My early twenties son booked a tour with them about a week away from travel. We didn't do our Yelp research until something went wrong. I'm no doctor but this guy Sessel should be on meds or something. I needed to clarify some itinerary info for my son who was at work and couldn't make the calls. I called Yellowstone Tours, (Bundubasher.com), and when Sessel got on I told him we might get cut off in about three minutes because I was on a train, but that junior was a little confused about where he needed to be picked up for his tour. Sessel's bizarre, indignant and rude response? "Nope. There's no confusion." Click. I sat there stunned for the rest of the ride, and then headed into the tunnel where I lost service. Did what I think just happen really happen? When I regained service 90 seconds later, I called back thinking there had been some mistake. They picked up the phone and hung up on me! Then they wouldn't take my son's calls! I quickly checked them out on Yelp and boy did I get an eye opener. One unanimous star over multiple reviews? All mentioning Sessel's rude and nasty (and sometimes filthy), mouth? And they say NYers are rude?!?! Ha!! Never met one like this in my 49 years! I am a tour operator handles the International market over the world, and one of my client asked me if I can find her a 3 days tour from Salt Lake City to Yellowstone and back. I went online and did some researched and I found this company. Since I never deal with them, I called and asked many questions, and everything seem legit. Few days past by, and finally my client came back and asked me to book for her, I signed up the reservation online and waiting for their email confirmation. Once I received the email asking me for the credit card information. Something just hit me, and just to be sure, I went onto tripadvisor.com and yelp.com just to check on the reviews on this company. Oh..my god, I cannot believe all those negative reviews, and specially about the owner of this company. Now, I'm a fair guy, I always willing to give everyone a chance, and after reading all those negative reviews, in the back of my mind I would still 'MAYBE' giving them a try. If given a chance, I would give him NO star. I was just slammed by him with 4 letter words and replied email with words like idiot or stupid. I think he has changed the website to http://www.brycecanyontours.com. I was so lucky I did not pay for the trip first because my intuition told me just emailed to clarify first before making payment. I am very sure I wouldn't get my money back if things go wrong. One star is too high. We booked a family tour through Yellowstone months in advance. With elder parents, we wanted a family vacation, perhaps the last in Yellowstone to be special. Our group of 10 was scheduled for June 7th, on our sons 12th birthday. Bundu Tours (Yellowstone taxi) first booked the tour to start at 4:30 am! I emailed them back asking for a later pick for our group, around 7:00 am. They went back and fourth on how crowed the park would be any later in the morning. We finally agreed on 7:30 am for pick up. At 3:48 am on June 7th, I received an email stating that they were having issues with broken down vans giving all the mechanical issues of two vans in detail ending with they were canceling our tour. We had poor Wi-Fi service and I didn't' see the email. As we were all leaving to meet our tour, I received a text stating that I had a refund for the Yellowstone Taxi purchase. I sent a text and they said to check my email. Then they said they might have one of the vans fixed later that day but we could only take 9 of our party of 10 on the tour. We have done tours though Yellowstone in the past without issues, just not with BUNDU Tours. I had a bad feeling two days before when we drove to find where the company was located and where the pick up was.. I seen an old broke down yellow taxi van and an ran down motel at the location. I was looking for a Bryce and Zion Canyon tour to book for my cousin visiting from Japan. I apparently found Bundu Basher's company website, although it doesn't say Bundu Bashers anywhere in the webpage (most likely due to the bad review everywhere). https://brycecanyontours.com/index.htm I only found out who is running this website after receiving a strangely rude e-mail. Since the website states, "Not only is this the most popular Bryce Canyon tour, it is also the lowest cost, and the only one with departures every day! Please see the complete tour description." I assumed that they are running the tour everyday. I booked the tour on March 18th through the website and I thought I was done. Then I got the message saying that "Thank you for your order. We require a minimum of five people to operate this tour and there is no-one else has booked on your date. There is no way of knowing now if or when others may book. Our Bryce Canyon and Zion one day tour is available on March 19th, if you would like to change to that." I was annoyed however the message was polite enough so I wrote them back: "My cousin is not available on March 19th, how about 17th?" Then company replied in simple line: "What about it ?" I was surprised-because obviously I was inquiring about the trip, and based on their website description, I assumed that they suppose to have the tour everyday, so it's obvious that I was asking about whether they are running the tour on 17th or not. I was irritated however wrote a very nice e-mail describing that my cousin will be leaving on 19th, so cannot do the trip on 19th, however is available on 17th, so