One star might be too generous. The first bit of my time living here started off well. It became obvious that management was pretty indifferent about a lot of things when it came to actually maintaining the place (so many maintenance requests, they need to stop 'fixing' and start replacing) and caring for their tenants.
COVID-19 showed what they were really all about. They started ignoring all of their tenants and even went as far as both shutting off their office phone and set up an automated email reply system, so as to pretty much not have to deal with their 200 or so residents here, as opposed to quickly giving more information out about how our contracts would be affected. They kept us in the dark until they decided to give everyone generalized options for what to do with next semester's contracts. What option did they favour most? The one that gives them the most money of course. They wanted us to look for people to buy our contracts, in a time when coming into Rexburg was already pointless, but also discouraged, and now practically illegal due to stay at home orders. They gave us the option to 'transfer' (which is where in the contract, meaning they shouldn't hide behind their untouchable contract, because clearly it is a changeable one) our contract to another renting period for the outrageous price of half of a semester's rent. Though they tried to justify the price, for starters, this complex is old enough to have paid itself off by now. Everyone has taken an economic hit, especially those that own property. The group of people who own this complex want to overlook that and get ahead while everyone is losing money. Moldy, humid, old, falling apart trashy apartment complex. If you choose to live here, pray that management doesn't find a reason to charge you for random things. Dont @ me read more
