Found this gem while on a random walk in the MVT area. The park is between a soccer field and a middle school. The brief of this place: *has fake grass ( a plus) * it's size of the park is as long as a soccer field but as wide as a van ( good for running up and down for the dog) * there are two doody caddies on sight ( a plus) * of the 5 times we have been here the dogs and owners are very friendly **there's a storage bin that most owners just sit on, but inside is donated jugs of water for the pups to drink Overall, a nice dog park.

    No one here weekdays

My boyfriend didn't want me to review this because he doesn't want people knowing about this place, but it's hands down the best dog park in DC. It's a long stretch of turf, the width of a football field, yes it is actually on a football field, and there is so much room for gods to run. The place is really well kept, it's always keep and well stocked with bags. I love this dog park...that being said it's the owns that make this place not fun. Our dog was scratched badly by a persistent dog and we left, but still had no idea which owner had that dog. Many dogs have been too aggressive and the owners just sit back and relax.

This is our go to dog park. Friendly dogs and humans! The turf provides a clean place for our pups to play! Everyone pitches in as it is privately funded. They do a lot of fun fundraising events in the neighborhood. I highly recommend taking you dog there - especially if they love fetch

NO separate area for small dogs. That's a dealbreaker for me.

After everything that has happened in the last year and moving to the area recently I found myself…read morea bit lonely and too into my own thoughts. I needed to find a place to give me an escape and some peace of mind. I needed to clear my head and just be out with people (which is rare for me, I usually don't like doing that alone). I was already out for the day and decided instead of doing the mundane thing of going home and sit by myself I would find a place to park and take a stroll in a park. Unluckily for me, I chose to do this on one of the busiest days for the parks in the DC area. I decided during the hype of Cherry Blossom Festival I needed to go to a park. I'll be honest, I cussed myself out several times because of this, but mostly because I couldn't find anywhere to park. I circled (very big circles, if you know what I mean) until I found a spot. I ended up a few blocks up, but was able to get here with a short walk. Once here, it was a wonderland to walk through, or maybe I was thinking that I was playing Animal Crossing in real life with the cherry blossoms constantly falling around me...I didn't have my net. I will be honest with you. I stayed off the beaten path for a majority of this. It is less congested to walk about and you really get some really great pictures by doing so. You also have to duck out of the way of a lot of people's pictures too, but the walk was well worth it. I ended up walking for hours that day. Circling back and doing it all over again. It helped me clear my head and I did find my peace of mind. I honestly felt better after coming here. I don't know if it was the constant hum of everybody excited to get their insta pic, or if the vibe was just right for everyone. This is really a great place to escape just a little bit. In my near future I can see myself just coming here to chill out for a little bit. And how about that. This makes review no.: 3,000 Wow!

There is a lot of metered street parking available for the park. The park also borders the FDR memorial. The Potomac River an the Tidal Basin runs along the park. The park has many benches that look out to the water and there are about 5 or 6 baseball fields that are in the park, but none of them can be used for organized sports. There is also lots of open fields on the side of the park opposite the water. The park is beautiful and well maintained. It is always a very busy park, especially on nice days. There are joggers, walkers, bicyclists and dog walkers all through the park. Be careful walking because the bikers are on a mission and do not know that pedestrians have the right of way. I really like this park. It has a lot going on and the Cherry Blossoms were in full bloom during my visit. It was gorgeous. If you are looking for a place to take a break during your aggressive DC sight seeing, this is the spot.

Folks tend to pick up after their dogs which leads me to... - Cleanliness: This park always is clean and poops are quickly bagged and thrown into the nearby available trash can. - Benches: There are a couple benches on either end of the park for folks to sit in - Well fenced in: Once the fence is secured shut, it is practically impossible for pups to escape this park. - Water-- There is a water bowl and faucet present. The faucet only works some of the time, so the bowl cannot always be filled, but when it is, that is a nice plus. Cons: - Lack of lights: I don't believe there are lights in this dog park, which would be nice to have, especially when the days are a bit shorter. - Gravel-y ground: The gravel-y texture texture of this park can really make your pup dirty, especially if he/she is prone to laying or rolling quite a bit. Any ball or toy you bring will also likely be very dirtied after leaving this park. I have two white dogs who always need to be cleaned or bathed after being brought here. They get even dirtier here after it rains. - Proximity to giant field: This dog park is next to a giant fenced in field, which I believe is used for athletics, and does not permit unleashed dogs. However, many people bring their dogs to the field instead of the park, because the field is much bigger. I think there is a temptation to just let your dogs run in the field, especially given the gravel-y makeup of the dog park, and the fact that the field is bigger and also fenced in.

The DC Cherry Blossom Bus Tour with Tidal Basin Guided Walk…read more I've been a resident of the DMV for 15 years and welcome the opportunity to show the highlights of D.C. when members of my family come for a visit. My sister Mary lives in Delaware and had long wanted to experience the color and drama of the Cherry Blossom Festival. These visits can be frustrating - we never really know when the blossoms will be in full bloom, and how long they'll be pretty and photogenic. This year (2026) was no different. The DC Cherry Blossom Tour, hosted by USA Guided Tours, was our go-to provider for this outing. After I ordered our tickets for a mid-week 10 a.m. four-hour tour, I received a prompt acknowledgement from TripAdvisor that the reservations were ready. I made the reservation just a few days earlier, so it was great to see the email that acknowledged our tickets and told us where to go to join the tour. The logistics involved in getting to the correct bus were easy: my sister and I showed up at the Navy Memorial, across the street from the National Archives (which is on the Yellow line Metro). A tour representative was already there and did a great job of getting us into the proper queue for our tour (USA Tours had four different tours departing that morning). The tickets were scanned and we were on our way, right on time. Highlights of the tour included walking through the cherry trees with abundant blossoms, photographers everywhere, and really pretty expressions of an early summer day in the District. We could see across the tidal basin to the impressive carved statue of Martin Luther King, Jr., which we headed to after spending the first walking excursion in the tidal basin and then the FDR Memorial. Our guide did an outstanding job of providing backstories and context to the places we visited, including the Lincoln Memorial, the World War II Memorial, and the Vietnam War Memoria. We had ample opportunities to stretch our legs, take free bottles of water, and use restroom facilities (as the bus did not have one on board). Both driver and guide handled their responsibilities very well, and we all had an excellent opportunity to see the blossoms. And, just as our guide had predicted, a severe thunderstorm rolled through the tidal basin later that day and wiped out 100 percent of the blossoms we enjoyed earlier that day. Luck of the draw!