inquiring whether they are running the tour on 17th or not. The company didn't even reply, but simply sent the automated message: "Your trip had been canceled." To me, the company website was misrepresenting, and company communication and canceling the paid-trip without any apology were very rude. BUNDU BASHERS A SCAM DO NOT, absolutely do not book with this tour company. I wish I had done more research prior to booking with them. Had i read this thread on trip advisor, I would have steered far and clear. My parents and I have booked the one day trip to Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon on the day of arrival in Vegas (yesterday.) We received an email saying that the tour is unable to operate due to low numbers. Fine. We proceeded to plan other activities for that day. Today, we had received an email confirming that there is actually a tour that will happen. Surprised, of course, a phone call was made to the company in which I believe head honcho, Sessel (after reading past reviews) picked up. He immediately began yelling and calling my mom names such as "you are a bi*ch," a "liar," and that "you are wasting my time, and "can you not read emails??!" Then he hung up. A second email was sent almost immediately letting us know that they look forward to seeing us tomorrow. We called the bank and noticed that the credit card was billed. Twice. Upon investigation, MasterCard was unable to identify the name of the merchant, though the math all adds up and we are sure that it billing was from BUNDU BASHERS. We proceeded to call the company back to cancel our reservation, in addition to sending multiple emails.The company did not respond or call back the whole day. We had called about 20 times from two different cellphones. MasterCard was called again - this time - to report an investigation on this company as no confirmations were made on our end that we were good to go on this trip, and that the credit card was already charged. TWice. So in conclusion? Unfortunately, the best possible scenario for all of this wasted time and effort is that we hope MasterCard will cover the costs of this dispicable scam company through insurance. Please be warned. Call them and check out the customer service before you book- MAJOR red flag... So this is what happened: After reading all of the other one star reviews, I regret that we did not read them before booking with this company. Luckily, my traveling companion dodged a bullet by having a communication snafu. She had booked them but made an error in the booking. The company, probably Sessel wrote and abrupt e-mail informing her of the error, but did not say what she could do to rectify it. When someone from another country, non a native speaker receives such communication , there might be some misinformation. That said, my traveling companion showed up for what we thought would be a bus trip, but there was no bus. She was waiting for me in Las Vegas and had not idea why it was not there. She called the company and was met by, "didn't you receive our e-mail?" She confirmed that she did but did not understand it. Mr. Sessel continued by calling her an idiot. When I wrote about it, he proceeded to tell me in an email that I was a bigger idiot than she. When the owner of the hotel in which she was staying called Mr. Sessel, she was not only yelled at but sworn at as well. So, needless to say this experience caused us to think twice and book with another company, avoiding most of the unfortunate experiences that are describe in the other one star reviews. First off this is a review from somebody who used to work as a tour guide for this horrid company and lowest lifeform of a human you will ever meet, the OWNER SESSEL. Along with the Head Tour Guide Jeff who knows exactly what Sessels doing. Do not let Jeff fool you. He's a nice guy but he's there to rip people off for Sessel just so he can get paid. If you go to bbb.com and look up his reviews you will find years worth of people who were scammed by this company. Just like I was. At the end of the tour season he kept my last check of $900 and basically told me to fuck off. Beyond that let me tell you how a couple of tours went. I was sent on a 2 day tour with a couple from Germany throughout AZ and UT. I was given a Subaru Outback which ended up breaking down on our way to Monument Valley. We're talking 100 degree heat, middle of no-where and the car breaks down. After getting the car restarted I had to turn around and go back to Page, AZ where we started our day. Mind you the car wouldn't go above 35 so an hour drive back to Page took about 2 1/2 hrs. The customers would not be doing ANY of the second day of their tour. They were actually pretty nice about but said they would just relax today and call Sessel for a refund. That's where things got interesting. As the husband talked to Sessel on the phone things got escalated very quick as they were told they would not be refunded ANY of their money for ANYTHING. They were not happy to say the least. Sessel went about his normal ways of calling them idiots and retards for thinking they would have their money refunded. HE WILL NEVER REFUND YOUR MONEY, EVER!!!! When the husband got off the phone I was so embarrassed at how they were treated. I apologized and told them that was the first time I'd actually heard him talk like that, which it was, but other guests would immediately start telling me how rude he was as soon as they got in my vehicle. Almost every time. In the long run they never got to go to Monument Valley that day and