Beyond disappointed in their work. They left the whole house in a mess. Sawdust everywhere and I mean everywhere. Had to ask them to straighten out the door handles they just installed. Found parts not used in the garbage (just because I am not using them doesn't mean you should toss them). They scratched the paint on the doors, need to get these fixed now. Used our automatic toilet and now the seat cover is broken. They proceed to give themselves a 20% service fee on top of the $685 they charged me. I would avoid this place. read more

They are not on Bundy anymore. They are not on Sawtelle anymore. The business info map on Yelp sends you to Sawtelle. BLS moved some months ago. The facility is much nicer and bigger than before. However, in my experience, professionalism has not yet fully made the move. I needed keys copied. Handed them to one guy who began the job. He then called over another guy to finish making the keys. Odd, I thought, but whatever. The other guy finished and the copies were then brought to me. One of the keys they copied is not a key I asked them to copy. So I have three extra keys of a key that isn't mine. Plus, a key that still needs to be copied. I didn't realize any of this, of course until later, when I was trying to use it. Another of the keys, a mailbox key, doesn't work very well. I never had trouble with my mailbox before, but now, it sticks. Sometimes it won't open. If there are more than a couple of letters in the box, I cannot even open the mailbox at all. I prefer going to a local business for goods and services. Yes, I know even some national chain convenience stores make keys. I am not looking to support them. However, I'm very disappointed by the work of Bundy Lock and Safe in the Fall of 2022. read more

Bundy's Lock and Safe is a long-standing go-to business for all things related to locks, keys, and basic home security. When I was a boy, my dad would bring me to the old location on Sawtelle, carrying a bag full of locks from our family-owned apartment building to be re-keyed. I've been a regular customer for years. Bundy Lock and Safe sent a locksmith to my house in west LA when we first moved in. He masterfully got every door in the house (exterior and interior) working beautifully. I will not forget watching him work. He was so nice, very patient, highly skilled. Showed me many little things. More recently, I had a broken Schlage keypad lock. Brought it in. Met Max, who started by mounting the lock on a simulated "mini door" in the work area. He tried a few things and got the lock working. Plus he graciously taught me a few things about the mechanism. Then he re-keyed the lock for me. Total cost: $20. While I was at the store, several people came in, including a property manager with many locks to be re-keyed, and another guy whose massive exterior lock had been damaged during a break in. The staff took care of everyone in a capable and professional manner. This is a really friendly place where you can see skilled experts at work. Much respect. read more

The worst customer service. They made keys that did not work and instead of remaking the keys, they were really rude and failed to correct their error. Will never do business here again. Always prompt and professional. The locksmith's have been so friendly and helpful at every Avenue. Today I couldn't get a new lock off the gate and the Police needed access. Bundy Lock and Key is my HERO! They didn't have a locksmith available immediately so they sent someone from their shop to cut off the lock so the police could get access. WHAT AMAZING SERVICE!!!!! Then the police were able to cut the lock off and I called back to tell them we got the problem solved. I told them to send me a bill because they were on their way. They told me "no charge!" This place is on PICO BLVD, not BUNDY. Why can't the business force Yelp/Google to update this? They have the power. And they have the choice. Other than that, friendly fast service.
