Currently one of thirteen Johnny Rocket's branded burger and shake stands on Royal Caribbean boats,…read morethe Johnny Rockets on the Navigator of the Seas/Royal Caribbean is located on the main pool deck. The partnership began in 2007, and continues today. Our location is located outdoors, opposite to the El loco Fresh mexican cantina. It is an a la carte menu, very focused on burgers, fries and shakes. I've never tried a burger from them on a ship, but decided to try an ice cream shake (since it's not offered at any of the complementary eating places). We were on a back to back cruise on the Navigator, so once we were back on the boat, waited till 11 am (when they opened) to get two shakes (oreo and strawberry). Normally $5.50 (non-alcoholic), any previous sailing customer (i.e. someone with at least one previous sailing on RC) will get two 50% 'coupons' for a shake. Everything onboard automatically gets charged a 18% gratuity, so total for each shake was $3.54 (including the LA tax since I got it while in port). Like everything else here, it gets charged to the room, being settled up right after we disembark. The shakes were handmade, using soft serve vanilla ice cream as the base. Oreo crumbles or strawberry syrup was added along with milk, to make a pretty decent shake. Enjoying it right now while writing this review when I still have cell service before we head back to Mexico.

Okay ! I have been avoiding this place because I loved Spiros ! BUT I ordered it via Uber Eats…read moretoday. I got the burrito with all the meats but requested not to have ham and if I could replace it with either asada or chorizo and to my surprised they did !!!!...okay this is an extreme honest review ! Because I love breakfast burritos and because I truly think this place can have one of the best Bfast burritos if they work on some things...let me start of with the green salsa, honestly sucks ! Very bland, almost watered down (easy fix) ... the burrito was good but a little disappointing in a weird way !!!!, Listen !!!! Oddly enough it had asada trough every bite ! Plenty of sausage and bacon cooked to perfection ! But even though it didn't lack protein for some reason it was still not "packed"...trust me I'm confused as well ! "How can it have plenty of protein/meats but still be empty or soggy?" ... I have no clue ? But I'm not bashing it ! I truly think if they figure out how to pack it in better, maybe more egg and potatos? (Be careful because too much potato can kill it) ... also do not be afraid to season the eggs and potato's....a 10/10 breakfast burritos is usually packed ! When you hold it there's no flop or empty hollow tortilla.... I want to highlight again I'm not bashing it !!! It is a good burrito but can be worked on if you want it to be "top breakfast burrito in the southbay"... I give it a 7.7/10 at the moment ! Once they can Jam Pack it like ALL great breakfast burritos and work on their salsa I can see people traveling all over the southbay for this, also don't be afraid of seasoning! I know it's risky because some cooks over do it. Over all the hate for classics do to spiros legacy is not valid to me! This place was good and the fact they replaced the ham with asada shows they care. Hopefully this review didn't come off as hate because it's the complete opposite! I truly think this can be an amazing breakfast burrito !

The chicken was all cut up not a whole chicken breast which I should have seen as a red flag. But I tried to enjoy it, thinking positive and enjoy my night. I finished the beer and ordered a small beer but I started feeling really dizzy during this time. And not from drinking. If you've ever been roofied you know this exact feeling. Things are moving slower. You're spinning. You don't have full control. And you could pass out at any second. Thankfully I got home but it continued in a shower I took to try and wake up, but that didn't work. On my sofa I passed out. And woke up the next day still not feeling good. Still needing to lay down and needing more sleep. Another night passed where I slept early. Like I was knocked out. And today, Friday I finally felt like it was all out of my system. And this all happened because I went to Slip. This is not a fluke. It was not an accident. It happened to me and it can happen to you too. It can happen anywhere maybe, or maybe not. But what's for sure is it happened to me there. If you're with Slip and you're reading this, do not try and make me an offer to return. I won't. Ever.

Not because it was featured on a news segment, or something similar, but because I saw it on an episode of Monk. It was used as a background prop. Funny what writing helps you remember, and hopefully what you remember is good stuff. Before I stepped into this bar, I expected it to be a Diver bar, in the grittiest sense, but I was wrong, it is a Dive bar in the most exciting of ways: It is a collection of tchotchkes (a fancy word for trinkets) that when admired as a whole and then independently give this place a whimsical personality. Imagine having a friend that when invited to a pool party wears a bikini with a fun print--- like cherries or flamingos, and is always down for a shot and playful mayhem. Being around this type of personality amps up the party soul of a moment because their vibe is that of a buzz-nurturer. Meaning that when I was in the bar, and all it has to offer, made me want to have a good time, regardless of what I carried in from the outside. The place gives immediate Tiki Bar vibes but does not carry the moment to full fruition. For example, in my pictures I show curtains with Tiki Idols, and a light fixture adorn with its own hula skirt but the Tiki motif does not transport one to a Luau where dancers sway as they wait for a pig to finish roasting. Instead, the Tiki vibes are sharply contrasted with posters and other keepsakes that are both aspiration and life lessons. For instance, one reminds us to leave your drama outside. Another hanging placard lists advisories that (straight) men should adhere when hitting on women. One of these is the fact that some women's sexual preference is NO. Another poster explains what happens when girls drink too much. One of the 10 outcomes is that women confuse the kitchen floor for their mattress when laying down. Like I said, all of these small and bigger touches combine to give this place a personality that draws one to have a good time. For me, there were two standout items in the place- 1) a jukebox and a 2) pool table. I was with three people that played pool better than me. One of them explained the purpose of a chalk mound. One is suppose to rub the place between their thumb and index finger to get chalk right in there. Then rub the chalk on the stick. This will create less friction which will help you shoot better. I did all that. This moment also allowed me and another member of my group to have a lot of hard wood jokes-- what are you going to do, we were having a good time at this place, and these jokes felt right. The jukebox was also free. I played Ariana Grande's version of Popular from Wicked and I felt the song. I was warbling loudly, and off key, and dancing because I was feeling the tune and the drinks. At the end, some of the people in the bar clapped and hollered. I went to put in another song I was stopped, the regulars were watching football on a Sunday, go figure. That is the thing about this bar, it is a regular's bar. People knew each other, people knew I was the first timer. Like when I spoke, two or three people answered my question. When I was looking for the key a customer directed me to it. So this place is definitely a place where regulars are at. And if you know anything about dive bar culture, regulars who know each other make a community. So you will need to navigate these dynamics if you attend. For instance, one of my friends was in the bathroom, doing the business of two. A regular opened the door and my friend was like, I am here, closed the door. The regular did not close the door, instead he made a joke about leaving the door just a bit open, while being a bro about it. I was horrified just being a witness. But between bar flies these type of jokes might be understood as joyful. But it would take me an alternate life to find humor in potty politics. I was introduced to the White Tea shot and it has become my new shot so this place left a mark on my taste buds. The shot at the end had this strong green tea taste. The prices were right too! I can't wait to go here again, when the party vibe calls me forth! Oh and it is cash only, unless you spend 40 and above then it is card appropriate.
