This location was clean and the staff was friendly enough. It took a little while to get my food, but that's to be expected I suppose. It's not fast food. My tacos looked good and the ingredients were OK though overpriced. They fry their own shells but they were greasy. Grease was all I could taste and it was dripping off of my hands when I picked them up. Yuck. This knocked them down to three stars. read more

What excellent Mex! Fast food homemade. Perfect for a quick bite passing through town. Wish there was something like this back home. I almost hate to leave a review and let the secret out... this place is GOOD! The carne adobada is the bomb! I love the salsa bar too! Compared to the crowded chaos and generic tastes at Cafe Rio I'd rather eat at Betos any day. Share the carne asada nachos with a friend or down a burrito or a couple huge tacos. I devoured my lunch, so no picture! I had the beef taco plate which comes with refried beans & rice and this is like homemade food. It's fast food but definitely doesn't taste it. It's pricey ($10 for the plate) so next time I'll just have a taco and rice. The portions are huge too. I'm finding that Mexican food in Utah is way better than Colorado. Who knew?! read more

My husband has brought a really good chicken burrito from here a few times. Be warned. It is not the shredded chicken burrito. I ordered a chicken burrito with green sauce. She didn't ask me what kind of chicken. Got that thinking it was the right one and very disappointed. Plain shredded chicken and glob of cheese. No sauce what so ever to give it any flavor. A really small side of green sauce that can't even begin to make it tasty. And the burrito was cold. The GRILLED chicken burrito however has been delicious when I have had it in the past. read more

Been coming here for the last 6 months whenever I'm in the area. Very good food at a great price. Got the California burrito for 7-8 dollars. Very tasty and easily 3 time the size of a fast food burrito. Service was fast and friendly both at the register and getting my food. For those that want to try it it is at the shell fuel station. We specifically inquired whether or not a particular item was make with chicken breast, and the cashier told us it was. Unfortunately, the burrito was not made with chicken breast ~ rather fatty, dark meat. We asked for a replacement item and we were told they would make something else, but for an additional fee. The response didn't change when I politely reminded her that we had specifically asked while ordering and her reply was, "I thought it was (chicken breast.)" The right thing to do (obviously) would have been to offer another item and apologize for not knowing. I have worked in customer service for twenty years so I know mistakes are made, but this could have been easily fixed and it wasn't worth upsetting a customer and having them leave a negative review. It is possible that management has not empowered their staff to make such decisions, in which case they need to review what good customer service looks like. read more

my wife and i ordered at the drive up and told the girl that we wanted 2 large cokes with our meal,when we get the order the girl give us 2 pepsis instead of coke that we ordered.we told her that my wife doesnt like pepsi so take it back and she said that we are going to pay for it anyway when she should of told us at the speaker that they dont carry coke products and still said that we were going to pay for it,okay no big deal, so we ordered a lemonade instead which turned out too be something else far from lemonade and tried to hand us the pepsi anyway. like _uck dont you understand,we dont want that pepsi give it to the next customer, for -uck sakes get people that understand english//// never eat there again read more

Not sure why this place has reviews like this. I will admit I am a New Mexico/Colorado Mexican food type, but I have had some very good Mexi in CA and friends of ours from CA only cook that style and I love it. But we ate here twice now. The breakfast burritos were ok, but were basically unseasoned eggs, bacon, ham and cheese in a decent tortilla. Dinner a couple of nights ago was terrible. First we ordered chips and salsa for around $4. It came covered in tomatoes, fresh onion and cilantro. Well my wife can't eat fresh onion but she could dump it off. We both like a little cilantro, this was smoothered and neither of us like a lot. But again able to dump it off. Pain for some chips. We also ordered chips and guac for like $6. Our granddaughter loves guac, she took 1 bite and said "what is that stuff, it is just flavorless!" So we both tried it, yep no flavor. So I had the carnita plate, love good carnitas. Well they were very dry (hint to Beto's, carnitas are supposed to be moist inside crispy on the outside and very tasty) and tasted like they were a day or 2 old pork! ICK So wife had an asada burrito, the asada did have some flavor but she was overall disappointed with the rest of the ingredients in it and said a 1 ast best, won't be back. The granddaughter had her usual bean and cheese burrito that she has every where else. She ate 4 or 5 bites and said, this doesn't taste good and didn't eat anymore. So she was sick to her stomach for 2 days after not wanting to eat anything. Wife and I ate about half of ours because we were very hungry. My plate had more of that nasty guac on it. The beans were very bland and the rice was ok but I am not a big rice fan. $40.00 for this so just be forewarned not cheap, not good in our opinion. So in my opinion a 1 is generous. Any of the other Mexi restaurants in town are better then this in our opinion. We have ate at all of them including the food trailer on Vernal Ave (which didn't impress me either). Remember food is subjective but our rating is a 1 because 0 isn't an option. Won't be back! read more
