Last Wednesday, I had completed my usual stops at ZeeV's Nutrition Studio and Circle K after work…read more I love how they are a block away from each other, which makes my run easy. I found out that Harvey's has a deal with its original beef and veggie burgers. You can get two for $8. If you want to mix and match them, it all works. I had no idea where the nearest Harvey's was from the borders of Toronto, Scarborough, and Markham. I did a search and realized that there's this one further south on Victoria Park, before you hit highway 401. It's funny. I have blown past this location many times. I've never stopped by. I also knew that there was an Chinese grocery store in the same plaza. Here's to another cool stop at two stores that I needed. The drive down was smooth. It took perhaps ten minutes. I had to make a left turn into the plaza. It took a bit of time, but I eventually made a safe turn. I did grocery shopping first. I had backed into a spot that directly faced the drive-thru, steps away from the grocery store's entrance. When I was done, I simply drove straight ahead to place my order at the drive-thru. I had a nice woman on the other end taking my order. I ordered two original beef burgers. I went with my standard toppings on both: lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, and relish. She was so friendly. There was a bit of a wait, but I didn't mind. This Harvey's is also a Swiss Chalet. Excellent! I was drooling looking at the poutine on the menu. I love poutine. Harvey's does poutine well. I paid with a debit card. The woman had the payment machine taped to a hockey stick. Love! The transaction was smooth. I wonder if that hockey stick is ever used on deadbeat customers who don't pay. Hmm... I got my food in a paper bag. I thanked her and left. When I got home, I had my food. I loved the original burger. It was the right size. The flame-broiled beef patty was yummy. The toppings were perfect. I was a bit rusty and realized that my usual mayo is garlic mayo. These burgers hit the spot for dinner. The next day, I returned for the same deal. Yep, I was back less than 24 hours later. Instead, I got original and veggie burgers. With the latter, you have the option of getting a regular or multigrain bun. I had never had the multigrain bun before, so I chose it. The veggie burger is pretty good here. It tastes like a regular beef patty. It wasn't dry. It had good flavour. I'd do it again. The multigrain bun made me feel like I was eating healthier... haha! I went with garlic mayo, along with lettuce, tomatoes, and relish. Both burgers tasted much better. Garlic is everything. I dig this Harvey's. I need to get poutine next time, but I keep dreaming about this burger deal. Maybe when it's gone, I'll get the poutine. The woman who took my order during my second visit as equally as pleasant and nice as the woman from the previous night. Staff are awesome. I appreciated it. I'll be back. I'll try to not eat here every day. (13)

I spotted this Burger King restaurant in the same plaza as COBS Bread and Scotiabank. I felt like grabbing some food here for dinner. I had placing a takeout order in mind. I needed to use the washroom. I parked fairly close to the drive-thru entrance and walked over to the eatery. I entered the door. The washrooms are conveniently on the left when you walk in. The women's washroom was clean. There were a couple of stalls. The one that I used was in decent shape. This eatery has a few self-serve kiosks to place your order. The order counter was fairly busy with customers waiting for their food. I decided to head to my car and place an order online through Burger King's online site. It was nice to check out deals and place my order in the comfort of my car. I got the classic chicken sandwich as a combo. I got fries and a medium Diet Coke as part of this combo. I got an estimated time when my order would be ready. I was so close to the drive-thru entrance that I didn't have enough room to enter it in one shot. I ended up parking at another spot, which would allow me to enter the drive-thru without ruining my car once my order was ready. There were two cars ahead of mine when I did hit the drive-thru. The line moved quickly. I let the woman know at the order area that I had an order in my name. She found my order and said that I could drive up. This woman was friendly and nice. I got her at the window. She handed me my drink and food. I thanked her, put my food in an insulated bag, and drove home. I love a classic chicken sandwich. It was yummy. The chicken was delicious with the mayo and lettuce. I loved the long sandwich bun. Yum! The fries are so much better these days. The potato skins are left on the tips of each fry. The fries were crispy and had the perfect amount of salt. My Diet Coke was yummy. It was cold and washed everything down. It's a decent Burger King. I'd return when I'm in the area. (202)

Looking for an affordable alternative to fast food breakfast? Burger King has been around since…read more1954. This location is located in a busy plaza which includes a grocery store and drug store. We had a 2 can dine breakfast coupon for $6.99. Can't find a better deal than that! The croissant was delicious and unlike the Big M chain, they did not make any cost cutting like smaller egg, sausage or croissant. The sausage was juicy and massive. The egg was the scramble style made in a round mold. The hashbrowns were bite size full of potato goodness. I don't usually big up fast food but this one hit the spot. The dining room is modern, clean and spacious. This location did go through a brand refresh to make it look more appealing. Overall I would recommend this place and if you get the coupons in the mail then don't forget to bring them. You can also order from their app and there are coupon offers in the app.

