasonably priced and the portions are huge. It was not very spicy considering it was Mexican food, but I liked the subtle flavor. We skimmed in at 15 minutes before closing. The chips and salsa were delicious. Ordered a Chimichanga and was not disappointed perfectly crisp with a generous amount of cheese. My Sister had the Steak Ranchero and said it's the best she has had in a long time. Being from Las Vegas we eat out at many restaurants. Would say Mi Casa cooks authentic Mexican food, full of flavor. Very pleased, when we visit again will be sure to stop in. read more

We were seated immediately and salsa (very tasty but on the spicy side) and warm crisp chips were brought out very quickly. Food came out very fast and the employees were all very friendly. The menu has a varity of options not just typical Mexican dishes but pasta and burgers too. We ordered a chicken chimichanga and chicken burrito both entrees cane with beans and rice and both were reasonably priced. Unfortunately don't bother with the margaritas $5.99-6.99 (flavored). We had been shopping in Roosevelt and were hungry for Mexican food. We were headed to Vernal but stopped in Ballad when we saw the sign. We were seated immediately. My husband usually orders fish tacos and I like a good enchilada. I was so surprised when I got my food. Fist the ground beef in the enchilada was done to perfection.... It burnt like you get sometimes, and it had a light smothering of enchilada sauce not drenched to the point of wondering what's underneath. My husbands fish was grilled not breaded which he absolutely loved and was seasoned perfectly. We live in Utah county but we'll make a special trip to eat there. Delicioso!!!! read more

I generally like this place. I had a chicken chimichanga, which was really good. While I was waiting for my food they quickly brought chips and salsa. The chips were not warm like others have said they were, so that was a negative, and for my taste, the salsa was a little too spicy. The food came out fast and hot, which is always a plus. The chimichanga was really good, and came with rice and beans which were also good. Portion size was ample. I ordered extra guacamole with my chimichanga. Save your $1.99 - the guacamole is runny and blah. One problem here in my opinion - I was here during the COVID-19 pandemic (August) and I saw virtually no precautions being taken anywhere in this restaurant other than a big bottle of hand sanitizer at the waiters station. That actually seems to be the norm in this town. They seem to think that because they are quite rural they are immune, but for those of us coming from out of town that's a little scary. I did dine in anyway, because I dislike this type of food packaged up to go. To be fair, in hindsight, it did seem to me that they might have been seating people at every other table the best they could, but they weren't all that busy anyway. This resturant has good enchiladas. Don't have large to go cups, we got a huge soup cup of Horchata. It was also very expensive for an enchilada plate with 3 enchiladas rice and beans and two drinks. Okay so this is probably 5 stars for Roosevelt and 3 stars for everywhere else - definitely good food for the location! I like the carnitas, beans, tortillas and rice quite a bit. The chips, salsa, and desserts are fairly sad. And to the chefs - make your own guacamole please! read more

Stopped in and had the Chicken enchiladas. Highly recommend them. Service was quick and friendly. Chip and salsa hit the table within a minute of me being seated. Salsa was what most people would call spicy. The enchilada sauce was a little sweet for my taste. However I do like very spicy food. I had the French fried ice cream for dessert.
