Though, in this case, my friend picked up a "Halfsies" which is a side order of French fries AND onion rings. The fries were freshly fried, so they were hot, and had that crispness you'd expect but soft potatoe-y inside. The rings were good with a golden brown batter on the outside. This location seemed newer or recently remodeled. I was surprised to see the self-serve fountain drink machine. I thought most fast food places were doing away with them. Apparently not! If I could give zero stars I would. We made a mistake to stop here, after a field trip on our way back home. I love Burger King, but this one was worse than going to a gas station. The bathrooms are a mess. And looking on a previous photo from back in 2024, nothing has changed. Not sure if there was water or urine on the floor. BIG hazard! On 01/29/26 (Thurs) I had stopped by Burger King in Castroville, California around 3 PM There was only two cars in front of me and at first no cars behind me so it was not a busy time. By the time I was at the drive-through window, there were two cars behind me. I placed my order and I spoke slowly, clearly and heard them repeat the order back to me correctly I had ordered onion rings, but was given french fries instead OK not that big a deal I had also ordered some burgers and I requested two orders of tacos and I didn't receive any tacos whatsoever Unfortunately, I did not realize it until after. I had left the area and I didn't want to drive back just for two orders of tacos. Unfortunately, this is not the first time something like this has happened to me so I normally try to avoid the Burger King location in Castroville for this specific reason but I also live in Castroville and at times I don't wanna go all the way to Salinas to grab something from fast food quickly I understand mistakes can happen from time to time, but this seems to be this specific location in Castroville that constantly makes mistakes Also, the food workers have received a well-deserved raise in minimum wages, even though the price of food has gone up with it, but it's hard to make ends meet on minimum wage to begin with I also understand that young high school kids or kids in their early 20s no longer make up the majority of the people working in fast food locations But the supervisors need to make it a point not only to properly train these individuals but to also continue to check to see if they are doing things correctly the majority of the time at least as I said, I understand nobody is perfect, but if you read other various pose for this website, this is not a one time thing, and it constantly happens specifically in this location Hoping things will improve in the future here read more

Oh where do I even start? Maybe with the staff? Took 20 min for the staff to even take our order. All of our food was incorrect or inedible. Curly black hair in our French fries. We're all blonde in the car btw. Chicken fries were obviously sitting out for over an hour. drinks were all wrong & we didn't even get one of kids drinks. This place is a joke. I know fast food is fast food but the customer service here is awful. We got a kids meal and instead of a toy it came with an extra fry. Then the restrooms were locked when my 5 year old had to go and they were lazy and didn't want to come unlock them for us. We're paying customers and were polite. I was treated poorly and with disrespect when I returned my sandwich, which was old/hard and covered in too much Mayo!! Nida the manager and two employees insulted me by making comments about my age. They shook their heads and all ganged up and bullied me. I left with my head low, But with an intention to bring awareness of how they're treating people to the public domain. It's one thing to serve food that's not to the customer satisfaction. It's entirely another thing to treat customers with disrespect and scowl at them. So it sucks because when I work down this way it's a long commute home and I like snack foods and BK is the best at that. I ordered 8pc nuggets and 8pc jalapeño poppers and figured I could eat a small burger too so got the bacon cheese burger. Besides the burger the food was great! So here's the context, it was like 1:45-2pm and there was this white dodge caravan ordering food and talking to the lady too, I was able to get halfway through my Hulu show while waiting ~12 minutes, I almost left! But drove up and literally took me 15 seconds to order. Pull up behind this caravan and sit at the window and she complains or whatever she keeps doing and I finish my show by the time she drives away. As any upset customer would, I wish I could give this place no stars. I came to this establishment while driving from Big Sur California back to the sf Bay Area in the beginning of September. Me and my fiancé went through the drive-thru and never received our credit card back. We didn't even realize this until about an hour into our drive when we had to stop for gas again. We we thought it would be safe at an establishment since most places have protocols for lost cards. We didn't receive any call and it was not a big deal until about two weeks ago. I was looking at my bank statements, and there were nine fraudulent charges made in Castroville. I live nowhere near Castroville in the last place. My credit card was, was in Castroville at this very Burger King. This city is about 2 1/2 hours away from where I live and the only way it could have had fraudulent charges is if an employee took my card and used it. I have since canceled that card and have filed a police report. I understand I should have realized I didn't get my card back, but the staff is trained on transactions and to give change/card with the receipt. I would not even give this place business because it obviously has one or a few people that like to steal from customers. read more

Absolutely terrible! On a simple dine-in whopper meal it took twenty minutes. When I picked it up they had bagged it, no big deal. When I went to sit down in an almost empty restaurant there were no clean tables even though there were at least a half dozen employees doing absolutely nothing while one of them did all the work. The drink dispenser was out of most drinks and the catchup dispenser was empty. When I opened my bag they had put my fries in upside down so I lost half of them trying to get my burger out.
