When home for a birthday weekend for one of my siblings, I had to run out to grab a few things. Not having time to squeeze in dinner we had to make due. There are choices in this area, but we opted for what we thought would be fast. We should have gone elsewhere if we were looking for fast. This McDonald's has been here for decades. Outlasting the go cart track, multiple rebuilds of the Sheetz, and stores closing down nearby. We pulled in, later in the evening, and the parking lot was nearly empty. We actually wondered if the lobby was closed. But we took the chance to come inside. Like most locations, this one focuses too much on the drive thru. Which became apparent when we had placed our orders and waiting long than you should have to at a fast food place. What was surprising was the customer service. The lady that did end up serving our food to us was a delight. She was funny, didn't take any grief, and if I remember correctly, was singing while she worked. I loved that she put my Dad in his place. My Dad was being a bit too much asking for things that he could have grabbed himself. The food is what you would expect. I did give their new sandwich a try. It was decent and possibly too much food for one meal. The Big Arch is basically the Big Mac in a trench coat. Better cheese and fried onion straws. This location went through a change when McDonald's wanted to grow up, but they held onto some nostalgia things. Like Ronald McDonald outside on a bench and some of the old roofline. But, like I said, not many people will care since they are in the drive thru. read more

If you're into dried out burgers that taste like yesterdays and cool fries that are actually the worst I've ever had in any McDonalds, this is the place for you. This hasn't happened on just one occasion but probably three over the several years I've lived near here. There's no use complaining, I just stopped going all together. read more

Soooo...McDonalds in Duncansville served me a burger and fries and I got a little bonus, a mouse turd was in it. So of course I called them and asked for a manager, the guy who answered said he was the manager and his name was "Bob" so I proceeded to tell him what had happened. No sorry, no nothing, he was rude af so I asked for the other manager, Bob says he's on break, which I do not believe. So I asked for the head directors number, he wouldn't give it to me or take my name and number to have him call me back. I have A LOT to say about this Mcdonald's, first I would like to start with saying I was a crew member at mcdonald's, but i wanna start off by talking ab how extremely unsanitary it is, in the few MONTHS that i had worked there, there was many disgusting sites to see, first WORMS sitting under our frappe machine ( i have a picture), also just the amount of bugs that was inside were disgusting, there would be piles of ants that i had to sweep up just crawling around under the booths, second, hair nets are not even owned in there, i have never seen one person wearing a hairnet, or managers enforcing hairnets, (even the staff in kitchen), they would also allow the women to have their (very long) hair down in ponytails( in kitchen), not to mention the fact that 2 days IN A ROW customers got served "raw" pink meat, i had seen it with my own eyes, it's disgusting to think they didn't even care to check? extremely unsanitary and not safe. As well as the towels we would use to CLEAN OFF TABLES AND CHAIRS, were dirty, the water, that's supposed to be clean, was cold, and dirty, as well as the towels, they would have chunks of food and stains on them, mind you this was the CLEAN towel bin, i had made comments about it to the managers but nothing was ever done about it, and when i was in kitchen the few times i was, i had seen that when someone put something on a sandwich that wasn't to be on there, they would just take the ingredient off and serve that sandwhich (yes even sauce), now that i've gotten the unsanitary issues out of the way, lets move on to the unprofessional issues, first i have seen MANAGERS vaping on shift, and I personally have been asked by a manager if i had a vape she could hit (i was 15), they would go against the crews availability multiple times, their would be no reinforcement or corrections with certain workers because "they have been there for so long" such as a couple things im about to list, a particular coworker that had worker their for a little over a year would deliberately choose the wrong thing when taking orders and when i asked her to stop and why her response was "bc i don't care" and no action was taken, that same coworker would also go into the bathroom on this specific day with me and the manger, and screamed profanities and moaned, while we had customers in lobby, (yes they heard), no repercussions taken, but the funny thing is, i got fired bc i wasn't able to make in it for my 2:45 shift ,without being contacted to discuss or inform me of my termination, i had to call them to ask a question about my position and that's when i got informed, as well as spoken down to by my manger there is many more things i could discuss but honestly i think i've already listed a good some of reasons of what's wrong with that shit hole. read more

They have terrible service. We waited in the drive thru line for 20 minutes with only 3 cars in front of us. We got the food and it was cold. And yesterday my friend got food poisoning from it. You pretty much know what to expect when you go to a McDonald's, but this one is notorious for a game we like to play called "What did they forget this time?" I tend to drive out of my way now to the one on Plank Road because I hate having to check my order every time here. Forget about getting sauce for your Chicken McNuggets if you order it when you order your food. I've never had a problem with the taste or quality of food here, which would probably merit a 1 if I did, but the drive-thru service is the worst. read more

I'm sick and tired of this. Me and my friend were getting chicken nuggets. She got sweet and sour sauce and I got ranch. Well, we got in our car and I was all excited to get my nuggets. Well, guess what wasn't in the FREAKING bag, you guessed it the FREAKING RANCH. Fun fact, I don't enjoy my nuggets DRY. I bet you that ranch container was right beside the sweet and sour container. But, that fat, stupid blonde girl couldn't reach in fat hippopotamus arm into the FREAKING ranch container. And not to mention my milkshake that was supposed to be chocolate tastes like MINT. In 2012 Ryan S. wrote a review that noted that this McDonalds plays the "What did they forget this time?" game. Well I guess they're still playing it. Last week I ordered a Snack wrap with grilled chicken. When I bit into it my teeth bit into crunchy coating - apparently they forgot what 'grilled' means. Then this evening, I ordered a Quarter Pounder Deluxe (the picture showed cheese as one of the ingredients). I watched them fill my bag and then set it aside, waiting on four-piece chicken McNuggets. I watched the 'cook' send the chicken nuggets, but continued to wait while two cars were waited on. Finally, the chicken nuggets were put in the bag and I headed to my car. I opened up the Quarter Pounder Deluxe and guess what I didn't find ~ the cheese that shows up clearly in the picture. I'm at least glad that I had planned on eating in my car. If I would have driven all the way home before discovering it I would have been very upset. read more
