For a long time I ceased going to Burger King after I ate there a lot during my childhood; remember those suburban birthday parties at Burger King? I don't remember why I stopped going. Maybe I found their offerings tired, but I also started watching what I eat. Lately, when I want an occasional "guilty pleasure" of fast food, I will try the Burger King on Jones Ferry Road. This store does not have super late hours like Wendy's, but it's still a good place to go when you want your fast food fix. The staff is nice enough and the orders are usually expedited quickly. The seating area is nice but nothing fancy; most of the times I go through the drive-through. They have the RFID card readers on the outside of the drive-through window so that you can swipe or tap your own card. This is great for those who don't like people touching or scratching their credit cards, although one of the attendants tends to be "pushy" for you to hand him the card. As of late Burger King has changed their menus by adding new items to attract and maintain patrons. Their fruit smoothies made from real fruit are really good, can't vouch for the validity of their advertising but it has a nice fruity taste and the strawberry-banana or raspberry smoothies make for a nice meal when I am on a rush and want something filling without making my stomach feel heavy. The sweet potato fries are a good alternative to the standard fries, but don't expect them to be better than those of a restaurant. On a few occasions I have had their croissanwich breakfast items, which are tasty to have occasionally. If you have not gone to a Burger King in a while, like I had, I would say give their new items a try. Also, their old standbys like the Whopper are still there too. read more

WOW!!! My frustration with a nearby Burger joint, that recently signed on with Walmart to get more business is really striking OUT !!! You might want to find a Burger joint that does customer service!!! I of course can only place the order through online app and after going through ALL of that yack, it cuts off and shows closed!!! My wife & I stopped at the drive-up window at about 5 pm today, 8/19, & I ordered 2 fish sandwiches, 2 veggie burgers, & 2 small mozzarella fries. I paid by credit card but received no receipt. We got home, opened the bag, & found 2 fish sandwiches & 2 fries-- but no veggie burgers. I phoned their number as listed on their website but got no answer. I was willing to overlook this "error" if they delivered my 2 missing burgers to my door, but they didn't answer the phone. Therefore I'll write a warning to everyone: Shop elsewhere-- not at this Burger King. They can count to 4 but not beyond. Large orders--such as 6 items-- is beyond their intelligence. Was I charged for the 4 items I received or the 6 that I ordered. Having received no receipt, I am unable to tell. I will assume I was charged for 6 items. Stealing money from us old folks is about as low as a thief can go. They may not be very intelligent when it comes to numbers, but they are very good at swindling the customer. Wow... you never expect to walk in for breakfast at a restaurant only to see the manager act like a child. After one employee had to leave early due to immediate death in his family he instructed the employee he was not allowed to leave until he finished making sandwiches. another younger employee stepped in to defend the first employee to which the manager threatened to beat his ass. Super classy at the Jones Ferry Rd., Burger King in Chapel Hill North Carolina. The only reason that I ever go there is because of AJ an amazing young man who was always polite and helpful. This Burger King is slow there is no reason we should have to wait 11 minutes in drive thru for 2 croissants & 1 hash brown. The inside was being served before us when we were definitely ordered and waiting before those customers. This is an ongoing problem at this location and it seems like the management doesn't care at all to correct this, and this is has been continued for years. They are also quite careless. Absolutely the worst Burger King in the area. Had 5 people working including a GM and still couldn't get our order out in 40 minutes. Had to ask for drinks, ask for the two French Fries that came with Whopper combos. Then the GM through the two cheese burgers,double cheeseburger, two whoppers and 4 orders of fries in a bag meant for two whoppers. What a Mess! She didn't care in fact blamed it on Covid 19? Definitely the most magical thing about this burger king is that they have a special where you can order 55 cent cheeseburgers after 8 pm every day. There's no limit it seems; I once ordered 19 cheeseburgers for me and my coworkers. Sometimes they can be kind of slow but they've improved their efficiency lately (I think they start pre-emptively making cheeseburgers for the onslaught of people like me). I'll be honest, Burger king isn't amazing fast food, but this deal is pretty amazing, and for that, they get my seal of approval. read more

