How privileged we are to be able to learn about Korean culture by highly qualified Korean…read moreinstructors from Korea sponsored by King Sejong Institute and the South Korean government -- and additional sponsor, Nongshim. Today I learned about the history, style, lore, importance of the beoseon. I had no idea! After the lesson (lectured in Korean and English), we had the opportunity to practice writing Korean on our beoseon with our black calligraphy pens and cutting out the shape of the beoseon. We then transitioned to sewing our beoseon pattern pouch. I learned that the pouch is significant because it stores the pattern from which your beoseons are made. For example, in olden days, part of a bride's preparation was to make 100 beoseons and bring them to her new family's home. Typically, she would gift each adult in that household 10 beoseons each. Today's experience made me once again appreciate my Korean heritage and fanned a desire in me to learn more. I look forward to more education and making of memories at this fine institution and program. (Note, I was ambitious today. I took back to back classes. The 2nd class was about the ear-shaped pouch. It is a simple but elegant, traditional, and practical pouch to carry money, ID, tobacco, etc.). Two thumbs way up for both classes today. The lecturer was top notch and passionate about her topic, and the staff on site were all welcoming and helpful. I hope to experience more with this group! #2025SejongCultureAcademy #KingSejongInstituteFoundation #KoreanCulture

When learning a new language, it should be fun and exciting. I looked into Language Door and found our forever home. First, the owner Natascha is fantastic. She's multi lingual and very hands on. She loves what she does and it shows with all the students. She knows what teachers would be best for certain students. Second, I love love love Susan and Lupe who work as administrators. Susan is Hungarian and speaks so many languages, I can't keep track. She's kind, a world of knowledge and gives the best hugs. Lupe is smart, multi lingual and wonderful! Every student who walks in is greeted in the language they're learning. There are adults and kids learning Japanese, Arabic, Spanish, etc. The teachers are worldly, my kids love their classes and can't wait to go to school even on Saturday's. While I'm waiting for my kids I get to speak with all the parents who are lovely. Walking in I feel transported to an international setting where people are open minded, multi cultural and inclusive. I wouldn't hesitate making the call! Thanks Language Door for embracing the love of language!

What really makes this place stand out (and believe me I did my research) is that if you want to take a foreign language class with them you can sit in on a few classes before you decide to sign up for the new start date. The owner, Natascha is also extremely attentive and you can tell she loves what she does and goes the extra mile for her students and teachers. I am quite impressed with the level of service provided and it was more than worth it for the price! I plan to sign up for German & Arabic courses shortly after my Advanced Spanish course commences.

Updating my prior reviews - my 2 kids are enrolled in Suebeet's weekly group children's class…read more They just finished up their first term of classes and it has been a great experience. They are young (4 and 5), and did not previously have any experience in online classes and things have gone very well. They can now recite and write the vowels and first consonants in Korean. Most importantly though, learning a new skill or language for young kids (or anyone) can be intimidating, and they enjoy the classes. She creates a fun environment that is enjoyable and relaxed for kids to learn. In addition, the textbooks she has written are very easy to follow and organized and are great resources for learners. Thank you and look forward to future terms.

In my opinion, TFPC is considered one of the biggest Korean churches in southern California. I don't think you should worry about parkings for your guests. Just worry about flower arrangements and catering... The ideal size of the wedding can be ranging from 100-400 guests. The church has a cafeteria with a full kitchen right next to the main sanctuary. Whenever I was here, the cafeteria served as a wedding reception area. The Bride's waiting/dressing room is the small room right behind the main sanctuary. I think this room is reserved for the church goers with small children on sundays. There's a huge viewing window between the sanctuary and this room. There are some photo spots around the church for the B&G and the wedding party. However, as a photographer, you should find the best angles to avoid houses or not-so-good looking backdrops near the church. In sizewise, the church offers flexibility but in appealing and beauty aspects, you have to work little harder. Perhaps, investing in flower arrangements can be helpful, but what can be worth more investing is hiring a photographer with a positive and unique eyes to turn any places into more beautiful and appealing places..!!! (Please look at the photos I posted..~)

He provides fun, meaningful anecdotes to augment his messages and his humor is innocently kind of corny which makes it very funny. The messages are spoken with a caring and gentle authority and always fill the pages of my little Moleskine. The worship is pretty good. It's not a rock concert which can be very uplifting, but they are very sincere and the music selection is contemporary. They serve lunch after, so you can mingle with people. They're all nice. We're on the topic of spiritual gifts; some people are more hospitable than others, but you get that everywhere. At any rate, it's a warm environment. I've been to a few other Korean churches but in Seattle, not that they were bad, but this one feels the least cliquey. In fact I've had very good experiences at the other Korean churches (I'm not Korean), but this one feels young but with mature leadership. It has a lot of promise. I've been looking for a church for like... six years. Churches ranging from 400 to 2000 people, I like this smaller one the best. What else... they have their own parking lot. The kids are super cute. They participate in a pretty cool homeless feed on Skid Row once a month. I'm from Seattle. Been to Hyung jae, ANCC/Onnuri, Lighthouse CC in Bellevue, Overlake CC, Mars Hill. Antioch CC (the Korean one). In LA I was going to The Oasis in Hollywood.