were never refunded their money. Just like everyone else. This guy has no morals. I don't even know if he's an American citizen. He's a South African who thought he could come to America and scam as many people as he wants because most of them live outside of our borders and can't or don't pursue legal matters. He's the only one who answers the phones at his main office and will treat you like garbage the second you ask him one question or need to change ANYTHING. If I see this guy again... Anyways, anyone who spends that kind of money and doesn't do their research on this company is going to get a crappy tour. He has to hire new guides every season cuz he screws over everybody besides his partner in crime Jeff. The new guides have no idea what they're doing and don't care either. I made reservations on Tuesday. Then, got a confirmation that they received it on Wednesday. They then sent me an email on Thursday requesting to fax copy of my credit card and DL since I was trying to purchase these tickets for my nieces. I was out of town at this time so I told them I would fax the requested documents when I returned on Saturday. When I emailed them on Monday to confirm the reservations. Sessel responded: I don't know what you are talking about? You did not reply to the email on May 2nd. I then forwarded my replies.And, I said (out of desperation) if my nieces could ride his bus, I promised to write positive reviews. He replied: Do not threaten me, I do not respond to blackmail. Wow! This company charges way too much for their unprofessional service. They put you up in a dilapidated hotel that is in serious need of remodel. They do not have any tours themselves, but instead book you with other companies; generally the companies they use are good, though. DO NOT TRAVEL WITH THIS COMPANY --- TOTAL RIP-OFF --- We took the Yellowstone tour from Salt Lake City 5/9/12 thru 5/12/12, a 3-night stay. The total cost for (2), double occupancy, was $1414. We compared our price with other travelers who paid 50% less and had better accommodations. We stayed at Al's Westward Ho, a shabby dump with no coffee; no phones; no hairdryer; no air-conditioning; no updates in 50 + years. One Horse Inn Motel at the same location was offering double occupancy rooms at $50 a night with a continental breakfast included. We traveled on the Salt Lake City Express to Yellowstone priced at $80 one way. Two tours of Yellowstone, priced at $60 each and two bagged lunches at $10 each. WHERE DID BUNDUBASHERS COME UP WITH A PRICE for (1 PERSON) of $707? Our free first night dinner consisted of pizza, salad or panini sandwich and a drink. Sounds more like a lunch, doesn't it? When we arrived at the hotel, the owner was nervous and couldn't get us out of the lobby fast enough. We met our guide down the street, around the block. Bundubashers is a poorly organized company who subcontracts everything out. Our only luck was having guides from Yellowston Park with years of experience and new, air-conditioned vans to ride in. This only happened because Bundubashers guides were in training at Salt Lake City, Ut. Sounds like they were getting a crash-training course of Yellowstone National Park. That would surely be a disaster and would never do the park justice. THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE PUT OUT-OF-BUSINESS; THE SOONER THE BETTER. Having just finished a tour with Bundu Bashers, I can honestly say I would never travel again with company. They basically implied (threatened) that they would leave us in Death Valley unless we paid the full amount of the tour again. You're wary of such treatment in places like Eygpt with camel rides into the desert, but you don't expect it in the US! Whilst the tour was good and covered what we wanted to see, the administration side of this company is worse than abysmal. It was someone called "Sessel" who ruined it all and was the one who threatened us. He had heard that the credit card we had booked the tour on had been cancelled 7 days prior to the start of the tour due to credit card fraud and threatened to leave my 85 year old Grandmother and I stranded in the middle of Death Valley unless we immediately gave him a new card number so he could charge the full amount again! (Bear in mind that most of the payment is taken about 45 days before the tour starts!) So he wanted it all paid again, despite the fact that he did not know how much he had already received. He promised to refund the money already paid, however we are till waiting!!! Needless to say, I was not happy with the situation and when I asked for more time to check what we owed (if anything) he refused. He stated we could not continue without paying the full amount again. I asked for a compromise and he lost his temper and shouted at me, telling me the situation was "unacceptable"! It entirely ruined what was up until then an ok (and I do mean only ok!) tour. He has the social skills of a Duck billed platypus - although they look cute, they have poisonous spikes on their hind legs and are notoriously evil tempered! I just called the booking line (I pressed #12 after calling their number) for the Bryce Canyon and Zion tour from Las Vegas and the guy (I didn't catch his name) kept telling me that he couldn't tell me for sure whether they would be leaving on the date that I want and only that they leave daily if there are 5 people minimum. I kept asking because I needed to know if we were going for sure in case we needed to make other plans. He eventually hung up on me and told me that he couldn't help me.
