I heard angels singing in Spanish and they were harmonizing with the sizzle from the grill. Service was FAST, kind, and genuinely happy to see us, which is rare in 2026. Before going in, I read some Yelp reviews and they were on point. The ambiance is clean, decorated, inviting, with soft lighting. The cashier and cook were quiet but nice. Not shouting or overly excited to chat me up. He was soft spoken, cautiously shy, but nice. Once he realized that I was cool and knew what I wanted, his serious face softened and he opened up. The cook easily smiled. There's no music, just sizzling sounds from the grill. There's a funny message on the bathroom floor the sink needs updating and it needs a nice soap dispenser with quality soap. Other the that, the place is nice. Would be a spot to go on a date. The vibe is grown and sexy, not kiddish like other burger joints. So don't expect crayons on the table and high chairs. Now to the food. I ordered the Chicken Over Rice platter. They plated it quickly. It camed with fresh salad, pita bread, and a few French fries on top . They covered everything with their delicious white sauce. I asked to have the hot sauce on the side bcz I wasn't sure how hot it was. I like spicy but some hot sauces can ruin the dish. Their sauce wasn't too hot, but I'm glad I got it on the side. The chicken was moist, flavorful, well seasoned, marinated, and lightly grilled. Everything was fresh, moist, and piping hot. I could tell the meat was halal bcz it had a fresh chickeny taste. If you know, you know. I ordered extra pita bread. The platter comes with 2 pieces but the extra comes with 4. I'm so full! I took half my platter to go with 3/4 of the extra pita bread. I'll save it for dinner. The platters come with a full tray. If you come for lunch, you'll be stuffed probably sleepy like I am rn. Take the rest home. If you come here starving, you'll leave full and satisfied. I only paid $12 plus $1.50 for extra pita bread. That's a steal in this economy! I hope they don't increase the prices after reading this. Walking in revealed a surprise -- a casual and cozy interior with no hint of what automotive mayhem might be happening on the other side of the kitchen wall. The menu was bilingual and there was a board with the daily specials of the week. Thursday is costillo de puerco en salsa verde -- pork ribs in green sauce. I didn't see the sign before ordering, but even if I had, I wanted tacos. My one complaint is that all the prices on the boards are taped over. They must be redoing the pricing. I asked the woman behind the register and she confirmed the taco price: $3.75 each. I ordered 1 carne asada and 1 al pastor. The order took some time, but I could hear the sound of metal spatulas clanging against the griddle as the meat was being cooked. The tacos arrived unadorned. But that's what the salsa bar is for! It had a wide variety of accoutrements including cilantro, pico de gallo, white onions, cucumbers, red radishes, 3 salsas, and some type of escabeche. After garnishing my tacos, I took a closer look. Instead of the standard two (or even one, at some lesser establishments) corn tortillas pulled from a steamer, these tacos came with an obviously handmade one of slightly thicker stock. It was light, soft, and a bit fragile, but it did a fine job -- a welcome change from the standard pre-made ones. The flavor on each of the tacos was great. A bit salty, but with the right garnish and a little lime juice to cut in, they ended up delicious. I didn't order a drink, but they did have a selection of 3 aguas frescas which I'll probably order the next time I'm back. I'll have to find a reason to drive out to Bristow again, and it might be a Tuesday to get my fix for multiple $2.00 Taco Tuesday tacos al pastor.

We weren't greeted or told to get out when we were hovering by the entrance so we were just kinda standing in a gray zone of what should we do.