Facilities were clean and plenty of seating, especially for groups. Produce was fresh and tasty, everything was prepared to order and was hot, but the quality of the meat was not there for me. I believe I ordered an angus double and the meat felt very farce-y, more like a sausage than ground beef. Real gas station texture, to be perfectly honest. Also my first time trying poutine - the gravy was okay, salt is the main flavor profile, and the cheese didn't have that "squeak" everyone talks about. That didn't stop my sister and I from inhaling it, though. Decent enough to get the job done, I'll be trying other items if I get a chance to return.

This A&W is understaffed imo…read more The worker at the front of the house that I asked my orders from was nice enough but you could tell that they were slammed for orders. I find that the root beer quality is highly inconsistent depending on the franchise location. For example, the Sheppard and Birchmount A&W location has some of the best root beer in the GTA. They serve you the root beer in CHILLED glasses and the root beer is also very fizzy. Perhaps it was because this A&W is part of the food court? The burger patties could've also been hotter when biting into them. I must echo what one other reviewer said about the temperature. Also, while the sides tasted good, the sweet potato fries should've been in the fryer longer (a lot of them were limp and not crispy). The onion rings were also not battered well. The coating was basically flaking off of each piece when I picked them up. I'm still gonna come back to this A&W for the $2 mobile app order (teen/mozza burgers) on Maple Leaf game days, but if I was really craving A&W it wouldn't be at this location.

We found this A&W in a strip mall that contained a lot of open late restos. This particular A&W is a lot bigger than most of the ones I've been to. I forgot how amazing grass-fed beef tastes and how pleasant the overall quality of the meals are. I got an uncle bacon cheddar burger (comes with a 5 oz patty) with a side of sweet potato fries, spicy mayo and OF COURSE you know I had to go with A&W root beer. Fries were really crispy, lettuce and tomatoes really fresh. Very, very solid. The night shift worker was really nice and I could see him being kind to several homeless peeps who came in and needed to warm up. I don't go to A&W often but whenever I do, it always surprises me how good the quality of the food is for a fast food chain. Wish I could purchase one of those A&W mugs. Drinking root beer out of those actually hits different (as silly as it sounds). Idk if they rim the glass with ice before they workers take them out the fridge? (you can see lil bits of ice floaties in your root beer as you sip, I can't explain it).

After work last Wednesday, I paid this eatery a visit for an early dinner. I had no problem finding this eatery and a parking spot. I backed into a spot close to the main doors and headed inside. I had already placed my order through the app and got the following: - Whopper - Half-sies - Medium Diet Coke - Strawberry sundae It was Whopper Wednesday, which meant that my combo was $8.49 before taxes. Yay! I used the women's washroom. It was clean. I used it again before I headed home. I liked that the sink area had a large surface to put my drink down. I headed to the pickup counter. It was busy at around 3 pm. Customers were polite, but a bit awkward. A young woman said sorry when she needed ketchup and wanted to grab some. Probably saying excuse me would have been better. She didn't need to be sorry for anything. Then, there was an older gentleman who used excuse me correctly. I think he wanted to grab a drink from the fountain drink machine. Another man was standing nearby, but wasn't blocking access to the machine. It was different. I waited patiently for my order. I saw a nice man make my strawberry sundae and then put my entire order into a paper bag. He also gave me my cup for the fountain drink. I filled it up with Diet Coke. I went back for a refill midway through my meal. I thanked him. I grabbed my paper bag, drink, and sundae, and found a table to sit down and eat. The purple upholstery in my booth had seen better days. I loved the colour so much. I had my sundae first, which seems to be a habit that I have at BK. In the past, I'd have my meal and then the sundae. The problem was that the sundae melts. It's better to enjoy it first. It's my favourite sundae. I loved the strawberry chunks and the sauce on top of the soft serve. It was enjoyable mixing everything together. It was cold, but soft and yummy. My Whopper was delicious. I remembered to say no to the onions when I customized my burger online. It hit the spot. I got half-sies. I love getting some fries and some onion rings. It's the best combination. The fries and onion rings were perfect. I sat by the window. I realized that I was looking at the drive-thru. It looked like I was in the forest with all the trees. It was a nice escape.
