It's a few minutes off the highway, but certainly doesn't feel like you're in Gas City, IN. It looks like they added on an outdoor space recently. Nothing too extravagant, but nice enough for lunch. A nice younger man took care of us on the patio. The menu was quite eclectic and unique. The tortilla chips and cold bean dip was a great way to start. Both our soups were fantastic....cheddar cheese for one and leek soup the other. Fish and chips hit the spot and apparently a fan favorite. My wife had the club sandwich of GF bread. Great little local spot if you're ever in the area.

I love the chocolate midnight shake, but the IWU2 and Trojan sundae are pretty good as well. No free refills and water is self serve. I loved to grab ice cream and walk around town or Taylor but there's plenty of seating inside.

I don't understand the hype?…read more We stopped by Ivanhoe's for lunch during a work trip. I've been told the place is supposed to be an "Indiana destination location"... I don't get it. Ivanhoe's was ok, but nothing special. It's like a rundown and dilapidated Culver's, but with a smaller menu and the food isn't nearly as good. We got there at 11:40 and it was busier than a one-legged man in a butt kicking contest... It was literally like an AARP Club in there (we were the young whipper snappers). The service was friendly, but it took 40 minutes for us to order and get our food... Their operations were super slow and inefficient. The food itself was alright (decent pork tenderloin) and they have an ice cream menu the size of Texas, but overall it just wasn't anything to write home about. Ivanhoe's is your quintessential podunk small town Indiana restaurant, which is cool but not worth all the hype... Good? Yes. Great? No.

Okay, not great, needs a seasoning update but for the price. (I would suggest made to order but that the only negative but considering the quality of cravable hamburgers you get a pass.
