Their menu varied from nachos to fried seafood. I ordered their fried shrimp and fish platter with the side salad and fries. The fish was hot and good. I believe they use real catfish, unlike some of the other restaurants. Next time I make ask them to fry it a little harder but it was indeed good! The side salad had that shredded lettuce so it was ok. The shrimp were seasoned and fried well too.

I started hunting and based off of pictures and reviews, I found Casa Hernandez. I drove over there but they were not open. Probably due to Beryl. I decided to go to the old Schultz, now known as Diamond W. That was a complete mistake. The Enchilladas were dry as the Sahara, and no chili gravy. Just Hamburger meat inside the tortilla and cheese on the top. It comes with 3 and I guess they got lazy on the 3rd one. It hardly had nothing in or on it. I definitely will not be going there again when I'm in town. Ughhhhh...

So, when they were at my Annex today, I decided to give them a try. Although there are a ton of options to add, I went with my go-to... classic burger dry, with tomatoes and pickles. Guys, this burger was perfection. Juicy and savory and just right. And enough for me to cut in half and save the second for supper tonight (although I really wanted to eat the whole thing right then and there!) The meal also came with fries that had a Cajun blend spice. I am from Louisiana, so this is always a majordomo test. I'm not sure which blend they created, but it is spot on fabulous. And as an added bonus, the incredibly friendly lady (I'm sad I didn't ask her name) asked if I had ever tried their avocado ranch. I had not, so she handed me some of their homemade goodness and told me to dip my fries in that. AMAZING!! And corrected me from my misguided notion that all Ranch dressings are the same. I will definitely be going back and make sure you do as well!! You will not be disappointed.

There was a guy behind the bar that could have said that but he just looked at us and sat down in front of the bar. Besides that, everything else went well. Most of the staff are young. Our server took our order and the food came out at a decent time. I tried their Chicken Spaghetti and it came with a side salad. The spaghetti & sauce was nicely seasoned, I'm just not too sure about whether they used fresh chicken breast or canned ones. I was curious about that. Other than that everything was fine.
