Hey, yo. I like this place. Not fancy shmancy at all, but just off Lake St Clair and these are my people. I primarily go for karaoke and the sound is good and you can usually get quite a few songs in where as some other places you might have to hang out all night just to get a couple in. They have a couple pool tables so you got that going for you. Doesn't seem to be a real active kitchen but there is one so you can get something if you want a bite. Like I said, for me it's the karaoke and the local crowd. You got it right, it's called Buoy12 because it's near 12 mile and Jefferson right near the water. Had the buoy dog . It was wrapped in bacon and deep fried with onion and Steve's sweet relish. It came with a side of potato salad and baked beans. Came here for the first time last Saturday at 8pm. Figured we would give it a try while seeing it on Groupon. Was given one menu by the waitress at 8:15pm for us to share and was quickly told that the kitchen closes at 9pm. We ordered our dinners as a party of 10 arrived. I also ordered a grilled chicken salad as a carry out when we ordered our dinner. I Ordered a NY strip steak and it was mediocre at best. Was made on a regular flat grill and didn't have much of any flavor. I wanted to remind the waitress of my carry out, but she got too busy with the party of 10. She didn't come back until just after 9pm which I then reminded her about the salad I ordered and the look on her face told me she forgot. Sure enough she did and then 5 minutes later proceeded to tell me that the cook wasn't going to make the salad. So I then have to get a carry out dinner to bring home to my daughter from somewhere else. Also, $5 for a bottled beer for a hole in the wall???? I bought a Groupon for this place, it was the biggest mistake I ever made. I went there twice trying to use it but I had no success the first time I went and they said the kitchen was closed at about 8pm..??? So I went earlier a couple days later and I was given a menu and the waitress/bartender never came back I waited for about 10 minutes. I guess I didn't have the right paint job to receive service which I should've figured since the way everyone was staring at me so I left and cashed in my Groupon. Asked the server to let the cook know to prevent someone else from getting plastic, but she laughed it off. Kept messing up drinks each time we ordered another round. This is a happy little place. Popped in on a whim for a beer on a Sunday afternoon, wasn't overly busy but all the other patrons appeared to know each other and were extremely friendly. Staff were just as friendly. It has a wonderful laid back feel to it. Yikes, the best part about this visit was the bike ride there, and leaving within a minute. We walk in at dinner time (5 PM), with no one in the restaurant area, and 3/4 of the bar seats full. No one would even look up at us except for a couple customers at the bar, the bar staff seemed preoccupied. We waited a minute with no one acknowledging our presence, and decided to leave because we didn't get a good vibe; the music was too loud and half the building dark. My husband thought a band was performing. We probably won't visit again. It would've been nice if somebody would've greeted us at least acknowledged us, or said I'll be with you in a moment. I ordered a drink and asked for $5 worth of quarters. I wanted to play pinball, which was the only reason I came here. Went on a Wednesday night and the DJ played pretty foul-mouthed rap music. Also, the Chicken quesadillas were small and dry-tasting. You'd think the DJ would mix it up a little, but had to ask for something different every time to get away from his pre-programmed lousy rap. Some of the customers at the bar were loud and foul-mouthed also. Like really loud and offensive.
