I felt completely harassed at this location by the young man at the drive-thru window. Sunday 10:15 a.m. McDonald's was extremely busy so I came here to this Burger King which was only a few blocks down the street. First thing I noticed was that it was not busy, and no wonder, a delivery truck was blocking the entrance to the drive-thru as as I entered from Palm Beach Blvd., forcing me to exit your lot from the front and re-enter it from the side street at the back in order to reach it. Finally there, I ordered a ham croissant and a chocolate shake. When I pulled up to the window, I asked for a Caramel Frappe instead of the Chocolate Shake. The young man at window said yes. When I realized they'd already made the shake, I agreed to buy that as well. So I purchased both the Shake and the Frappe, plus the sandwich. I was handed the shake & sandwich then he told me to pull up to the front of the parking lot and wait for the Frappe and they would walk it out to me. I replied that never mind, to refund the Frappe because I didn't want to wait. He responded, saying it was being made that very minute. I said, okay...how long could that take, less than a minute? Why must I pull up when no cars are behind me waiting, explaining I'd rather not pull up. Then he said I was on "drive-thru" time and that I shouldn't have ordered the Frappe as an after thought and asked me to please pull up. Still no other cars, I told him I'd pull up ONLY if a car were to appear behind me, but he still insisted. Finally, I explained I did not feel SAFE pulling up (it's a very bad neighborhood), and then my Frappe was ready and he snottily handed it to me as though I were the enemy. Note: the Frappe was ready in under one minute. Was arguing in the time that the Frappe was being made really necessary? Would refunding my money have been quicker? Why create conflict when it wasn't necessary? Why did I have to endure this kind of harassment when there was nobody else waiting? As I drove away, there were STILL NO CARS BEHIND ME! I'm the customer and this was uncalled for. The semi blocking the drive-thru wasn't helping your business to begin with, but now I know why McDonald's parking lot was full and yours wasn't. I'm writing this for the same reason I agreed to go ahead and buy the shake-- because I'm a responsible person -- the manager needs to read this! read more
