As I was getting closer to home I knew I needed to eat something. I always do this when I am coming from the Baltimore/DC area. I forget to eat until I am near an area that doesn't have much to offer. Grantsville gave me an opportunity to grab a quick bite before I finished heading home. I came here because I knew I could get what I wanted and partly because I have basically tried everything else at this stop off the highway. I knew what I wanted, came in, ordered and sat down and to eat my food. What was very interesting with this place was the staff. Mostly how they were interacting with the customers when they came in. One such customer came in and basically babbled off an order without looking at the changes on the menu. When he heard the price an argument started between the customer and staff. Mostly the customer arguing that he was just in here last week and the price wasn't that high. The staff attempted to redirect him and tell him the promotion changed. Customer still wasn't hearing him. Then the staff said, with a twang to his voice, "Don't raise your voice to me, I can read." He then physically pointed on the menu board what the promotion was. Firmly put that customer in his place and proceeded on. I hand it to the staff as they must have to deal with this on the regular especially since it seemed like another day for them. Still one of the better fast food chains but still a fast food chain. We are in the Maryland outback with few choices and on a trip eager to get somewhere. There must be a dozen burger variations. Lets be clear: they are all the same thing. And the difference between each size is not in proportion to the price. I will admit that we ate the food, it had a decent flavor, and then we moved on. BK is a chain, and you can pretty much find it anywhere, kind of like Mickey D's. They have been around since '53 (FL), originally known as 'Insta-Burger King.' A year later, the name was changed to 'Burger King' when it was purchased by two guys when it was going through financial trouble. The menu offers your typical fast food fare, such as burgers (Whoppers), chicken/fish sandwiches (even grilled options), chicken strips, salads, veggie burgers, breakfast items (sandwiches and hash browns), sides (onion rings and fries), and smoothies/frappes. Recently remodeled, we stopped by to grab a quick breakfast. I highly recommend in getting the breakfast combo #7, as it comes with two Croissan'wiches of your choice (bacon, egg, & cheese, or sausage, egg, & cheese (we opted for the latter)), two sides of hash browns, and coffee (which we substituted for OJ instead). The breakfast sandwiches were prepared once ordered, and they came out fresh. The hash browns were right out of the fryer and were nice and crispy! The OJ comes in a carton, but of a generous size to quench your thirst. Great place to stop by while driving on the 68! +breakfast combo #7 read more

Here's the thing - I'm driving back from Pittsburgh, PA after a funeral. They stopped serving breakfast at 10:30, I thought it was 11, so I was late, but really wanted French toast. I didn't even overly ask and Mrs Tammy at the front asked them to make me French toast. It's truly that kind of service that makes a place great and so this is a stop I'll make next time, just to continue to support businesses such as this one. Thanks Mrs. Tammy. read more

Decent newish store. They have a play place, which was nice for my 3 year old after a longish drive. There was space to run around and the food was usual for Burger King. Here's a major negative: THERE WAS NO BABY CHANGING STATION IN EITHER RESTROOM. We needed to change a diaper... As most trips would have it. No changer. Changed my son on the floor. That's ridiculous! If you need to play, stop here. If your child needs to pee, stop elsewhere. read more

Arrived at 1030p, 30 minsbeforr drive thru closes, they wouldnt serve us because we were in an rv. They said its against policy..16 hungry people and you turn em away cause you're afraid to reach out the window to serve us. Very disappointing, will not be returning. Just went through the drive-through and got 2 packs of nuggets and 2 chicken juniors. The chicken juniors were fresh and tasty but the nuggets were literal garbage. I ate the chicken juniors but was forced to literally throw away the 20 nuggets that I paid for because they were old, hard and disgusting. I don't leave yelp reviews but I made an account specifically to warn people about how TERRIBLE the food at this location can be. I tried to force myself to eat the nuggets but even after reheating them to warm them up they were absolutely vile. Why would anyone serve these nuggets to other human beings? Burger King nuggets are great when they are fresh but these nuggets that seemed to be hours old. I wouldn't feed these to my dog. I called to speak with someone at the location and they were extremely polite about the situation offering to make me a new batch or to give me my money back. read more
