Basically it's a bar (51% establishment) that added food to stay open during the pandemic and now they have embraced the food side of the business. I'm glad to see others have added reviews and like it as well. The food is good, they've added a pizza oven, and the menu has pizza, wings, burgers and a few appetizers. On their Facebook page they occasionally run specials, like chicken fried steak or something else on the weekend. It's a family run establishment, and in addition to the bar and the food they have some pool tables and in the evenings on weekends there is even a little dancing going on.

Once we got down the road I realized they forgot the bacon.. and the side of Chipotle Mayo. I was pretty bummed especially considering we paid for the bacon we didn't receive. I'm a big fan of BBQ, and I'm so glad I did. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. While traveling the beautiful backroads of Texas, my hungry colleagues and I stumbled upon the…read moreHorny Toad. Located in the middle of nowhere, in a quiet little sleepy town. Tucked away on a quiet street. Nothing fancy at all about this place. My colleagues and I strolled right in and were greeted promptly by a friendly face. We walked past the bar and were seated right away with. Totally digging the rustic atmosphere and the western decor. We were given menus and drink orders were taken. We perused the menu and drinks were back in good time. Lots of good options on the menu, and a lot of different ways to order a burger. Our friendly waitress was very helpful with lots of other customizations of other orders. (sorry I did not catch her name!) Also quick with a recommendation or witty banter to a couple of smart aleck coworkers of mine. All in good fun of course. I kept it simple. A bacon cheeseburger with mayo and no veggies. I did not chose to upgrade my burger with the "toad bun" and got a side order of tator tots. (That is not a misspelling on my part. That's how they are printed on the menu). After some great conversations with my colleagues, our food arrived in good time. The room got awfully quiet as we got to it. My burger was nothing short of amazing. Very juicy, flavorful, and it did not last long on my plate. Bacon was crispy, cheese was gooey, and all on good bread. Tator tots were crispy and everything a tator tot should be. I did hear some of my colleagues who ordered the "toad bun" say the upgraded bun did not hold up well and did not hold up well to the juicy burger. They said it was tasty, but went soggy fast. So, keep that in mind if you order one. We finished our burgers, and walked up to the front to pay. By this time it was getting busy, and you could see a lot of the "regulars" passing the time with the waitstaff whom were all on a first name basis. Like that, we all were gone in a flash. I was very happy we visited this little hole in the wall joint, and hope to stumble across it again one day. Highly recommend this little jewel if you are in the area. Please drop in and give it a try. You will love it. Enjoy!

There appeared to be team of three staff 1 - kitchen, 1- drive thru, and 1- front counter. While it is a small town, I didn't think it was too busy. However, we did wait a long time at the counter. The drive thru staff acknowledged us and had to tell the front counter staff to take our order. Once our order was taken, the food came out quickly. The food presentation was promising. We ordered two Double Meat Belt Buster Combos one with fries and other with onion rings. Unfortunately, the meat patties were overly salted! Due to the amount of salt, we couldn't finish our burgers. The cost of the food with drinks was $27.77. As always if you find yourself in Clifton, Texas stop by Dairy Queen to give it a try for yourself.

You have your proof of concept, now just dress it up. A suggestion on the sound. It was pretty much inaudible upstairs. I could hear that ya'll were talking - just very hard to make out the words. Which was a shame because I really wish I could have made out the Q&A Session better. I saw speakers everywhere - they just were not sending words to me. Not sure if it was better downstairs.

From what I understand the establishment is under New Ownership. Management, from my experience is killing it. The menu has a lot of options and literally everything wa appealing. I'm a Wing guy so that was a given. Big Wings cooked and seasoned perfectly served with what might be the best hand cut Onion Rings I had in a long time. If I remember there were like five flavors and I'm sure there was no bad choice on flavors. There is also a Steakhouse from what I'm told serves a very good Rib Eye. I should also mention the Burgers were said to be the best around. The Bartender Jennifer was very nice and made some tasty Cocktails. They also had a very good selection of Beers and some that seemed to be Texas favorites lol. I had a chance to talk to the Manager Reggie who was a nice guy. He said they have live Music some days. The place was.complete with a Stage and an area for Dancing. He said Ted Nugent was there recently. Definitely it my thing but to each his own. It's off the beaten path but as I said a great place to go to get away for a few Hours. Next time I'm in Fort Worth I'll probably go again. Especially if I find a business that Rents Bikes. Still thinking about those Wings. Lol. Yallhollatchaboy'.
