Between the lines of first day back and traffic around to school, I was 12 minutes late for my appointment. They promptly told me they wanted to reschedule. I was only there for prescription refills. It would have been a "sit in the office, small talk for a few minutes" apointment... and "here's your prescription refills". I'm on blood pressure medication and just need a refill and they don't care because I didn't call while I was driving through school zones to get to the doctors office. I have a job and kids and they have no problem making me wait for 10 to 15 minutes, but heaven forbid they wait for you for a few minutes. I'll be finding a new doctor that cares.

Before I can go in, she says "I'm sorry, for safety reasons, your kid is not allowed inside". The front desk lady, also NOT wearing a mask, echoed what she said. I told her, I had mentioned on the phone that I'm bringing in my son because I don't have a sitter and she never said anything! I kid you not, I was fuming right on the get go! I told them to cancel my appointment then and I stormed back in my car. Then I realized, I haven't made my point just yet. So, I walked back up to the front door, opened it and pointed at the front desk lady and said "Oh, by the way, YOU'RE NOT WEARING A MASK EITHER!" As a scientist that doesn't believe in the efficacy of masks, I wear them out of respect. BUT, this business just showed me how utterly HYPOCRITICAL they are!!

Apparently the media department follows up on these reviews which I appreciate. Here's what happened with this specific obsteteician. She did not tell me in initial ultrasound I was carrying twins. I didn't find out until I miscarried several weeks later. Now she's telling these people I'm lying and she did tell me. I'm just in "emotional distress". Now I'm irate. This Clinic just accused me of lying about an experience both me and my husband had there. Nope. I wasn't alone, I have an actual witness. If you want a COMPETANT OB then this isn't the place for you. Any experience you have will have the blame placed solely on your shoulders. Avoid it at all costs especially Joi Findley-Smith. Absolute shit human.

I ended up having an infection and had to have TWO antibiotics to clear the infection up. Of course this was after I finished radiation because he would never look at my breast and I did not get the antibiotics from him. I got my antibiotics from my oncologist and my PCP. That is how bad my breast was. I would see Dr. Patel once a week. I tried to tell him what I am feeling on my breast and what it looks like. I would ask him if he wanted to see it he would say no it's just normal. That's all he would ever say it's normal once a week I asked him do you want to look at my breast to see what it looks like he said no it's normal. It was NOT normal. As a matter of fact, he had a reputation of being called the 30 second doctor with the women that would see him. There is another woman her breast was also infected. He would tell her the same thing it's normal and he would never look at her breast either. When I showed my breast to my oncologist at Memorial Hermann she was appalled. She said in over 20 years she has never seen anything like this. My PCP couldn't believe it either. I would not wish this type of pain on my worst enemy and the crying trying to put the anabiotic on the breast when it was hurting so bad I was in tears please do not go here and if you already are then good luck.
