The menu is pretty simple, everything is deep fried :) The burger and fries combo was surprisingly good, along with the pork tenderloin and onion rings! We didn't care for the Shrimp PoBoy, but that was a reach trying it in the first place. The area around Tasty's is abandoned or shut down, but don't let that scare you. That's my standard test for any burger joint. Sometimes I'll get fries or tots, but I don't really care for either generally. Today I got a big old Smashburger. The patties were thin crispy and more than ample. Great flavor and sear on the meat. Friendly gal at the front register who allowed me to take my time as I was unfamiliar with the menu. She was very kind. The floor is a little dirty, and it smells kind of funky, which is appropriate for a good burger joint. I will be back. Thanks to my wife for convincing me to give Paul's a second chance.

My burger was good and meaty but light on seasonings. My tater tots were just plain bad. Overcooked, smaller than normal tots, and crumbling apart in the bag. With that being said though, I'm happy my first was here. It is a drive thru only and I would say that I wish there was a lobby to sit and take in the full experience but I dont live far from the location so my food was still pretty warm when I got home. It took us less than 10 mins to get our food. The staff were very nice. The spicy chicken waffle was delicious. The chicken is seasoned throughly and although it looked extremely crispy, it was actually pretty easy to bite into and was as hot as I wanted it to be,(It's probably too hot for those who are sensitive to spicy food). I also like that the chicken is cut up into pieces to make it easier to eat. They only gave us 2 maple syrups which was not enough for both my husband and I. The waffles were a bit moist at the bottom but it wasn't bad. The Mac and cheese was also an incredible side for this meal. The cookies and cream shake was not the best but nonetheless was still appetizing and delicious. I just run a tight program when it comes to cookies and cream and my shakes lol. Altogether great first time experience. I'll definitely be coming back...Hopefully there's a lobby when I do!

I haven't been here before, but was craving a wrap. I ended up choosing the Asian sauce and just had the wrap prepared as it is on the menu. I also got a 3 strip combo with seasoned fries and a drink to take home for lunch the next day. The wrap was pretty good, although I didn't care for the slaw and pickles with the sauce. That doesn't mean there was anything wrong with it, just the flavors didn't blend for me. The fries were good, but not great. For being called seasoned fries they really didn't have that good seasoned kick that you'd expect. We did enjoy the chicken strips. I'll look forward to trying some of the other items on the menu. I don't know that it's so good I'll be going a lot, but I do want to try the waffles and some of the other stuff.

I went in with average expectations. The place is essential a Mexican sundries shop with a kitchen. One thing I love is the vibe when you walk in, it has that small town, tons of products everywhere, overwhelming feel- I kinda like that. I ordered 2 tacos (was planning to get 6) and a Torta. The torta (a Mexican sandwich) grabbed my attention because it occupied 5/6 of the menu slots so I thought "this must be their thing." All were ordered carne asada (steak) even though I'm dying to try their al pastor (pork/pineapple). They have several salsas that come on the side (maybe 4-5) - I got the mild green one and the medium red one. NOW the first bite of asada taco: it was GOOD. I tried it again, VERY GOOD. It comes topped with standard cilantro/onion on a nice soft corn tortilla that has just a bit of crisp (gah so good!). The meat is INCREDIBLY flavorful. Like "don't let a small piece get away" flavorful. The must marinade it beforehand and then season while cooking. One thing I can't stand is under-seasoned food, this is NOT that. I couldn't believe it. The church i attend is right down the road from this place and I've never been. I'm kicking myself.... The Torta was VERY good as well. The bread was soft and delicious. The toppings were all fresh. It wasn't dry because they add a seasoned mayo to the bread that mixes with the fresh avocado and salty asada. It was so so good. The salsas added spice and acid that really complimented the food. They were hot; the medium salsa I'd classify as a hot salsa. Very tasty. Not for the faint at heart. I also routinely eat medium/hot spicy food so I'm no light foot on the heat scale. All in all I highly recommend. I will be back, with friends.

We met at Café Cà Phê's four-year anniversary…read more I came around the corner and there they were. We locked eyes. I couldn't believe they were staring right at me. For a brief moment, I thought I heard music. There was a DJ, actually. But that's not how I remember it. I remember the bus. Yellow and black, impossible not to notice. Anime artwork stretched across the side. Go Chew Burger. At the window, someone was waiting who was every bit as inviting as the aroma coming out of that heavenly little bus. I started looking over the menu, and there, winking at me, was the GOCHEW Burger. They mentioned the double patty. I hesitated. "We won't tell anybody." Two patties it was. They also talked me through the kimchi: fresh or charred. They gave me enough information to make me feel like I was making all the decisions. Double patty. Charred kimchi. Loaded fries. I was all in. While I waited, I did what anyone with an infatuation does: research. I learned about Joohae "Chewy" Yoon and what she's trying to do with GOCHEW--take Korean flavors and put them into foods people already know. Burgers. Fries. Familiar food carrying something new. Then the buzzer went off. Time for our first date. No chairs. No tables. Things were getting a little awkward, so we went back to the car. The fries had lost their crispness to the sauces and steam, but I didn't care. The Korean BBQ sauce was sweet and savory, the gochujang brought mild heat, the creamy lime sauce cut through it all, and the bright green chives pulled everything together. Incredible. But the burger? Perfectly crisped edges. Juicy, hot beef. Melted cheese. Charred kimchi bringing sweetness and acidity. Three sauces that somehow never fought for attention. And the bun had a serious responsibility. Two patties. Cheese. Kimchi. Three sauces. Everything depended on it. Spider-Man protects New York and everyone who depends on him. This bun had the same problem. With great power comes great responsibility. And it held. Mostly. The attraction was still there. The infatuation was still there. But they had become something else entirely. Love. This wasn't just a good burger. This is the best smash burger I've had in Kansas City. Chewy set out to make people fall in love with Korean food by putting those flavors into things they already know. I think she got me.