This place is ridicylous, no idea how it's still in business. I went twice after work, about 5pm, both times through the drive thru and they said it would be a 10 minute wait, despite there only being one car in front of me. Tonight I went around 8 drive thru again and they had wet floor signs blocking the drive thru lane. This is the easiest job in the country, and these guys are too lazy to do it . $15 an hour? My sister came to town to visit and we decided to shift away from our normal day-to-day by grabbing some fast food at this Burger King. The food was decent and speedy but the person who took our order was rude for no reason at all. We ordered two meals and we asked what drinks were available bc we didn't see the list on the board. The person just responded "Coke. Products." we asked again because we don't work in food service and neither of us drink soda or juices that aren't natural often and we don't know which companies make which drinks and his response was again "Coke Products" in a rude and condescending manner. He literally refused to tell us and then someone else jumped onto the intercom (not because we asked but because they heard the exchange not going well) and they finally listed what was available so we could decide and move on. I usually don't make comments on Yelp but I just had to share my experience with this Burger King so other people will be aware what I have experience there. I order on the app paid for the meal on the app got a receipt stating I paid for it along with a order number and went to pick it up at the drive thru and the Manager says that I don't have it in my system. I told him that here is the proof and he was very rude and said well it's not in the system it's nothing I can do about it. We close at 10:00 pm this was 8:22 when this took place and I didn't get no food but I got charge for it. No okay to talk and treat your customers like that. He was very rude and didn't help at all the called Customer Relations on him. They have lost a customer and I told him I was going to report him. Btw he didn't take the time to look at the receipt. He was more concern about closing at 10:00 pm and it was only 8:22 pm really. Rude and unprofessional unpleasant. They really need a 0 star. read more

As we approached the ominous looking foundation, I started to hear a distant murmur through the open windows. No, it couldn't be. Was a customer really chewing out an employee for getting an order wrong? I didn't really think much of it at the time. Finally, we advanced in the line, as we frequently glanced down at our watches to see if we would make the tailgate in time. Parallel with the microphone, my dad started his order and the sassy employee barked "One moment please". We all rolled our eyes and waited in silence, as we wanted to place an order and get the show on the road. After what felt like an eternity (7-10 minutes), we finally ordered: one Whopper, one Whopper Jr, one Bacon King, one Quarter Pounder, two small fries, and two soft drinks. It seemed simple enough of an order for a family of four. I thought. We rolled forward and I saw that the person in front of us had to pull into a parking spot to wait for their food. This made us suspicious because we just waited in the order line for an extensive period of time. Our large car crept forward to pay and receive our food. The cashier took our card, swiped it, and returned it. The time passed by and nothing happened. Four minutes, six minutes, eight minutes. I glanced inside the establishment to see what the heck took so long and I saw workers lumbering around, seemingly strolling carelessly on the job. Feeling completely unmotivated to work, the lack of work ethic from the employees prevented us from getting our food. Understaffed and unconcerned, the employees caused a great deal of frustration in our car. I glanced over my shoulder, and observed that the line of cars stretched all the way around the building. It made me wonder how many hours these cars were going to wait. The employees didn't even give us our soft drinks to keep us busy. How hard would have that been? Finally, the food arrived. My dad unhappily received the food and sped away. After all of that, our bag still lacked a cheeseburger! Leaving angry, hungry, and late, we sped off to the tailgate. This was a complete customer service nightmare. On the road, I whipped out my Whopper and inspected it. I crinkled the wrapper and finally unwrapped the long-awaited lunch. At first glance, it was the saddest piece of meat I have ever seen. The lettuce and onions were draped off the side of the burger and it looked disgusting. The meat was burnt all the way around the circumference, while it remained dry in the center. I have never been one to criticize food because I am not a picky eater. Besides being the most disheveled burger I had ever seen, the taste wasn't much better. As my stomach continued to growl, I hoped to put the poor presentation and atrocious customer service behind me once and for all. After the first bite, I concluded that the taste represented the management, absolutely poor. The dryness of the meat was repulsive when combined with the warm vegetables on top of the beef. This burger was the neglected child. This burger further solidified my opinion of McDonald's being the superior fast food chain. After the burger, nothing could quench my displeasure. Somehow the Sprite tasted watered down and the fries tasted over-salted. I felt gross that I wolfed all of that down and kept it down. The lack of leadership and management made it the worst serving fast food restaurant I had ever been to. In addition, the dry meat, ugly presentation, and overall unpleasantness of my meal caused it to be the worst food I had ever eaten at a restaurant. This place is absolute filth. I live in Carrboro, so I've been here a few times and EVERY SINGLE TIME I've been, I've had to pull forward and wait for my food to come out for at least 15 minutes. It would be understandable if this was a busy place, but they never have your food ready at the window even when there are no other customers. Plus, after having to wait forever, my food has always been cold and stale. The inside of the restaurant is filthy, the food is never fresh, and all of the employees I've encountered, including the manager, are ridiculously rude and incompetent. Ok I was thoroughly enchanted yet captivated by the fact that this particular chain after the sun sets.. purely transforms into something far more convenient and affordable. In just but a blink of an eye. I am going to give this place a full 5 stars due to friendly service of staff, as well as the best part.... after the sun sets, 55 cent cheeseburgers.
