There's a veritable plethora of takeaways available to the discerning drunkard after a long night dancing to the latest beats on Broad Street. One of those options is the pleasingly onomatopoeically named Burger Bite, specialising in, you guessed it, burgers, but also do the usual takeaway fodder, kebabs, chicken, chips, etc. There's so many takeaways in such a compressed location that you really will be spoilt for choice, but, in my opinion, if it's a kebab you're after, you can do a lot worse than Burger Bite. The cleave the donner and chicken meat off a rotating spit, the way kebabs are supposed to be, rather than producing the meat from some unknown area, which I always find a bit disconcerting. You can get your hands on one of these authentic kebabs, along with chips and a drink, for just £5.50. As with many of the other takeaways close by (although notably not the excellent Bella Pizza), there's next to no seating, so plan ahead and have a friend on taxi-securing duty while you get your food to maximise heat for when you're home. read more
